Welcome back to Lightning Springs Ranch. Today we are taking out our 3 year old blue roan colt to help take salt out to the cows on the mountain. Its always an adventure when you are working with young horses.
Looks like a keeper doing it right slow and easy a lot of calm work he will ease all the wau to cutting cattle all in a days work as he is ready

Great video. Wondering when you took this video because there's no snow and you guys aren't wearing coats. Recently, the whole country is freezing and that's not apparent in your video. As for prepping your 3 year old, smart move packing him . When he got loose, you eased up to him instead of chasing him! Great example of good horsemanship!
This was filmed back in September. I just haven’t had time to edited it till now. Thank you so much! We like to pack them a few times before we get on them. It helps them get used to carrying weight through hills and rocks.
