In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.
It’s Joe Wilkinson’s Revenge. The red green is cursed until the end of time.
"Can't touch the red green."
Everyone: *gets ptsd flashbacks from season 2 potato in the hole*
Every time i see that red green i get wartime flashbacks
Greatest "what could've been" in TM history
i know it's kinda off topic but does anyone know of a good website to stream new tv shows online?

Mawaan being terrified of Daisy was absolutely brilliant
And absolutely genuine!
@@TheHarmacist001 no he shouldn't have
@@TheHarmacist001 He wasn't a rat. The producers obviously knew all of them fucked up and it was just for dramatic effect, else they wouldn't have the footage ready. Also, with the sheer number of times Mawaan was disqualified throughout the series (this was the 5th I think) and everyone jumping on him those times, he deserved at least some form of redemption.
@@justinnaniong7872 I think "paypack" would suit more than "redemption"
@@qwertyTRiG Because she's just more and more unlikeable and aggressive as fuck. They even changed the teams for the team task, so probably Richard didn't want to deal with her after last time
God, these 5 are the most incompetent group ever.
I'm loving this series.
Oh you're only saying that because they've now had two different tasks in the series where every contestant disqualified themselves.
They are THE BEST! Ilove them all :)
Series 7: "I know it's early, but are we the worst?"
Series 10: (laughter)
BIG back of class energy
@@47Jaspers series 7 is my favorite
Greg standing up and every single one of them crying with laughter while trying not to make a noise is the best thing I've seen this quarantine!
G Porto It had very strong classroom vibes. Greg definitely was a teacher you didn’t want to disappoint.
The teacher in me recognised the teacher in Greg in that moment. Such respect for his ability to control a "classroom"
I appreciate Mawaan pulling the drawstrings of his hoodie tight. There’s always one person doing that.
"This quarantine" ..ugh
I expected him to say that he was deeply disappointed in everyone's behaviour and that they can do better than this
Richard acting the murder mystery all by himself was an actual masterpiece, he totally deserved the win. I feel like Alex has been a lot more giggly this season than previously too, it's absolutely lovely to see. What an amazing ride this season is turning out to be.
But who was the murderer ? :D
@@filipkrajc842 probably the man in the Bush.
Personally i think R. Herring is this years mole.
Alex's reaction to Katherine's f-bomb!
instead of bringing something from her kitchen, daisy brought something from her bathroom. i’m glad to see she’s switching it up, and branching out into new prize territories!
Next we might get something from her garage!
What makes you think it wasn't her kitchen
Last week was from the bathroom too!
Literally the first thing that popped into my head when they read the 'with wings' was, that lazy fucker Daisy is just gonna grab one of her old sanitary pads, not even a pack, just one pad...
@@jonsmith5058 Well we're lucky she didn't just a get a used one.
I love how Mawaan started giggling when he realized everyone else was disqualified as well, before adopting an ashamed look.
Katherine filling water into a net like a mad woman is an image I'll never forget.
how did she go from that to thinking to check the fridge...
Omg imagine Johnny Vegas, Rhod Gilbert, and Hugh Dennis in a team. Vegas would be panicking, Gilbert would be thinking aggressively in a corner and then there's just Dennis, calmly waiting for them to think of an idea.
Dennis just gets out the knives
I mean Rhod, James, and Phil during that build an attachment task was already the "perfect" team.
Please add Liza Tarbuck to the mix......
They would accidentally burn the house down
@@matthew5386 I don’t think it would be accidental
Everyone: especific faces and deep stories
Jonhy Vegas: sleepy frog
he did an amazing job with it though
All seven people trying to keep a straight face through that moment of silence may be one of the most wonderful things I've seen on the show.
The moment when Mawaan pulled his hoodie closed around his face killed me.
I mean... Johnny in his little turtleneck... so precious...
And always looks so disappointed when he doesn't do well. He really tries so hard and is so genuine!
