I don't think I've ever wished for something like that to end quicker then it ended up ending. Somehow 3 minutes was 2 minutes too long, and that's probably being generous. I'm really enjoying your Worst Match Ever series guys, keep up the amazing work! Also, I have a few suggestions for Worst Match Ever, if they've not been suggested already or aren't in the box already: Hulk Hogan vs. The Giant at Halloween Havok '95 (both the Monster Truck Sumo match and the actual match on the show itself, probably both together as one sitting). Hollywood Hulk Hogan vs. The Warrior at Halloween Havok '98 (the rematch nobody wanted). Any of the Punjabi Prison Matches. Goldberg vs. The Fiend Bray Wyatt at Super ShowDown 2020. Diesel vs. Mabel at Summerslam '95. Diesel vs. The British Bulldog at In Your House 4. Anything from WCW New Blood Rising 2000.
The only saving grace for this match was Crash Holly ending it. I agree with Pete as well, that did not feel like a 3 minute match. The ECW Chamber is gonna be rough.....can't wait! Another great episode. Makes my week, every week. Keep doing what y'all are doing!
Best series on UA-cam. I still think, as I’ve seen someone else say previously, that you need two separate lists though. One for how fun the match is to watch, and one for how objectively bad they are.
What's really gotten me about this series is that these matches have all been bad in wildly different ways. Two aging stars wrestling with head injuries and almost seriously injuring each other, two non-wrestlers in a singles match for some reason, a comedy match that isn't funny, blatant product placement, and coming up: a series of terrible booking decisions. Truly some Anna Karenina "every unhappy match is unhappy in its own way"-type vibes.
Always enjoy a Worst Match Ever episode! If you need another match to put in the box, RVD/Mr Anderson from TNA Turning Point 2011 is one I found out about recently, and boy I was gobsmacked by it. Immediately thought of this series when I saw it lol Edit: Got Turning Point mixed up with Victory Road, my bad
If you're looking for suggestions, what about Trish and Bradshaw vs Jackie Gayda and Christopher Nowinski? Raw, July 8th, 2002? I *think* Trish said that it was the worst match of her career; IIRC, Al Snow said in his book that Gayda should never have been sent out to wrestle so soon, she should have been a manager while she received more training, and that she was rushed.
Some potential suggestions for matches if they aren't already in the box: - Goldust vs. Ultimate Warrior (In Your House, 1996) - Randy Orton vs Big Show (Survivor Series 2013) -Trish Stratus and Bradshaw vs. Jackie Gayda and Chris Nowinski (Raw 2002) - Kennel From Hell Match - Eric Bischoff vs. Teddy Long (Survivor Series 2005) - Triple H vs. Scott Steiner (Royal Rumble 2003) - "Rosie O'Donnell" vs. "Donald Trump" (Raw 2007) - Kaitlyn vs. Maxine (NXT 2010) - Sting vs Jeff Hardy (Victory Road 2011) - The Brothers of Destruction vs. KroniK (Unforgiven 2001) - Booker T vs. Buff Bagwell (Raw 2001) - Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg (Wrestlemania 20) - Mr. T vs Roddy Piper (Wrestlmania 2) - Bret Hart vs Vince McMahon (Wrestlemania 26) - Hulk Hogan vs. Warrior (Halloween Havoc 1998) - Jerry Lawler vs Michael Cole (Wrestlemania 27) - DX vs Brothers of Destruction (Crown Jewel 2018) - Basically every match from Heroes of Wrestling - Intercontinental Chamber 2015 - Brock Lesnar vs Cain Velasquez (Crown Jewel 2019) - Seth Rollins vs The Fiend (Hell in a Cell 2019) - Roman Reigns Wrestlmania Main Events 32, 33, and 34
I love the background music. Its sets the mood for the certain activity i take place in all day. Im still confused about the ranking, so the bottom is the best worst match and the top is the worst worst match?
