Awesome! I thought I missed the final build and stumbled on it by a happy accident! 🤣 I enjoy your videos and picked up some good ideas for some of my set up in my 2.3 M size Hawk! I like the gear door trick with the servos to hold the doors closed. I did notice when I flew mine that I could see the doors hanging bit. Anyway thanks again! Looking forward to the next build. 😀 Steven
Two weeks between finishing and video release. No i know why the snow is missing. Good job on the build. Great to see where corrections were required and made.
awesome looking aircraft when finished, cant wait to see it fly. My Dad always told me of a story were they were pressure testing the tanks that hold the stuff for the smoke. they put a rubber glove on the end and pressurized it up but went too much and fired the glove across the Hangar and sprayed the place in the liquid. took them ages to clean it all up. think it was red as well so made a good mess.
Hey! I’m new to your channel. I was a prop plane rc builder and flyer, haven’t done it for last number of years, but watching you do this kinda gets me interested again. Keep it up!
I love it so Much. On a side note do you ever think of adding an Fpv camera in a cockpit with a pan tilt mechanisome. You could get some amazing views with such butiful jets
Hello Noah. Yea thought has crossed my mind many times. I don't know enough about the FPV Stuff to make it easy. I did a video a couple years ago with my gopro in my jet. I flipped the view back and forth during the video. Even that was a fun effect!
Thanks. Sorry I don't have the numbers from the scale. Our batteries were mounted in main landing gear compartment just in front of wing tube. ended up adding a small amount of weight in the tail of the aircraft.
Beautiful model and excellent build as always. I have the smaller Global Jet BAE Hawk - no where near the same level of scale and quality but looking forward to flying it soon.
Hi Jon, congratulations for this amazing build 👍👍. What is the weight of the cat ? May be could you make the finest adjustment of the CG by placing the cat in place of one of the two pilots, he looks like interested😂😂.
With the 5L tank I think 6 min is reasonable. It will depend on throttle control but with a 300 engine you won't need to be high on the throttle very often.
Is that the same random motion generator board that “RC Geek” designed a couple of years back? Beautiful Hawk btw, absolutely perfect. 😊 I don’t understand why you’ve incorporated nose AND tail weight..🧐
Exactly! That's where it comes from. No weight isn't much. It's 2-3 oz. It's more of a safety thing for the first flight. It will end up coming out after the first flight and more may be added to the rear.
Well it,s the details that take the time. Nice job looks great. Ya would think for the cost of the aircraft they would have a top notch manual. I mean an expert builder like yourself how to get round something but not always must be slightly frustrating. Love the Pilots what a hoot. Right NEXT.......be well keep at it and Carry on. From our side of the world NZ to yours Merry Christmas 😁😎
That is one gorgeous aircraft, as usual. If I remember correctly, in one of the earlier Hawk videos you said that you have an F-4 Phantom build coming up. I was wondering if there was an additive you could put in the jet fuel (that won't destroy the engine of course) that would make them smoke somewhat. As anyone who has seen a real F-4 in flight knows, when the pilot hits the throttle those engines throw a LOT of coal! If there isn't such an additive, I'm sure the smoke system could be tied to the throttle position.
Thanks! Yea the F4 Builds will be coming up in January. you could run diesel and it smokes a bit. Wouldn't be noticeable during flight so I think the best way for effect would be a smoke system on a very low setting.
Awesome as always 😁👌👍 But one question what you mentioned at the very end of the video regarding the flaps and Elevator: is this only for the hawk or also other jets? Thx BR
Thanks Christian. It's a feature of the hawk, full scale or model. That's one of the scale things that carries over from the full size. Most aircraft don't have this issue.
Hello if I buy that model of plane you can build it like that model with the same movements of the pilots and the windows can you tell me what model it is.
After Watching the Whole Video,I would have To disagree with those Two Viewers. Why There is NO Manual or Good Photos. No One is Wrong on building this Awesome Jet. Jonathan I like your Elevator Control more. To Be the Rear Fins will not affect the Performance of the Jet. I would Grade SKYMASTER Piss poor on making a Manual. Jonathan you Still #1 in my Book because you care on your Work. To SKYMASTER you need to Take $300 to $400 because No Manual. Sorry. 👍🏻 To you Canadian

The usa must be a lot better for affordability on big turbine jets.. Over here in the UK that kind of setup would probably set you back about £1500 to £2000
That’s a beautiful looking model, being the red arrows hawk that is exactly what she would look like, immaculate. 👌👌
Thanks Very much Anthony.
Most of the adjectives have been used I think, so I'm going with 'Spectacular' Jon.👍😉
HAHA. Thanks very much!
Sweet! Glad the elevator covers worked out!

Thanks Andre!
Got all white here too! Just below Montreal- Build time!! Great videos
Thanks!
Great job!!! In my younger day I built sails canvas and rigging. Now I am happy making pancakes and eggs.
That is awesome!😂
I like how clean you do the electrical. Everything squared up wires perfect length even though nobody can see it.

This plane is soo beautiful. This is by far my favourite livery for this model. Really nice.👍
Thanks a lot!
Congratulations, I dont need to tell you what a stunning job you've done but I just did anyway.
HAHA. Thanks very much!
Nothing better than watching you build especially from Northern Wisconsin being 9 degrees outside. Well done as usual.
Thank you very much! I feel your pain. It was -41.8F here yesterday with the wind chill included. Brutal!

So nice..great build. I really like the Hawk. Looks like it flies and lands relatively slowly compared to most. Lots of good Canadian liveries too

As allways fantastic build. I enjoy your builds so much, as I can only dream of building an owning one. 👍

Awesome plane and again beautiful, clean build Jon👍👍👍…the color must give a brilliant appearance in the air😎 Cheers from Munich, Sven

Nice build. I built one and I have the xicoy c.g. Balancer. Can you post the setting you inputted to get the C.G

what is the flap setting so the elevator does not blank out? for landing?
Not very much. 25 deg ish.

@@thelightersideofrc you’re welcome! You deserve our respect 🫡👍🏻
have you seen the Cri Cri? its similiar sized, to cricri airplane, that fits one person inside...
Yea I have seen a few videos on it. Very cool stuff!
The keepers you talk about, What are they exactly
Various ones listed on my site. For wires and tubing.
What kind of flight time would you expect for this model?
With the 5L tank I think 6 min is reasonable. It will depend on throttle control but with a 300 engine you won't need to be high on the throttle very often.
something new to me you mentioned in this video. Glued in connectors, I'm running a Spektrum RX , do you recommend gluing in the wire connectors?
I do it on every aircraft! Always! Goop is the best. Easy to get off if needed but enough hold to keep the connectors in place.

What we the final all up weight dry?
I believe it was about 66 lbs. UAT full
@@thelightersideofrc thanks. Just need to find $20k lying around not doing anything...😆
Nice job Jonathan! Just a little heads up, the pito tube is too close to the nose. It will not show an accurate value.
Thanks Daniel. Understood.
I wouldn't leave those main doors open with the gear down, especially at a grass field.
Fortunately both options can be programmed very easy so a simple change in the sequencer.
