So basically they made it easier to find the top tier team leaders, but harder to find the lower tier team leaders. That was the MAJOR issue with the friend system before this update, and they only made that aspect of it worse
Its so dumb, been busy for like 3 months to do GT Bosses GTLGE mission and in those 3 months i only found 2 LR Super 17 the friend system is a disaster.

And i have 2 theories 1 they GT Bosses just so that there is a lead for it, 2 i think with his EZA we get what he originally was supposed to be and that gave us this nerfed version of him. Anyway i even bought the LR Shadow Dragons in the hope of trying to do it with a shadow dragon team, but all in all they should have added both hellfighter and AGL 17 to the category. And most of all we are over due for a real GT Bosses lead, like a non transforming Great Ape Baby or a Super Baby that is on the new Kid Goku level.

However in the hardest stage in the game which is teq cell max where agl cell suffers against type disadvantage. It lets you use cell.

What confuses me about it is not only does it give you a rainbowed mono leader to pick in the mono esbr stages, but one piece treasure cruise let's you take an exact copy of your unit and it's also a bandai namco game (different people working on it I know but the solution is literally right in front of you)

What I would like for a change in the friend system is that instead of the friend supporter, you just see the favorite character of the player and when you click on the player you go straight to that player's box to choose which character you want as your friend lead
Or just let us have „access“ to their whole box where the system just picks the best fitting one and not only the only one unit that the friend has set as their friend unit

My brother started Dokkan VERY late, and I have about 400 rainbow units. For him to complete the old EZAs (which give a TON of stones if you knock them all out). Basically he gets ONE stage done a day... when I set whichever character he needs as a leader so he can find someone.

His TC team carried him through so much content until the EZAs and SBRs became the only things left. Now his Wicked Bloodline team is nearly fully rainbowed with big time units and he's enjoying the game but is completely stonewalled on the damn Teq Masked Saiyan EZA. Wtf Dokkan. This is terrible.
100% it's so damn annoying, I find myself using teams I don't even wanna use purely because I can't find proper friend units. Part of what made me like Dokkan in the first place was the variety of characters and teams, but when you can't find matching friends for some of the lesser used category's it takes away a lot of the fun.
I see what you mean. I was trying to do an EZA for my Bardock Team and noticed I am not able to use PHY Ginyu as a friend and just kicks me out of the event.

The more words that get out to the devs about how horrendous the friend system is the more likely that we might see something actually good implemented. I've noticed these "Dev" Accounts too. There's an LR PHY Base Goku that has SA 10 but is 100%'d and only has 2 numbers on their Friend ID number. I always see this on Extreme Z Battles at the very bottom of the friend selection. Not sure if anyone else has noticed this or not
That’s always supposed to be there. The devs said they left it there for new players so they could have a friend that at least gives everyone a stat boost, since new players are gonna be running super wonky teams.
i guess the main concern is to remove the ability for f2p players to use the units they didn't manage to pull as friend leads, if they did make it to where you're forced to use your own units, but i suppose as long as they just add this feature and not have it replace anything, everything would be much better.
Fun fact: On global,I haven't found an lr gods friend cuz all my friend lr gods changed it to any of the wwc units and i haven't found an lr gods friend for TWO DAYS. I keep resetting over and over by playing events but the stamina runs out with still no gods. Another fun fact about that fun fact is that there is nothing 'fun' about it. Thanks Dokkan love ya.

If they don’t want to do a mirrored lead it would be really useful for each player to be able to set 3 leaders for people to use in addition to whatever lead you are actively using
I saw a guest with a game ID of just "5" yesterday when normal players have 9 digit IDs. Definitely not real players lol. I was also trying to use a boost, everytime i clicked boost and entered team screen, the guest leader with increased drop rate would suddenly vanish. But when I unchecked the boost, the leaders with extra drop rates would suddenly appear again. Definitely by design...
It feels like the past year on global the friend system has gotten worse. Like Truth said, idk if it's a bug or what, but I can't even find guests anymore. If I use a friend then they go away until the next day and I've been having issues completing events compared to even 2 years ago because I can't find a friend lead
If they can give a rainbow leader for some esbr stages I dont see the problem in giving us a proper mirror lead so we can use some of these smaller categories like earthling, peppy gals, etc.
If they don't want to fix an actual friend system between other players then all they need to do is either 1) let you pick one of your own units/mirror your own leader OR 2) have a sortable, filterable list of every single unit in the game at 100%, hidden potential max, level 10 links.
i feel like 55% LL10 would be better if its from a list because then you could just let them carry you for free at the devs expense. mirroring would be better and incentivize rainbowing since its your own unit

