- Ramathipadi I (Khmer: រាមាធិបតីទី១), also known as Ponhea Chan (Khmer: ពញាចន្ទ ) or Sultan Ibrahim (Jawi: سلطان إبراهيم) as the King of Cambodia (Kambuja) between 1642-1658.
He led the Cambodian-Dutch War (Dutch: Cambodjaans-Nederlandse Oorlog; Khmer: សង្គ្រាមកម្ពុជា-ហូឡង់) from 1643-1644 to keep the neutrality of Cambodia against European commercial interest notably trade conflict between declining Catholic Portuguese Empire and the rising Protestant Dutch Company.
VOC was defeated twice by Cambodians and their allies between 1643 and 1644 at commercial city of Phnom Penh. With the Cambodians suffering 1,000 dead, and the Dutch forces suffering 156 dead out of 432 soldiers n addition multiple Dutch warships fell into Cambodian hands.
It was not until two centuries later that European influence in Cambodia could recover from the defeat inflicted on the Dutch.

Fun fact: Champa and Kelantan have a deep relationship between each other, their royal families used to marry each other. Chams Muslim often come to Kelantan to study about Islam. Even Po Rome has a connection with the Kelantan Sultanate, he stayed in Kelantan for several years before ascending as king.

Sultan Ibrahim was the only Muslim ruler of Cambodia. He was overthrown later. Champa Kingdom of South Vietnam became Muslim when its king reverted to Islam, but this kingdom was later captured by Dai Viet Kingdom.
@@mts-sultan6209 in Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Thailand during medieval era, attempts to make these 4 countries Muslim kingdoms failed because the people of these countries are traditionally attached to Buddhism this is why rebellions and anti-Muslim coalitions in the Indochina region were commonplace and often emerged triumphant. At that time, the kingdoms of Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam and Laos never recognized the legitimacy of Muslim kings in these countries because for a large part of the population, these sovereigns were considered apostates towards the Buddhist community and today it is this same traditionalist policy which is in force if a Muslim became the leader of one of its 4 countries, he would quickly be expelled.

Ayutthaya is not Khmer or Combodia, and Khmer does not have long boats like Ayutthaya style. Why do you distort history? The beautiful handicrafts of the Thai people belong to the Thai people. It is not the work of Khmer people.
Ayutthaya kingdom is not a Sukothai Kingdom but a Siamese/muslim Kingdom. Ayutthaya had 33 kings who ruled before Takhsin made himself king. The kings of Ayutthaya are related to the Kedah/Langkasuka kingdom, not only that but some kingdoms in the Thailand such as Tambralingga, Nagara Sri Dharmaraja and Patani are the kingdoms of the Malay royal family, especially the Malay Segenting Kra. The kings of Ayutthaya were hunted by Sukothai.
Siam/Syam is a sub-ethnicity between Mon-Khmer-Malays, especially Malay Segenting Kra from Southern Thailand and Northern Malaysia. The Thai Kings imitated the culture of the Gulf of Siamese people and assimilated the Thai as Siamese. Thai imitates the Khmer language and Thai imitates the Malay architecture of Segenting Kra, for example the Stupa in Nakhom Si Thammarat is the Malay architecture of Tambralingga .

I think it's because of the lack of historical movies in Southeast Asia. That's why there's mixed clips from movies/documentary with clothing style and culture span different era from different regions
If I remember correctly, there are some scenes in the movie. From the movie King Naresuan the Great which is a Thai historical film from the Ayutthaya period. You should give credit to Thai films.

This channel isn't even a Khmer channel yet all the Thai folk came in bashes us in the comments. To all thai folk, the intention of this channel owner is to tell a story with visual as examples. The clip used are from different movies across southeast asia, mostly from Thailand. I saw a few from Cambodia, Vietnam and others as well. Yes, this can be considered as breaching copy right law, but since UA-cam still allowed it, that mean that this video isn't breaching anything yet. Moreover, even in your own Movie King Naresuan the Great,your King was being disrespectful to the dead by chopping off their head, so much for being a Buddhist, and when our General called him out, he got angry and ruin the treaty between his father, the then King of Ayutthaya, and King Settha of Longvek. Later on after when he ascend and become king, he invaded longvek during it weakest state after year of mismanagement from the nobles and capture our general, I don't know what the relationship between our general and your king later on during that period, but according to european documents, our general were later on on good terms with King Naresuan as shown by how King Naresuan allowed our general to comeback to Cambodia to quell civil unrest. Later on, our independence were respected by King Naresuan, but the new king, Ekothot re-started the war, but soon after Ayutthaya had fallen to Burma yet again.