The return of someone being eliminated for touching the red green
I literally shouted "JOE WILKINSON!" as soon as I saw that. XD XD
At least they are consistent this time.
'Someone'
'Someone' is technically correct, the best kind of correct.
@ Every time I see that red green, Iget flashbacks of that episode. It still hurts to this day.
The scene with only Richard Herring's is peak Richard Herring.
It almost makes me think Alex designed it for him specifically.
It wouldn't shock me if Richard had a much less busy schedule than the other contestants - he does loads of podcasts but he seems like the contestant who would have an extra free day or afternoon for them to play around with.
either way they had way too much fun writing that script!
This series has been fucking brilliant but this episode especially "I love making friends" "she's like a fucking wasp" and Johnny falling over was too great
He just rolls out of it as well - nearly no loss in speed. That has for sure happened before. Hilarious.
I wonder if that was before or after he fell off/through the ladder!
Silence moment was like a teacher whom students actually like, got disappointed on them.
"I am mad...and I am also disappointed."
😂 It was so hilarious
Well he was a teacher...
@@NOTNOTJON yes that was such a powerful dramatic moment!
Brilliant acting-along from everybody too!
@@Walperion_Music I honestly thought I saw tears in Katherine's eyes at some points during her dressings-down. I can't decide if she was just acting or was actually upset, but either way I respect the hell out of her!
The Taskmaster Channel is the actual hero of 2020
Ok, the Richard Herring Cut of this thrilling murder mystery is a surrealist masterpiece. Jesus H. Christ, my sides.
I'm baffled by how many accents went into his "Scottish" one, none of them close
All of his accents became Indian
especially the part where he goes " three thousan PUND" 😂
@@shamsa1881okay! What Indian are we talking about? American Indian or Indian? not really Indian I would say. More like arabic. Why? Coz not enough retroflex- iness
Fun fact: The H in Jesus H Christ stands for Herring.
Katherine Parkinson is such a damn trooper for finishing the show while being this (wonderfully) awful at it
Plus she's still trying unlike Alice Levine who pretty much checked out by episode 4
Usually whoever is in last place is the most entertaining. I'm really digging Katherine.
@@parshooter2in2
Shut your pretty lie-hole about Alice Levine.
And, also, Katherine Parkinson.
I just want to give her a hug and tell her it's alright, we still love her performance.
What do you mean, that coconut task was genius.
Kudos to the editing team there. That acting task must have been a massive pain in the ass.
Yeah it looked so realistic
The only way I know it was shot separately is they’re framed exactly the same as in Richard’s solo turn. Otherwise I’d be sure they were all filming together.
i think johnny is the first contestant i’ve ever, and repeatedly, in almost every single episode, felt genuinely sorry for, and 10:32 in this one really made that fact hit home 😭😂 he’s just trying so so hard
Mawaan was so good in the acting bit, he remembered so much so well, robbed again like last week.
kudos to katherine for figuring out to go to fridge given the multiple prior tasks where it seems like she'd assumed she couldn't leave the room.
I assume after 'group task' day she cottoned on to the show's lateral thinking bent
I love Alex’s reaction to Katherine getting 5 points - 40:41 - they are the best double act!!
Can we all please take a moment to admire Greg and Alex's choice of socks! They're amazing!
Foot fetishees
I liked when in series six they wore the same socks.
Gotta love colorful/silly socks with dark costumes
Do believe it's themed troughout a season. (They're wearing silly patterns this one)
They don't match! It's sad! Sigh the pandemic comes for us all.
That moment of silence when he stood up and greeved about eveyone's performance was such a powerful dramatic teacher moment!
Brilliant acting-along from everybody too!
Howw did Mawaan only get 2 points for the acting? he was brilliant
Stupid racists...
@@phs125 who?
While his acting may have been good, his accents were off
@@phs125 don't bring racism into everything
Greg hates Mawaan. Always rips him off.
