I find it so freaking weird that they revert to old parkour, instead of using the newest iteration of the parkour system present in the story. How well does it control? I've never played Black Flag's multiplayer before.
It controls great. My guess is they know they old system is much more precise with movement so when you’re going against other players you need to be able to make complex movements and the new system just can’t handle that. Just my guess though
@@DaSkyrim no, it was because the old AC1 to AC Revelations system provided more player control and more animation cancellations than the AC3 to AC Rogue system, which lowered input delay, therefore allowing a better multiplayer experience.

Altair/Ezio simply has the best control/precision and skill requirement to do complex and faster parkour stunts. Why do you think so many fans love the OG ezio parkour better ? it is simply better and this is proof and enough as well as ubi's admission in multiplayer you are up against other human players so it is much more important to implement oppurtunity to reward skillful precise paekour since it will be requirement to outparkour and survive other human players. which simply wont be fun with kenway saga's auto parkour
I mean nobody knows the actual reason since Ubisoft never acknowledged it. The people saying it was laziness or even an intentional gameplay decision are just guessing. My guess is it was just a logistical thing. The multiplayer was likely developed by a different studio/team starting from brotherhood to black flag and they used the base engine and just expanded upon that rather than trying to also build it from scratch when they hit the kenway saga.

That run animation is the one they used in the early stages of AC3 idk why they didn’t keep it
