@@JesReadsBooks It's funny, you mentioned that in the beginning of the video :P People are wieners! Nice collection Jes! I just started reading Mr.Kings work, I just bought Different Seasons and The Shining :D

Musashi-san ____ Wow! I have got a copy of Rage as well (Swedish though, because that’s were I live). It’s pretty old, since it was my fathers before me.
even in that condition, that rage book is worth hundreds easy. great collection. i am just now realizing there is a face in the cover of dr sleep, never noticed that before lol
I almost sold my book collection to pay the down payment on my current house, and I cried a lot about it. LUCKILY, my husband and I were blessed enough to have family members who lent us the money, so I didn't have to, but I am so sorry that you had to go through that. Books are my most prized possessions
Just found your channel and love it! 😍 11/23/63 is so far my favorite Stephen King book but I’ve only read 2-3 of his books so far. I’m planning on collecting and reading all of his books eventually
I gotta be honest..... I HATED Song of Susannah. I felt like it was just a set up for book 7. There was very little that was actually memorable about the book. Personally my favorite was Wizard and Glass. I felt that it was a fantastic story and amazing characters. I read them one right after another so I can tell why some people hated Wizard and Glass because it didn't advance the story hardly at all. But I loved it
You have one of the best Stephen King collections I’ve ever seen. I love Stephen King as and am so happy I stumbled on this video and I just subscribed
Since December of 2017 Ive Read IT, Pet Semetary, Different Seasons and im now a good chuck into the stand. I ve started a collection of my own! Great video! And you have to read pet semetary
20 yrs ago i was 15. That's when i started reading King. But...i was living in Europe, not all of them went to print and they're were all translated. 20 yrs later i decided to rebuild my King collection. My goal is to read everything he wrote. Sounds like a fanboy...eh... I'm also crazy about collecting different editions, hardcovers, paperbacks. No mass market. I just ordered 4 halloween editions from UK. Christine, Shining, Cell and Bag of Bones. I started my collection about 3 weeks ago and i have so far 48 books. Just finished reading Cujo, Needful Things, Shining and i'm almost done with the Stand. You're collection it's amazing, that Viking edition of Needful Thing it's gold. Also, beautiful tattoo. Thanks for taking time to show us your collection.
I commented on Peter Straub as well. He's really a favorite of mine, and I told the video blogger that she's gotta read the Talisman. A really fantastic book! Also, if you haven't read Straub's Floating Dragon, you really should. It's amazing!!! Great to see someone out there appreciate Straub!
You can remove as much of the stickers by hand then use sticky side of tape to remove any leftover sticker. I always do that when I get used books that have them.
You may have read Dolores Claiborne by now, but if you haven’t, you absolutely should. Incredibly moving story with a really different narrative style for him.
~That's one of the presents I got for my 30th birthday this year May 4th Stephen King,Owen King Sleeping Beauties book so very happy and excited about it kept saying thank you so much.~
I have that same copy of Cell and it is honestly the book that got me started into my Stephen King reading. Just a warning though.. if you haven't seen the movie yet, it absolutely sucks. Anyway, my all time favorite books my him are The Stand and the Dark Tower series. I'm currently on book 5 "Wolves of the Calla".
I love how you are doing the voice-over audio after you shot the video and you say things like “ahh” once you get the book back in place on the shelf. So funny. You must buy It….
Great video. Hope you've gotten around to reading the Talisman. It's a unique collaboration between two of the best horror writers ever and a wonderful experience to read. I don't even know if it qualifies as a horror story though because it's more like a fantastic fairy tale adventure and its worthy sequel Black House is more like a supernatural detective story. Dolores Claiborne is not as creepy as the cover makes it look either though it does deal with some traumatic events.
I'm new to your channel so I don't know your thoughts of Lisey's Story or how far you got into it, but I didn't like the beginning of Lisey's Story either. I actually stopped reading it and put it aside for YEARS. Several years ago, I sat down and decided to push through it, just to say that I've read it, and once I got past the first 25% or so, I really got into it and it flew by. It's one of my favorites of his now. It's very emotional. There's the supernatural element that comes in 25%+ that's really an effective foil for the RL protagonist in the book. It's not a 700 page book about a woman getting beaten up until she kills him. The hubby had this whole other world that he went to and he knew this guy would chase her so he left her clues on how to deal with the guy. It's her journey through the grief of losing him and getting to know him fully, as well as this supernatural entity/world, and the protagonist. But the beginning sucks.
I read Desperation when I was 19 and I was absolutely hooked. I read The girl who loved Tom Gordon, Carrie, The Shining, Doctor Sleep and 11/22/63 and I liked them all. Then I read the unedited edition of The Stand and I have felt a lot of hesitation when picking up a Stephen King book ever since. It was so bloated, so hard to get through that It put me in a 2-month reading slump and sadly turned out to be so far my least favorite book of all time. It made me completely forget that I really enjoyed his books and it took me a while before I picked another one up. I own a lot of his books as well. I read IT and enjoyed it. I tried to get through the Dark Tower series and got bored. I guess I have a hit or miss relationship with Stephen King books at this point.

Loved this. This year I'm working on a personal reading goal of "year of king" in addition to my usual 50 or so books - reading one King book a month to catch up with his work! I would highly recommend The Talisman + the sequel Black House. They tie into the Dark Tower and I personally really enjoyed them. The Talisman is pretty light fantasy, and Black House is very dark horror/fantasy. I'd love to buddy read Pet Sematary if you get to it this year! I’ve never read a Stephen king book......I don’t own one either 😳
Nice copy of Rage!
I talk really fast but you've got me beat. Love hearing your reviews but it's hard to keep up.
Noey Tindol you should try subtitles! They're pretty accurate and a lot more realistic than me slowing down 😉
Here's my short term TBR list including my hopeful King reads: www.goodreads.com/review/list/24590339-kaili?shelf=to-read-next