Johnny's face when he said "Chips!" 😂 He was so proud of his choice of prize, such a sweetheart.
Rich just straight up walked into the redgreen, such an icon
Katherine not realizing that you got points for the prize tasks gives a lot of context to the season. Given the level of prizes, I wonder if any of them knew lol
I actually feared for Mawaan's life for a seconde there.
"Did you see her with the hippo task? She'll fuck you up, mate."
18 min mark when Greg channeled his teaching days and everyone was basically in detention🙈😂
18:00
30:16 You know, I don't see Richard Herring mentioned here as often as all the others, which is a shame cause he think he's really damn charming and a great sport, but I've been waiting for the task where he really shines above everyone else.
Pretty sure this is it.
Yeah I've been having the same thought. Richard Herring always did his tasks with good-natured enthusiasm, without the dysfunctional competitiveness like that of Iain Stirling or Lou Sanders. Even when Greg gave him low points, he accepted the result with a charming smile. I'm so happy to see him win this episode.
I’m so glad they gave him this task, we deserved to appriciate his charm
He's great but unfortunately he's outshined by the others
For some reason, Alex's "Do you want to see two measured and calm individuals? Daisy and Johnny?" And Greg's "Yeah I knew it was them" fucking killed me.
Richard totally deserve this win this episode, he was on fire for almost all of it. So glad he got his beloved winged prize back too
39:11 One of the most unabashed laughs for Greg's jokes I've ever heard from Alex! He's laughing/"breaking character" a lot this series, I love it
I agree that he’s been breaking more, but being a sycophant for Greg isn’t necessarily outside of his constructed character.
3:47 "🎶If you kill a wasp, it produces a chemical in the wasp, that attracts people who tell you facts about wasps🎶" - Mike Wozniak, the future
Somehow, Richard managed to make Geordie, Scottish, and Welsh accents sound like the owner of my local curry house
I was thinking the same.
I love how tactfully they switched the groups so that poor Richard doesn’t get murdered by Daisy.
After the acting task Daisy was the first to stand up to applaud Richard's effort. Just saying.
@@martinmaguire-music6692 of course she was, and they clearly all get along, but Richard looked genuinely upset when she was so angry and I can’t blame him for that.
Everyone needs a bit of a break sometimes.
@@klaythoring1326 Sorry I mistook your comment for one of those rather less generous ones that crop up on this series re: Daisy. I see now I was hasty :)
tactfully? they literally said it was because of that - and they didn't even have to interact with their teammate in this task. didn't really seem worth it.
Apparently, Richard suggested that he and Daisy were separated not because they didn't get on, but because they were ahead of the pack in the series scores, so if they were on the same team and won this one it would make it harder for the other three to catch up.
We are rapidly approaching the end of the season, its terrifying! What will I do without weekly Taskmaster? Guess I'll just have to go back and watch some old Taskmaster!
I’m in full quarantine and watched the entire series over again. Still great!
lets hope they also release season 8 and 9
we'll probably get series 8 and 9
And hopefully the first two series too
This sounds very fitting in Greg's voice.
I'm two and a half minutes in and already losing my shit at how much Johnny looks like he owns a fishing boat and sells fishfingers.
"I's our old friend..." I expected the swedish guy!
Fred
Johnny Vegas tripped over the new low of the prize task.
I thought it was very underrated. at least he was creative with it.
Why do I feel like Greg has genuinely had to teach with a small block of soap he's mistaken for gum before...
Because he's 6'7" and has bad eyesight. So everything looks fuzzy to him from his vantage point.
6’8” 👍
Omg I'm dying of laughter when they all failed the water task. 17:45
A little disappointed nobody decided to throw the coconut onto the floor and wolf it down, but these folks are a little too civilised I suppose
Yeah same I definitely would've done that but then again that just means we both got disqualified
Romesh and Tim melon flashbacks!
