This ep. is phenomenal. From the Baelin easter egg to the continuity of Rowan only recognizing employees from their shirt. Great job guys❤️🔥
There is a very real condition where people have trouble recognizing faces called prosopagnosia. Maybe Rowan has it.
@@HariSeldon913 It's just a gag they do. It's not that deep.
Lets not forget Rowan can't remember Adam without his glasses.
@karinneeskens sorry, are you a doctor? This is actually deep

You gotta admit: Rowan's memory is clearly nothing short of amazing. And congrats, TechTown! Blygon sounds like a great hire!

I love how they’ve kept the joke that Rowan can’t recognise people unless they’re in their uniforms
where was that before?
@@Rilex037 mainly in the episode “Staff Only”. Kind of applies in the episode “The Superman Effect” too.
There’s probably other examples I’m forgetting. But those are the first that come to mind.
In the early episodes when Adam was recently added to the team and more later on, Rowan shows how even taking off a pair of glasses confuses him.
Yet, when it was the white/gold shirt saga, apparently he knew who was who, so y'know. I guess his confusion happens randomly and very suddenly.
Reminds me of Batman from College Humor.
Well, that's prosopagnosia for you...
Love how Alan has accepted Rowan's quirks and started to find solutions to make things work anyway
Accepted is a strong word... jaded to Rowan's quirks and has achieved peak fuck-it maybe closer to the mark.
Totally agree with the working around the obstacle that is Rowan tho lol.
@@jaquilynnblaque6888That is exactly what acceptance is. 😉
I love that Alan's so honest that he *tries* to tell Rowan about the phone call before giving up and helping Byron.

You don’t know how badly I wanted Rowan to call himself and have a conversation
I was waiting for Rowan's cell phone to ring!
Not only that, I was expecting Rowan to lie about what was said on the phone too.
Thought so too, having a 2 way conversation with himself
I'm willing to bet that they originally wanted to do that but couldn't think of a proper way to make it work
SOOOO BADLY! He probably would say, "Sorry, getting another call, will have to put you on hold." Then go to his cellphone and realize no one is on the other end xD
“A delivery man?”

It brings me so much joy how Alan had Byron’s back.
This was quite simply an absolute masterpiece. First, the reversal of the old "Rowan knows who Byron is, Alan has no clue" thing, but then the reveal that it was actually Rowan's face-blindness/inability to recognise people without their uniform that caused it and not his general manager-Rowan-ness? Chef's kiss! Also the Baelin part was great 😂

Oh and yeah that f--- you at the end made me laugh harder then i have in days.

@31animafan I know sarcasm can be hard to pick in online comments, so let me start by saying I'm NOT being sarcastic when I say yes, you're right. Face blindness is a thing. It may be an autism spectrum thing, as I'm on the spectrum, and although it's not like this, I do need to spend quality time with someone before I recognise them beyond just their clothes or hair style
I'm amazed by Rowan's ability to never register people's face and just recognize them by their clothes, Alan's praise was very wholesome with all the praise and seeing the gratitude in Byron's face, then as soon as he puts on his uniform Rowan starts breaking down, and his wholesomeness kinda made up for earlier. Also, I was wishing Byron would come back and get some screen time in the new store and I wasn't let down.
I'd love to see this explored further as the reason Rowan treats all the redshirts like peons as he sees them essentially as the same person... like there was an employee back in the early days that was a pain in the arse and wore a redshirt, so now everybody is treated the same way. The only way he learned to tell them somewhat apart was by another distinguishing feature like their shoes. So what happens if they all change their shoes?
I mean 'Rowans' character could have prosopagnosia which is were they cant recognise faces but other things like clothes
That little "Baelin" insert, hilarious.
I love that he cant recognize either of them outside of uniform
I absolutely LOVE the continuity and consistency of Rowan's face blindness. It's been done so well for years now. It wouldn't work without Rowan pulling the acting off so well and everyone else pulling the reacting off just as well. You guys are amazing. ❤❤❤
