i got the 2018 ATLAS V6 W/ 4 Motion. I noticed its a bit sluggish and slow. Then test drove a 2021 Atlas 2.0 4 motion, which surprisingly felt more quicker.
My 19 fwd 2.0 will bark the tires if I give it to much off the line. The torque comes in at a low rpm compared to the NA V6 and makes it feel lively for what it is. Front drive is around #200 less and 4cyl vs 6 is another #200 or so. So I'm around #400 less then the average 6 that most have with All wheel. I've driven an all wheel drive 6 and it feels sluggish unless your into the rpms. Not the vehicle for rodding around but it's respectable for what it is ( heck it's a detuned GTI motor) and I average 27mpg's and have hit 30/31 on long trips. I've had 5 adults and lots of luggage on long trips and no one is crowded. (It'll hold 7) I've towed #2500 with it and it did fine.
That was really helpful. Now I know exactly how fast it in all circumstances. 2000' elevation, Sport mode and best of all, "I think we are going up hill." Priceless information. The view out the front window while accelerating was great too,
I have the 2020 atlas cross sport 2.0tsi with 4motion and after 1500 miles on regular 87 octane my best 0 to 60 mph is 7.5sec down in TX elevation about 530ft. they say with 93 octane more HP didnt try that yet.
@@josephstalin6913 The Atlas is basically a GTI 2.0 tSI engine put into a heavier vehicle. The Tiguan is comparatively slower because of cleaner burning B cycle engine, the Atlas is still a Otto cycle engine however.
Dont want to hear a few specs? Skip to 2:40 To Get To The Action
But you didnt give us the figures for the 0-60 times! wasnt that the purpose of this video?
Do you need a stop watch to see how fast it is accelerating?
@@davidlorensen5403 well if the title says 0-60 i would expect it to contain the times. oh i get it, its supposed to be interactive!

Was there any instrumentation to measure the time?
Has anyone swapped a is38 turbo into the Atlas yet?
I would imagine the lag on a large heavy vehicle like this horrible with a IS38.

try it. it likes a 93th
Is it faster than the Tiguan?
Same engine just a lil heavier so yeah
@@josephstalin6913 it's not the same engine..the Tiguan is a Budak Cycle engine. The engine in the Atlas is tuned higher and is not B Cycle.

@vw world Should I go with a 2021 Atlas v6 or the v4? Looking at both
I Would Say It Mainly Comes Down To If You Plan To Tow At All. 2.0T Is Rated at 2000 Pounds Towing Where The 3.6 V6 Is At 5000.
Slow as fuck
its a suv what did you expect lol