We've all come a long way since series 1
Daisy with the melon task though
*Romesh Ranganathan stares angrily
I think I take for granted how good the editing is on this show, and specifically how bang-on the order they show things in to up the comedy, and then you see the murder mystery and having Richard just in the bush for the first two edits, followed by all him. Genius.
Richard is a legend for doing all the lines in 10 mins. Massive respect.
To be clear, everyone got 10 minutes *per part*. They had 10 minutes to learn the lines of one part, then they filmed it in one take. Then they took another 10 minutes for the next part. So it wasn't like everyone had 10 minutes to learn 2 parts, and Richard had 10 to learn 4 (5).
The second they announced the prize task I immediately thought about a pad with wings and couldn’t stop laughing and then Daisy actually said it 😂
They show us the same scene three times and we don't get to know who the murderer is??
I bet we’ll find out in a later episode
I think it was Richard in the final one tbh
@@Seanboom nah, I bet it was Alex. He already scammed that one guy out of £3000
Spoiler alert, but listen to the podcast and all will be revealed.
@@Genitianadinarica or u could just tell us
At the "chill the fuck out" I just lost it hahaha Katherine going rouge has to be one of my favourite moments of this series
Herring's prize tasks' head falling off at the end and Alex expression after the event 😂😂😂
I think Alex says "that's on me" he's so adorable.
This series is so fitting for this year. Geniuenly tragic but also so hilarious in its sheer akwardness and unbeliveability.
so true :D :D :D underrated comment
Richard has the whole Monthy Python crew in him.
42:23 Richard Herring as a lost little girl might be the funniest moment out of the entire series
He was brilliant, but that sleepy frog bit had me rolling on the floor.
U know it's gonna be a good task when Katherine says "oh no" when Alex announces the task 🤣🤣🤣
Mike Wozniak's song about dead wasps attracting people who tell you facts about wasps is on display right here.
The way the iPad fell made it even sadder
I now know why that outtakes featured the Chicken auctioneer chokehold anecdote
@Captainkitty25 YT timestamp please
"who wants to be a sillyonair?"
Am I the only one who caught Mawaan's 'thats a lot of LAYERS' joke after they said 'chicken auctioneer'?
I don't get it?
@@rabia94chocolate Layers is a class of chicken
@@Ramonerdna I don't eat chickens so I had to look it up, thanks Ramon!
For everyone who doesn't know what chicken layers are -
Layer poultry farming means raising egg laying poultry birds for the purpose of commercial egg production. Layer chickens are such a special species of hens, which need to be raised from when they are one day old. They start laying eggs commercially from 18-19 weeks of age.
"I should've expected that." This one had me in tears! There's something very enjoyable about watching Katherine struggle to fill a net with water.
"Everyone just needs to calm the fuck down!" Perfect improv from Katherine.
Even before anyone said anything i was like: Daisy will bring in panty liners!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
First thing I thought of.
I want to remember Greg as "prejudiced against periods" from this day onwards😂
@@maiNmusica If this was early seasons Greg he would've given her 1 point with a frown just to make a point.
At least we know that Bob Mortimer is no longer alone in his struggle against gravity.
"Well I don't like eating chicken on the bone, it makes me feel sick"
Finally someone said it. Thought I was alone my whole life.
How many times has someone told you the "bone-taste" is the best bit? I hate it, I hate them, and I tell them they're psychopaths.
@@eddyblackmore2834 Lol, actually I've never gotten that, just 'you're fucked-up' or similar.
I recall eating chicken as a kid and when I got near the bone there was this black/blue staining and connective tissue where I assume it connected the bones together or whatever.
Screw that, I'm a tiddy-man, only chicken breasts from now on. Or the various types of boneless meats you can get, obviously.
'I love making friends' 13:10
Richard Herring was actually amazing in that scenario task. Loved that.
