Pretty good tutorial. A note I have is that this can work easily on DaVinci Resolve too by using slides that ease in and out, slight zooms, and fusion effects on the pngs. (You can make the text transparent using Photoshop or Photopea if you're broke like me)

So what you‘re doing is creating every asset in its own after effects composition, then merging it and putting it into the after effects project that you created from premiere pro, right? Then how do you sync audio and animation. When you‘re highlighting a text, it should sync perfectly with what is being said. But how do you make sure the animation takes the right amount of time in its sub-composition and how do you sync it in the overall composition?
What I always do is record audio first and then cut it down in premiere pro and line it up. Line up all your assets in premiere pro and then you can split audio into layers and then replace (video layers and audio layer) with after effects composition. This will bring the audio into AE which you can line up as you playback (in AE sometimes audio causes slow playback so temporarily change comp setting to 15fps, then change it back after finishing the AE edit. I find this work around a lot faster than having to timestamp everything

I'm not sure about their personal training but there are plenty of online courses. I assume they taught themselves a lot of it. Moon most likely has a team of editors
You can but it'll be a low res quality. The reason you draw it is to create high resolution vector shapes that don't lose quality when you scale them etc

For a style like Moon's it would easily take 1 person several days even a week for editing alone (not research and script). Moon has a team of editors which is why he can get it done faster

For the graph, couldn't you have simply keyed out the white background in Photoshop so you don't have to draw it out by hand?

Depends on how comfortable you are with camera and camera settings. It's very tricky, give it a go otherwise add scaling

Unfortunately 3D animation is really tricky, you could try 2D animating scale/positions. Would be easier but takes longer