Absolutely love this show Luke! Brilliant idea to do it and I’ve laughed during every episode! Props to you sir 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Pete and Tempest help make it good too 👍🏻 LIW 4 LIFE ❤️
Tune in 10 minutes earlier to witness the forty-fifth President of the United States of America talking to Jerry “the king of Memphis wrestling” Lawler.
If you haven't got it already, you should do the "Chamber of Horrors" match from Halloween Havoc 1991. Sting, Steiner Brothers, and El Gigante vs. Cactus Jack, Abdullah the Butcher, The Diamond Stud, & Big Van Vader.
Oh hell yeah!! So hyped for next week! I'm sure it was in the box from the start but I know I recommended the extreme chamber match at some point and I cannot wait! It is a guilty pleasure match for me and I'm so hyped
Just thought of these matches that HAVE to be added: - Miss Hancock vs. Major Gunns in the Mud Rip Off the Clothes match from New Blood Rising (2000) - Buff Bagwell vs. Kanyon in a Judy Bagwell on a Forklift match from New Blood Rising (2000) - Buff Bagwell vs. Booker T (c) for the WCW Championship from Monday Night Raw (July 2, 2001) - Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg from WrestleMania 20
I witnessed this match live and in person. I can't believe it's been 24 years. Me and my buddies all made homemade Kurt Angle T-shirts for the PPV because there weren't any out yet.
An argument for it to be worse than taker Goldberg is they didn’t even try from the start of booking for it to be good. Before it’s on paper it’s a bad idea. Didn’t start with any hope at all and still managed to deliver even worse. Going downhill, but starting at the bottom of the hill with some mining tool.
Is the IC Title Chamber match in the box yet? Also, if there are shorter matches, or just matches you think would go well together like they have so far, (Saudi + Zombie = bad idea matches, VR 09 + KR 2000 = dress matches) would match sets work for a video? Would make a decent podcast length video, plus would fill out the leaderboard a bit quicker.
This is the point where I am going “Oh god I actually have to watch these matches”. First time I have seen this match and gonna be the first time I have watched the Hardcore Chamber match
Several episodes in and I still have no idea what the criteria for that leaderboard is. They really need to have two, one for actual quality, one for how fun the matches are to watch.
My pitch for the box is WarGames 2000: Russos's Revenge, the main event from the 4th September 2000 episode of WCW Monday Nitro. The final Wargames match in WCW, that is held in the triple-decker Ready to Rumble cage match. There are teams for some reason even though the match is for the WCW World Heavyweight title, so only one man can win. It is an incomprehensible mess!
Can i ask: with the ECW Chamber next, could the Intercontinental Chamber Match also be in the Box for Options? ;) I would love to see you guys laugh your a**es off when Ziggler shouts commands to everyone xD
Ooh, just thought of a really bad match: can’t remember when it was, but Miss Hancock vs Major Gunns, ending in a miscarriage scare in a mud put? Sorry, I need to go and bleach my brain…
I've not got many suggestions for the cavalcade of crapness but I've got some stormers that admittedly are probably already there DX vs Brothers of Destruction - Crown Jewel Taker vs Taker Tuwaiq Trophy Gauntlet Intercontinental Chamber
I hope it's in the box, It's Jeff Hardy vs Sting from Victory Road. It was so uncomfortable to watch, Jeff was gone when he was making his way to the ring. I hope it's in the box. I think that is worse than Miz vs Priest.
Bushwhackers ve Sheik & Volkoff. The worst rated match by both Dave Meltzer (Absolute Zero stars, i.e. - 459.67 stars) and Bryan Alvarez (- all the stars in the universe, and the universe is infinite)
I do think this format suffers from not knowing if they are looking for the worst match, or the best worst match. But nothing that couldn't be workshopped.
I would like to humbly request the Doomsday Cage match from WCW Uncensored 1996. Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage vs. 8 men (two of whom aren't wrestlers!) in a triple-layer cage. It's somehow boring and chaotic at the same time.
It’s not the worst chamber match I’ve seen. Whilst yes it’s bad , it did have some good moments. The worst chamber match is reserved for the IC one in 2015.