18:18 I loved how the scoreboard just rearranges itself for no apparent reason whatsoever. Well done.
was katherine's gift task actually a callbeak to the IT Crowd episode where she was shown a dead fly?
"Look, Jen! A fly"
I'm glad Johnny still has a chance to win the series. He is my absolute favourite.
I love Johnny too
1:45 The way the tablet slides off his face in response to Greg's taunting is perfect.
all of them completely failing at doing the task and then looking ashamed was one of the funniest things I've seen on this show LOOOL
and the 2020 Academy Award goes to Richard Herring for the Wanking Bushman
Love how they scrambled the scoring board even for the zero point change :D
The look Katherine gives the camera in the refrigerator while pulling out the coconut water: "Nailed it".
Its amazing how Katherine always looks like she's about to cry or just stopped crying
Johnny gets so stressed out sometimes that I worried for half the tasks in this series that he'd give himself a heart attack. Good fellow
Ferfect Fried chicken actually exists and looks like that.
It's in Forest Hill
I thought Mawaan's painting was so adorable. Knowing it exists makes me so happy.
You mean in Porest Hill
the disappointment on gregs face was hilarious when they all failed the task
Series 10 is like if Taskmaster actually went through with the Loser of Losers Special.
I still think about how Rhod would do with all these other people.
He and Vegas might be the best match ever for the show.
"Like "the cup runneth over." Or 'Kenneth'."
I love Alex.
watching someone bring in a dead wasp for a prize task, then the first question about it is "does anything eat wasps?" followed IMMEDIATELY by "badgers do!!" is like a fever dream
Taskmaster quoting King Lear just before my King Lear test?
That's gotta be a sign
Answer to question 1 is: in acting it is called reciting, not quoting.
The points are so close!!! It's anyone's game but Katherine's lol
This whole season has been chaotic but this episode is on a whole nother level
Wow! Richard did great memorizing all those lines!! 😮👏👏👏
Also loved the suppressed laughter from everyone as Greg gave them the stern look for failing of their 1st task 😂😂
Marwan should've gotten 4 points for his acting. He often gets the short end of the stick :(
Agreed! Couldn't believe he got only 2 pts!
There's always one male contestant who's treated unfairly. Maybe Greg feels threatened by them......?
@@dormousesays I believe it's part of the show. There's always that one contestant who gets "bullied" by the Taskmaster so to speak. It can be rather hilarious at times, but also frustrating in others.
mawaan has consistently won tasks and beaten out the others. how has he been treated unfairly "often" in any way?
I proper can’t believe he didn’t! He did great with the lines and his accents were pretty good. As an Aussie, he sounded like a Lebanese-Australian.
I don't know what it is about Katherine Parkinson, bc I don't think she's made me laugh out loud quite as much as some other past contestants have, but I think she is my favourite contestant so far lol 😂 she's just so amusing even if it's not in a laugh hysterically sort of way...
Taskmaster is the only thing that got me through 2020 - THANK YOU LITTLE ALEX HORN
The performance of Richard as every character was downright Lynchian.
"Who wants to be a Silly-on-Air" was so good. Even Greg laughed at his own joke, when he would've definitely bullied Alex if he tried to make the same one.
The opener of this episode makes Mike Wozniak’s “Facts about Animals” much more meaningful and prescient…
Chris Eubank playing king Lear👌
The cup-filling debacle made me laugh so hard when Greg just stood up and looked at them all like the most disappointed schoolteacher ever.
"No one just says wings!" Oh Greg. Please stay in that hemisphere and never have your beautiful innocence shattered.
Oh my god. 18:07 That's Taskmaster History! It will be in the books. He went full teacher! I will never forget it no matter what 18:24 says
Probably my favorite moments are Katherine confidently doing something that is clearly failing and yet giving a smug look.
Hands down my favourite episode of the entirety of series 10 thus far. I haven't laughed that hard in a while.
everyone applauding Richard Herring was the highlight of my 2020
