That's mad cool! It reminds me of Shovel Knight's down smash in Rivals of Aether (again, a jumping ground stab that creates a field of energy/fire). Running forward and dragging the opponents into the abyss always feels wonderful
besides his downsmash ichigo has always been broken if my memory serves me right. his range with his normal attacks have a pretty big hit box and some attacks hit above and behind.

I remember on this one stage of SF you had a cofirm kill at any percentage with goku by using backthrow at a part of the stage, goes without saying I abused the shit out if it. every time my friends went in that space, they'd immediately remembered their pain, but it was too late, they were already withing my grab and BOOM cheapest win in existence. The only thing that made it fun was the laughs of my friends as they'd say something around "Fuck me, I can't believe I just walked I to that AGAIN"
Minus that fact, any *casuals* wouldn't even know to think lowly of the move, to begin with to careー (٥↼∀↼) If anything I feel like _most_ people would just think it's some cool tech, and nothing more.

besides his downsmash ichigo has always been broken if my memory serves me right. his range with his normal attacks have a pretty big hit box and some attacks hit above and behind.
The only problem it's that he can be rather slow and has a high execution barrier but his kit is AWESOME