For this series to work there needs to be discussion around matches and that's fine. But I think we need to be clear about what the Goldberg-Taker line is. Goldberg-Taker is legitimate risk of death/permanent brain injury. Anything that goes above that line we're saying "one of the competitors dying and/or being horrifically injured for the rest of their lives would have been a better outcome." Which is to say, I agree 100% with the list so far.
Petitioning for another TNA match: Shelly Martinez v Rebel from TNA's One Night Only: Knockouts Knockdown 4 It’s so bad it’s good hopefully it gets added to the box
Funny in that the match for next week is possibly the 2nd best match on the show, and that goes to show how bad that PPV is overall. I think the match before it is worse though but this is more infamous of course. I look forward to when HIAC 2019 Seth vs Fiend pops up because I have never watched that match and thus saving it when the time comes.
I enjoyed the match and according to Bruce Prichard, it was supposed to be Lita and Trish Status, but Vince 💡 to Pat and Gerry. Bruce also talks about how Gerry was mad and Pat was all in. The promo to it was hilarious. Poor Howard Finkel, he gets kissed amd you can tell he was not expecting the kiss.
It puts things in perspective that during WWE's creative peak, the time that (uncritical) fanbois still want to come back and look upon with incredible reverence, and STILL compare modern product unfavorably to had crap like this. And 'Mania 15 and 2000. And some of the most appallingly awful writing on weekly shows ever. Wrestling is NEVER "perfect," no matter how many Best Of or revisionist looks back companies try to spoon feed fans.
I’ll throw a couple of out there that deserve more looking into for bad matches, Hogan vs Piper from Halloween Havoc 97 & the Lex Luger vs Buff Bagwell from Starcade 97
So the first WWF Intercontinental Champion and one of the best tag team wrestlers of the 1970s are having a catfight, while wearing dresses. "Who let Vince book comedy?" Vince did.
4:40 Pete: "I feel like this will be the quietest episode"
I've got King Of The Hill vibes from everyone saying "hmm, yep, mhmm"
Nothing says greatness, than 2 legends of the business wrestling in a strip match for a lower midcard title.
Not even a lower Midcard title. It's just a jobber belt
I don't think I've ever wished for something like that to end quicker then it ended up ending. Somehow 3 minutes was 2 minutes too long, and that's probably being generous. I'm really enjoying your Worst Match Ever series guys, keep up the amazing work!
Also, I have a few suggestions for Worst Match Ever, if they've not been suggested already or aren't in the box already:

All great shouts

Best series on UA-cam.
I still think, as I’ve seen someone else say previously, that you need two separate lists though. One for how fun the match is to watch, and one for how objectively bad they are.
How dare you insult Survival Series like that
What's really gotten me about this series is that these matches have all been bad in wildly different ways.
Okay that "honestly" after Pete says "who throws a shoe" was so perfect. You guys are great
Absolutely brilliant! How about adding the Doomsday Cage Match?
As the old adage goes, cheering a wrestler is good, booing a wrestler is good, but the real kiss of death is silence, as the boys here demonstrated.
I busted out laughing at the next match reveal. "Oh you think THIS match felt too long at 3 minutes, did you?"
I love this series. Great content, congrats lads!
Gerald Brisco is the same age in this match as Triple H is now.
HHH vs Batista was nearly as offensive as this.
@@rishisaaptacha WrestleMania 21 bad or WrestleMania 35 bad?
Still the best thing in wrestling currently on youtube. Keep it up!
I mean if we’re doing chambers… the IC Chamber in 2015.
Van Hammer vs. Doug Sommers from Halloween Havoc 1991 is one of the worst squash matches ever.
Amazing episode! Love the long uncomfortable silent shots. Instantly recognized as Vince booking.
Always enjoy a Worst Match Ever episode! If you need another match to put in the box, RVD/Mr Anderson from TNA Turning Point 2011 is one I found out about recently, and boy I was gobsmacked by it. Immediately thought of this series when I saw it lol
Edit: Got Turning Point mixed up with Victory Road, my bad
"For some reason, Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco compete in a bizarre Hardcore Evening Gown Match at King of the Ring 2000." - WWE(YT)
16 minute video.
