Time to change the Injector Pump Oil.

Well done mate. That was the best video I have seen to directly answer my questions. I ran out of fuel, filled up, primed, swore, tried more, swore worse, googled X 72. Now I know to change the oil, how, and with what type. I am gonna watch everything you have. Thanks.

Hey John. That dangly think you mention at 11:15 is where the oil comes out when you fill er up. It's got a rubber sleeve that you pull off. Just figured that out accidently on mine as I'm changing the oil too thanks to your video. Cheers mate.

@@johnp1388 I watched your video again last night to figure out a few things as I was busy replacing the pump oil and realised only then that you mentioned what it was at the end of your video (I missed that when I first watched it). The old oil that came out of mine was not like engine oil at all. Some blog posts mention compressor oil, it might have been that. It seemed very "runny" compared to the engine oil I put in (15W40) Your videos have been a great help. Thanks for posting them. The next thing for me to tackle is the front axle seal. Your video on that's going to be a lifesaver. (I'm not looking forward to that at all!!) My tractor is very similar to yours but as I understand it's been modified and customised hundreds of different times for global markets. Mines was an English import rebranded to Shire Tractors. I'm in Ireland.

I have the DF254 and it’s been stalling like it’s out of fuel. After cleaning the strainer and ensuring all the lines were clear, I noticed the injector “crankcase” was overfull, mostly with fuel. Obviously somehow fuel is getting in to it, I assume past a seal or o-ring. I wonder if there’s a “commonly fails” component I should be checking?

Hello. I have not come across that problem, nor have I read about it. I agree with you, there is an area where fuel is getting passed. Does your tractor have the KM385BT Engine?

I honestly don’t know what engine it has… there is an emissions placard on the head that says:
Engine Family: CSHLL 1.53 LDE (or maybe LDF)
And there’s a casting on the block behind the starter that (I believe) says: AOA0152
Do either of those seem like they could be an engine model? If not, where is yours found?
Also, it was made in 2012 and is supposedly 25 horsepower. The above mentioned emissions placard says 18.4 kW, which I believe is pretty close.
I also have a dealer contact here in the US, but he can be very slow to respond if he doesn’t think I’ll be buying a new tractor :)
