I use butter (real butter, not margarine) for almost everything unless it involves high temp frying. Have you ever tried ghee (clarified butter)? It has an extremely high smoke point and is butter with the milk solids removed so it will not burn, smell, or discolor when you use it at high temperatures, but still has a wonderful buttery taste...

What was the total cook time on those? I do the frozen ones. I can never get them to stay together in a patty. I'm sure I'm not using enough oil and butter. But I also think I don't wait long enough before I try and flip them. I'm frustrated. The hash browns are good. Just not in a patty. HELP!!!!! 😢😅 Good Vid. Be Blessed. 😊 Shawn
I probably wouldn’t want to go over 400ish because it will burn the outside before the inside is ready. My griddle got up around 430° before I turned it down.
Do your upstairs neighbors ever complain about smoke or grease buildup? I tried cooking on my blackstone griddle in my 1 bedroom apartment but wound up getting arrested for disabling the smoke alarms (apparently that is a federal crime). After the first flip putting the dome over the crispy side up piles, does the steam reduce the crispiness of that first contact with the griddle? I was thinking i would have the dome on for the first half of the cook then after the flip, cook uncovered as to preserve the nice top crust. Do you think Lindsey Graham might get unvestigated for intimidating the ag of Georgia? I mean what business does that guy have meddling with another states pollitics?? #vanlife #keepamericagreat #upwithgeorgia
Yes, putting the dome on does make them a little less crispy at first but if you keep cooking them they still get crispy. I’d like to cover them to make sure the inside gets nice and cooked. But it will work pretty good either way.
I think you should only cover them for a few minutes or so, then just let them cook in the open, or with a press resting on them. That is, if you like your hashbrowns to be nice and crispy.
I like to be around 400 for hash browns. Put some oil and butter down and then make sure you have oil and butter down where you flip it. Thanks for watching!
This is life altering!!!!!!!
Wow, pump the breaks there big guy!
Great video. Thank you for showing us all 3 types of Hashbrowns!

Yeah I make my own all the time but it never lasts lol. I’ve never bought the pre-made stuff though. I’ll have to look out for that.
Clarified butter is nasty. REAL butter only.
Drops spoon on the floor, wipes it on ass, it's all right... lol I do the same.
Looks good! I will be making hashbrowns soon.
Good luck! They’re super easy on the blackstone!
Doin a great job bud
Love your videos 📹

👍 liked video how long it took them to cook?
Bout 15 mins!
can I make hash browns from raw grated potatoes just like in my cast iron skillet?
Wish you had of done freshly grated potatoes. Simply Potatoes isn’t really fresh. It’s closer to fresh but not really. I love your videos and page.
Looking good 👍🤛🏅
Thanks for stopping by! 👍
watching this again to say good demo!
Thanks buddy!
Max session!
Haha thanks for watching!
They can have the frozen while I eat the fresh. Lol... Damn it I earned it woman!!!!!!
Lol you know it
Thumbs up!
Nice. Like mine loaded
Good call on that.
How long does it take to cook the hashbrown Patty’s?
It depends on temp and how frozen they are but I’d say 8-10 mins
How long on each side?
I like to do 10 mins minimum then check to make sure they’re nice and brown
Use Simply Hash brown brand and go pro
Is it me or is it weird his griddle is inside.
Which ones were better? frozen or fresh?
I’d still go with the fresh but the frozen were not bad either. Thanks for watching.
@@GriddleGrub Yup, thats what i was thinking too! Fresh is Best
Yezzir!
what is too hot?

Why do you cover them?
I like to get them nice and hot from top to bottom.

Is that Bad Religion in the background?
No it’s just a free soundtrack from iMovie. 3xtreme from Taylor McClam.
Wouldn't be a bad video if there was some better editing.
What did you set the temp at?
I like to be around 400 for hash browns. Put some oil and butter down and then make sure you have oil and butter down where you flip it. Thanks for watching!