3 minute match.
Quality Wrestling Content!
Love this series.
Van Hammer vs Doug Somers-Halloween Havoc 1991 you’ve got to do that.
Some potential suggestions for matches if they aren't already in the box:
- Goldust vs. Ultimate Warrior (In Your House, 1996)
- Randy Orton vs Big Show (Survivor Series 2013)
-Trish Stratus and Bradshaw vs. Jackie Gayda and Chris Nowinski (Raw 2002)
- Kennel From Hell Match
- Eric Bischoff vs. Teddy Long (Survivor Series 2005)
- Triple H vs. Scott Steiner (Royal Rumble 2003)
- "Rosie O'Donnell" vs. "Donald Trump" (Raw 2007)
- Kaitlyn vs. Maxine (NXT 2010)
- Sting vs Jeff Hardy (Victory Road 2011)
- The Brothers of Destruction vs. KroniK (Unforgiven 2001)
- Booker T vs. Buff Bagwell (Raw 2001)
- Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg (Wrestlemania 20)
- Mr. T vs Roddy Piper (Wrestlmania 2)
- Bret Hart vs Vince McMahon (Wrestlemania 26)
- Hulk Hogan vs. Warrior (Halloween Havoc 1998)
- Jerry Lawler vs Michael Cole (Wrestlemania 27)
- DX vs Brothers of Destruction (Crown Jewel 2018)
- Basically every match from Heroes of Wrestling
- Intercontinental Chamber 2015
- Brock Lesnar vs Cain Velasquez (Crown Jewel 2019)
- Seth Rollins vs The Fiend (Hell in a Cell 2019)
- Roman Reigns Wrestlmania Main Events 32, 33, and 34
They'd probably need to go through a whole Livestream for Heroes of Wrestling. 😅
My complaint of this list is the lack of WCW, otherwise every match here would be a good choice.
@@calumbishop7082 I imagine there's a few WCW matches in the box. I can imagine one of them will be that age in the cage or the '97 Starrcade match.
Oh boy the ECW Chamber...the 1st ever Chamber match i watched on UA-cam in 2010 in 240p
Since you guys brought it up, Shelly Martinez vs. Rebel, TNA Knockouts Knockdown 2016 on Impact Plus
I love the background music. Its sets the mood for the certain activity i take place in all day. Im still confused about the ranking, so the bottom is the best worst match and the top is the worst worst match?
Absolutely love this show Luke! Brilliant idea to do it and I’ve laughed during every episode! Props to you sir 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Pete and Tempest help make it good too 👍🏻 LIW 4 LIFE ❤️
Fantastic! Now I can make my recommendation: _Eugene vs Triple H, RAW. Couldn't tell you the date, but _*_you know the match!_*
As an April fools joke in this series you guys should do omega vs osprey
Pete has the look he working out who the real killer is in the room haha
The commentary of JR and Lawler laughing throughout the match makes it 10 times worse. HORRIBLE!
Oh hell yeah!! So hyped for next week! I'm sure it was in the box from the start but I know I recommended the extreme chamber match at some point and I cannot wait! It is a guilty pleasure match for me and I'm so hyped
Love these!!!!
As good as the attitude era was, people let nostalgia shield themselves from garbage like this
Just thought of these matches that HAVE to be added:
- Miss Hancock vs. Major Gunns in the Mud Rip Off the Clothes match from New Blood Rising (2000)
- Buff Bagwell vs. Kanyon in a Judy Bagwell on a Forklift match from New Blood Rising (2000)
- Buff Bagwell vs. Booker T (c) for the WCW Championship from Monday Night Raw (July 2, 2001)
- Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg from WrestleMania 20
New Blood Rising was just an awful PPV, wasn't it?
I witnessed this match live and in person. I can't believe it's been 24 years. Me and my buddies all made homemade Kurt Angle T-shirts for the PPV because there weren't any out yet.
