- Living in the Charlotte area, Myrtle Beach is the closest beach. It's about a 4 hour drive. But it's about an hour and a half in Maggie.
I've been to the beach countless times since we moved here. But not like this.

What do you think of these "fly with me" videos? I find them relaxing. The last one someone in the comments asked me to include the ATC radio, so I did that on this one. Better, worse, no difference?
They’re a nice change every once in a while just to see your landscapes you fly over
@@joshsaviationadventures ok cool. Mountains will be next. One of the nice things about living in the Carolinas is that I'm close to both mountains and the ocean.
Definitely gonna be one of my first trips with my wife.
@@joshsaviationadventures I look forward to seeing that video!
Can you turn down the engine noise just a bit?
I like the music with the scenery. Nice choice of scenic music.
Amazing scenery! Really like the labels too that is cool
Yes very beautiful views. And thanks. I liked the way those turned out.
Nice route. Beautiful stretch of coastline. Just flew it a week ago from Fayetteville. Thanks.
Thanks.
I've been to MYR Beach via car 10 yrs. ago. Vacayed @ tha North end. Not South end where the boardwalk is. #salute!!!!
My wife's parents used to live down there. We've been there a *LOT*. Although this is the first time I've seen it like this.
Really nice videos. My wife and I bought a condo in Kingston plantation in Myrtle and I’m about to start my PPL. This is our dream to fly to North Myrtle and back to Pittsburgh. Thanks for the video happy flying.
Thank you! Good luck on your private and on achieving that dream!
Very nice, I watched it twice, you are the man.
Thanks!
Nice video!!! Will probably look even better when the spring and summer come. Nice touch with the music and atc. Maybe a piper 180 or 230 would work.
Thanks!
I'm pretty happy with my 140 for this trip. But trying to see if I can get access to a 235 that's nearby for trips where I would like to travel further.
This would be 400 miles one-way from Knoxville for me and family of four. Maybe a weekend trip and stay the night. I'm still day-dreaming about my mission and what kind of plane I need. We are a hefty bunch. I'd wager 890 lbs without bags.
Yeah. It's a tough thing to figure out what airplane to own. Especially given that most of the time you'll be flying alone.
It's a little easier for me since my kids are older. Which means that I don't have to worry as much about taking them along. So I'm aiming for an airplane that will most of the time carry just me, occasionally also carry my wife, and rarely carry a 3rd passenger.
My current airplane does this. Just at low speeds (113 knots). My next airplane I hope will do the same just a bit faster. I'd like 150 knots so that my wife and I can get places faster.
One thing I'm considering is joining a club that has a Cherokee 6 so I can have access to an airplane for those extremely rare times when I would like to carry more people.
Good luck in figuring out your mission and finding an airplane that best fits it.
ATC traffic was good. Let’s anyone new to the area “hear” the local traffic and airport chatter.
Yeah, someone suggested that on a different video of mine where I just played music over the top. I really like the addition of the ATC chatter.
I can’t wait to start flying in new areas. I need to get my checkride done
I 💯 know the feeling! I was so ready to get to the checkride near the end. So much so that I was not really nervous at all.
I was like: bring it on. I'm gonna pass this thing.
Beautiful video. I like how you tag locations on the ground. What editing software re you using to do that?
Got your text. Sent one back.
I use davinci resolve for video editing. And thanks!
Not unless you go to a high wing, my favorite right now is a cirrus
Yeah the wing out of the way would certainly emphasize the views a lot better.
Ive been following you for a bit, I recently got my PPL (November 21), this location (KCRE) has been on my bucket list for a while now. I fly out of KEQY and would love to go up with you sometime if you're interested, maybe create a little synergy with our channels (I need to record more when I fly I know, and apparently take it easy on the parenthesis :)) Are you interested in some sort of joint flying adventure?
Oh! Nice. Yeah I've flown into EQY a couple of times, but mostly I've flown over it as a waypoint before heading to the beach. I like using that when I want to navigate just via pilotage. Easy to get to from JQF b/c of 485 and 74, and then just follow 74 the rest of the way.
And yeah let's get together. I don't want to post my phone number here. Best way to get in contact with me is twitter DM. Let's figure out a time when we can do that.
