- Housing projects/council estate from north west north weezy feat notorius crime areas such as Harleseden which includes estates such as stonebridge, st.rapheals,church end and roundwood road. also places like chalkhill and south kilburn estates
the first estate the stonebridge that one is up there with the worst estates in London. God knows how many people was killed on that estate.
I remember playing there as a kid, sure it was dangerous but there was a real community spirit and people looked out for each other, better than the gentrification going on now that’s driving the working class out of the ends.
we grew up hard in the endz. when i was there the flats were join up. love this video. wish i could see more. the urban decay has some art to it..
A lot of it is gone now, or lined up to be demolished
Dangerous place Stonebridge. I got stabbed 3 times and mugged 4 times there and got shot once and that was all before lunch.......not going back there, for sure. I'm staying in Royal Windsor-On-Thames...:(

I moved onto Stonebridge estate from Chalk hill when i was 3 yrs old and moved off at 13, I was stabbed twice before i was 10 and shot in the wrist when i was 12. fighting on the street was a daily occurrence but it was where i grew up, I moved back onto the estate when i was 17 and lived there for another two yrs. Now i'm 42 been married and divorced own my own home and living comfortably about 6 miles from stonebridge . I have no regrets growing up there as it made me the person i am now and i quite like the person i am ....I had a lot of good friends on the estate and some real good times.... As for the so called wanna be gangsters If you grow up on an estate with a reputation like Stonebridge then your expected to behave in a way that fits your enviroment .... People grow up and reach out for a better life and want better for their children just the same as anywhere else....

Two - Tricky It was not a "no-go" area. I live in Park Royal right now and grew up around bridge and Harlesden when it was the gun capital. It wasn't as bad as people make out. You just had to be aware and on your toes most of the time, but it wasn't a "no-go" area.
Yeah maybe "a no go area" was a tad over the top and your right pal it wasn't as bad as some people make will out it was, like you say you just had to aware and keep on your toes, especially if you was white. Although saying that the blacks were at each other all the time. Blacks from all sorts of different countries, continents even. Glad they demolished all them high rise though it attracted problems. There was a pub on the High St, it's probably gone now. decent pub as well, I used to help out in there a few times a week, god what was it called. But yeah I have happy memories of Harlsden. If people asked me where I lived it was easier to tell em NW10. If I told em Harlsden they would be like WHERE you say Harlem. So I do apologize to you and all other Harldsenites if I have offended YOU.

I grew up in Harlesden, went to school in the area, lived all my life in Brent, it was not like this in the 1970's and 80's and even 90's. Where the Church end estate is now there was a row of houses and they demolished them and built this awful estate that breed gangs.

the only real ghettos or close to ghetto areas with crime are in nwlondon are st raphaels estate, Stonebridge estate, Church road estate, and south kilburn. but to be honest, they are much closer to west london than nwlondon.

im from north west london, i live in wembley. and lemme tel u the truth. its the most safest place ever. theres no "ghettos" i used to live in warwick estate which was much worse, evry time u go outside u have a feeling u gna get shot or stabbed. nw london is such a fine privallaged place, and btw the images u saw of stonebridge and chalkhill were the old buildings. they were demolished in 2000 and more houses were made.