I think they are figuring out their parameters. I'm still loving this
An argument for it to be worse than taker Goldberg is they didn’t even try from the start of booking for it to be good. Before it’s on paper it’s a bad idea. Didn’t start with any hope at all and still managed to deliver even worse. Going downhill, but starting at the bottom of the hill with some mining tool.
These two were great wrestlers in their prime.
This was embarrassing.
Layla throwing the shoe might be a callback to Miss Elizabeth doing it to Hogan way back in the day.
If you guys haven’t got Shiek and Volkoff vs the Bushwhackers from heroes of wrestling in there ya’ll gotta get that in there.
Wait wait wait. When has this been a thing? Do you guys have a discord server I can sub for notifs of when things like this happen?
This is top notch stuff fellas
Oh god December to Dismember next... good luck, lads.

Love this series. Is Hardy vs Sting at Victory Road in this? Or is it not included due to the context of it?
I just turned 7 when I saw this it came out on VHS a few months after it aired and I laughed so much everytime I watched it
This is the point where I am going “Oh god I actually have to watch these matches”. First time I have seen this match and gonna be the first time I have watched the Hardcore Chamber match
Several episodes in and I still have no idea what the criteria for that leaderboard is.
They really need to have two, one for actual quality, one for how fun the matches are to watch.
Big Show vs Brock Lesnar Royal Rumble 2014 was pretty bad haha. I cant wait for next week lol. The match that got Heyman fired.
I really hope that Vince vs Pat McAffe is on here. Not to diminish what Pat has done, but to just spite Vince and to dunk on him :)
Don't know why this match hasn't come to mind before, maybe because I purged it from my memory, but Triple H vs. Scott Steiner Royal Rumble 03
"Hollywood Hulk Hogan vs The Ultimate Warrior" from WCW HALLOWEEN HAVOC 1998
Heist of the previous century.
I unpaused the video at 1:40 and having lost all context of what they were saying before, thought Luke said "What a silly bollocks"

Giant Gonzalez vs undertaker at WrestleMania 9. Maybe just WrestleMania 9 in general
Here's an old school bad match recommendation. Kerry Von Erich vs. Jerry "The King" Lawler from Super Clash III.
Thanks for suffering through that guys - Got a match for you Stevie Richards vs Tyson Tomko from Unforgiven 2004
I watched the match before watching your reaction, this was my first time watching.
At least Crash won the title, but what did it cost ? My sanity
Mr. T vs Piper at Wrestlemania 2. The boxing match
The cat vs Terri Wrestlemania 2000
Bray vs Orton WM 33 AND Payback
Thanks for the laughs.

I would love to see you guys laugh your a**es off when Ziggler shouts commands to everyone xD
You guys could've pulled a double feature and added in the finger poke of doom to this video.(technically a match)
The saddest part is that Vince and Russo (mostly Vince) is backstage laughing his ass off watching the match
Ooh, just thought of a really bad match: can’t remember when it was, but Miss Hancock vs Major Gunns, ending in a miscarriage scare in a mud put? Sorry, I need to go and bleach my brain…

"Who throws a shoe?" Well..the middle east does.
I do think this format suffers from not knowing if they are looking for the worst match, or the best worst match.

A bad match I'd like to see added is Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 34. They did literally everything wrong in that match.

"Been thinking about this since we last recorded" soo Earley that day, didn't u say you recorded a bunch on these on one day
This was the first PPV I saw as a kid. I thought the show was great at the time because I'd never really seen much wrestling to that point.
It puts things in perspective that during WWE's creative peak, the time that (uncritical) fanbois still want to come back and look upon with incredible reverence, and STILL compare modern product unfavorably to had crap like this. Wrestling is NEVER "perfect," no matter how many Best Of or revisionist looks back companies try to spoon feed fans.
You know how "a broken clock is right twice a day"? This match is the proof that a perfectly functioning clock is wrong twice a year.
This gets the title for worst worst match because there was nothing fun about it. The only thing going for it is that it’s short
Would Hulk vs. Sid at Wrestlemania VIII qualify for this show, given how it was a main event that ended in a DQ?
