We've gone from fairly warm days (high 20's to low 30's) to miserable rainy cold days in Sydney. Glad for the rain but it's meant to be spring 🙃 Also this vlog made me super hungry lol
Between London and Turin (Northern Italy), safe to say we have reached a stable 10 (celsius) degrees or less in both locations 😂✌🏻 good thing I was missing my winter hats lol
Just moved to Las Vegas and am missing fall. Your videos are giving me life while everything is still warm. I love this cozy corner of the internet. ❤
Fall has taken over all the way, there was no ice cream to be had anywhere ...the other day on our walk my son really wanted chocolate ice cream!!! But all the ice-cream stations in the cafés were closed for the winter😅. We live south west end of Berlin Germany, but we were walking in a park in Potsdam. That's just a stone's throw away/ hardly apart from Berlin at all, yet immediately a lot more rural and provincial.
In Arizona it's still getting into the 90's F semi regularly, though a little cooler at night (like 60°). I'm so jealous of all you folks out there with a little chill in the air!

Fun things happen when you don’t wear headphones. Its like the universe knows you’re receptive. I had a cute conversation in French this morning because I heard a parent switch to French while next to me at an outdoor vegetable stand I paused at on my walk (I’m not in France but it’s my target language)

About the no headphone talk - I couldn’t agree more!! Sometimes I feel like instead of letting my thoughts run wild, I overstimulate myself by listening to music. because at the end of the day, that is what music does to us, and if there is already a lot going on your mind - it can be a bit too much without us even realising. just hearing the sounds of nature, calms you more than any music could.

Loved the little clips at 9:05 and 10:15 - Seoul looks so safe at night time! 9:05 also sort of reminded me of Pondicherry, India which I visited very recently. When it comes to the exchange rate, I do the same thing. I just move the comas and make them decimals points. I do the same for the Japanese Yen. I do have an app on my phone that can help me with the real rate, but it's just easier to just move the coma 2-3 places (depending on if Japan or Korea).

Totally agree with "no headphone walking" When we ride our trainingsrounds alone, we mostly don't listen to anything anymore. There was a time, I listened to Podcasts, Audiobooks and so on while working, training and my head was always blasted with informations, I couldn't follow the Storys of the books anymore. And specially when it's nice outside, we rather be in the moment. That's why we suck at filming as well 😂😂😂😂

Hey Cari!! Getting nervous about flying to London and was wondering if you have any tips or can let me know how your experiences flying on long flights has been!! Never flown over seas so I'm like overpreparing and constantly overthinking at night lmao. Thank you for all your awesome videos!!

but also just make sure you have your passport, any visa stuff, and then an idea of how you're getting from the airport to your next deatination (hotel, etc). London is a huge international airport so you can always find help if you need it. If you're taking the tube into london it got confusing because of the elizabeth line so make sure you're following signs to the Underground not ALL TRAINS. hahah have a wonderful trip!!!
and as for the long flights, i find that my nerves go away after the first few hours and you get meals so you'll be distracted hahah try to sleep a little!!

Great video as usual Cari! I'm heading to Seoul in five days, and I've been thinking about what to wear. I'm from a place where summer temperatures can reach as high as 42°C, so I'm not sure if I'll cope with the weather there. However, most sources say that the locals still dress lightly? I'd really appreciate some advice on what to wear! :)
Definitely bring sweaters and a jacket - the temperature will drop this weekend. Closer to 12 degrees 🥶

If you haven't check out a book called The Creative Act: A Way Of Being by Rick Rubin, I've found his views on simple stuff like going for walks in silence and being present/observing/listening for ideas as they come and go to be very useful. Didn't realize how much content/apps were sucking away my ability to just be bored and let stuff come to me naturally again.
Ugh yes! Some of my best ideas came from being bored and staring into space and i feel like i dont do that anymore hahaha

It's so interesting to learn about prices for every day things like food and transport around the world. I was shocked when I did a full weeks shop for my husband and I and it cost over AUD$300! I eat 99% of my meals at home including coffee which I make using a Bialetti coffee pot and Bialetti manual milk frother. My husband buys two coffees a day at work which is around AUD$50 a week. We have very little public transport here so it's all driving for us. Petrol here is AUD$1.80-$2 a litre. Our cars cost around AUD$500 a year each to service. I'm trying to make more things from scratch at home so bread which is AUD$5-$7 a loaf is $2.50 a loaf made from a quality bread mix at home. I made shortbread for AUD$0.67 per 100g. I find it very interesting to learn how much it costs others to live. We are in a semi-rural 'city' of around 20k people. We are fairly remote.
Wow that is 33$ USD for your husband's two coffees? That's too much 😮 aren't even large Starbucks orders like 6$ a piece? I haven't been out in a while... First pandemic then inflation - so I genuinely don't remember 😅
