For a two dollar chisel that works great thanks T that was quite enjoyable to watch
Thanks Bradley. I appreciate your loyalty and comments!
good job dude, I learned a lot from your expert fantastico demonstration .... ehehehe OORAH!!
Thanks man!!!
You are fascinating always. Old school in a new school era. It's awesome.
Thank you Kiki’s dad!
While this is fascinating, what you have made is a grooving plane, or a plough plane. Great for cutting a through dado or a square groove, and even a rabbet.
A shoulder plane must be flat on the cheeks (even with the edge of the blade/chisel). That's because it is used to trim shoulders of tenons. Your last demo shows you trimming the cheek of the tenon (the end grain), not the shoulder. A router plane is a much better tool for trimming cheeks.
Again, really nice work! Just thought I'd mention the difference in terminology.
Hey man thanks for the clarification! Great to learn the correct terms.
Brother you are an absolute genius! Love the content!
Whoa! Thanks again man
Oh so you mean to tell me i have to go out and buy a whole blacksmithing anvil in order to remove the plastic handle from my $2 chisel in order to make a plane out of scrap wood???
Won't speak for anyone else but that sounds like an excellent reason to go get an anvil to me.
Hahahaha! I try using any excuse. Thanks for watching Zach!
Not bad for 2 bucks and some elbow grease.
You got it man, thanks 9ball!
Love this channel
Thank you Shonky!
Very cool! It looks as old as you, (well aged).
Thanks Thomas!!
Good job
Hey Will , thanks!!
Pretty cool!!!
Thanks Danny!
Great idea sir. But yeah, lets get to work!
Got to go cut some firewood for this upcoming cool weather.
What saw are you using? I use a Stihl 271 and still use a Stihl 16” for small stuff. Thanks for watching Miner!

I've got an older Craftsman 42cc/w an 18 inch bar. It was a gift from one of my daughters. It works pretty good still.

Gonna have to make some kindling. I've been using a double bladed ax stuck on a short stump and a hatchet as a hammer. It works ok.