I designed a proper solution for the friend problem. I came up with this TWO YEARS AGO, and it's just mind-blowing to me how it's still relevant today. Anyway, it's a lengthy read, but here it goes: *Friend Update Solution:* Every player can now select 1 Friend Supporter for each existing category in the game. *How To Set Up Your Friend Supporters:* First, tap the "Profile" button on the top left of the screen (under your rank) to open your personal profile. Next, tap the "Friend Supporter" option. A list of all categories in the game (with an empty space next to them) will be displayed. Tap the empty space next to a category's name to select a supporter for that category. A list of all characters you own that lead that category will be displayed, and you can select any of your choice as your Friend Supporter for that category. Once selected, you will be sent back to the list of categories, and the character you selected will now be displayed as your Support Leader for that category, and will be available for all your friends to use. *Dragon Stone Rewards:* For each Support Leader selected, players are rewarded with 1 dragon stone. In addition to that, if the Support Leader selected boosts the respective category by 150% or more, an extra dragon stone is rewarded. There is no time limit to obtain the extra stone, so don't worry. You can still change afterwards if the one you selected initially isn't 150% or better yet. These rewards aren't here for no reason. They will be a nice incentive for players to set up decent leaders for other players to use. *Supporters Checkbook:* On the list of categories screen, there will be a book symbol on the top right. @@baileylewis727 i can see that, but nah it has to be stones. The whole point is to encourage people (especially old players that has lots of leads) to set up their supporters. And anyone that has been playing for 2 years or so just doesn't need kais that much anymore. It's just not that valuable. Plus, it's really not that unrealistic. There's a little less than 100 categories in the game right now. With 2 stones for each supporter, that's less than 200 total. If they gave more than that away for free on that all stars EZA bs, they can do it for something actually useful.
Honestly what they could do is prioritize our friends list first (being able to use online and offline friends no matter what) and then when you use a filter, guests show up, but only with units that you actually need
It's annoying because Dokkan must realise this primarily affects their premium players, the players who want to spend and get units & beat difficult stages or try random teams. It makes no sense for them to not fix the Friend's System.
Ideal solution: mirror our leaders. Compromised solution: add a 55% mirror of our leader. I'm totally fine with the latter so I can at least run some fun teams.
how do people feel about perhaps a close friends system where you can reuse their friend support indefinitely. and allow the friends to change that support unit. I think this is a nice compromise to encourage a sense of community, while also making using any team easier.

They need to let us pick 3 friend support leads for our fiends list. That way it's much more likely you'll get a unit you can use. I would put up my most powerful unit I have as a lead, a useful lead and a hard to find one.
That explains one thing today, i was farming these Hercule Gold Coins for the two Elders Kais in the GT Event. I Never got a unit with a dropbonus, everytime i got AGL Turles and i had to switch the friendlead to a Unit with a dropbonus myself. What an awful system.
As f2p I can only really build 1 team (I only summon for vegeta family) I have to stock up on the majin vegeta friends to be able to play the game. I’ve added every single majin vegeta friend since the character came out only have 5-6 MV friends left at the moment. If they allow you to mirror your lead it would also incentivize people to try to rainbow their leads

Me trying to beat the Time Travelers ESBR with a Trunks and Mai stunlock strategy and not being able to do it because no one runs them as a friend is not cool.
I feel like they way they should implement the using your own character as your friend lead should be the same as the double run mechanic, let the players use it 3-5 times a day with a recharge timer, and let us buy the recharge time with friend points
Easy way they could fix without allowing you to use your own units, because for some reason they don’t want to do it, is just allowing a set character for each category so every player has multiple leaders set
What they could do is make a coop event, like a raid or something like that, and get friend points from that when you raid with your friends. That'll fix the friend point problem, and then for the friend system just mirror leads.
i think something they could do would make a 'ssr' statue thing that can be obtained on the friend banner, which could be traded into the baba shop tab to get a token to mirror your team leader
I think a fair solution would be to have the ability to mirror your leader but as 55% no equips that way you can still get better from the friend system but you will always have a leader for the team

Idk if i am the only one but for me on global there were only SSR lvl 80 bots as guests in the friendslist. I hope that changes after the update. I can't play the game it's so annoying
Honestly a good idea for friend points would be an exchange shop that updates weekly. Then have the friend point banner as an option to summon on or just put the lrs in the exchange shop then take down the friend point banner. But like that'll ever happen
I recently bought AGL Cell with coins and after link leveling him a bit I really want to try him out but there have been NO CELL LEADS. It’s incredibly frustrating.
By default, we should be able to use either a unit we own or a copy of the lead as the friend supporter. (I know they could impliment this system because of Dokkan Battlefield!!!) The proliferation of categories and multi-category leads as well as the level of difficulty of these events necessitate this change. I hope Dokkan listens soon.

You can check if it's a dev account by looking at the ID. If it's a really low number, it's a dev. I know this by the guest version Z Goku they always hand out. Different accounts, but it's always a 3 digit number or less

Got this issue on JP whilst on Global we have the glitch that reduces the availability of guests, Dokkan are on a role atm.

I've noticed these "Dev" Accounts too. There's an LR PHY Base Goku that has SA 10 but is 100%'d and only has 2 numbers on their Friend ID number. I always see this on Extreme Z Battles at the very bottom of the friend selection. Not sure if anyone else has noticed this or not
That’s always supposed to be there. The devs said they left it there for new players so they could have a friend that at least gives everyone a stat boost, since new players are gonna be running super wonky teams.

i guess the main concern is to remove the ability for f2p players to use the units they didn't manage to pull as friend leads, if they did make it to where you're forced to use your own units, but i suppose as long as they just add this feature and not have it replace anything, everything would be much better.
Fun fact: On global,I haven't found an lr gods friend cuz all my friend lr gods changed it to any of the wwc units and i haven't found an lr gods friend for TWO DAYS. I keep resetting over and over by playing events but the stamina runs out with still no gods.

You can also reset by playing an event with zero stamina and then backing out

If they don’t want to do a mirrored lead it would be really useful for each player to be able to set 3 leaders for people to use in addition to whatever lead you are actively using
I saw a guest with a game ID of just "5" yesterday when normal players have 9 digit IDs. Definitely not real players lol. I was also trying to use a boost, everytime i clicked boost and entered team screen, the guest leader with increased drop rate would suddenly vanish. But when I unchecked the boost, the leaders with extra drop rates would suddenly appear again. Definitely by design...

It feels like the past year on global the friend system has gotten worse. Like Truth said, idk if it's a bug or what, but I can't even find guests anymore. If I use a friend then they go away until the next day and I've been having issues completing events compared to even 2 years ago because I can't find a friend lead
If they can give a rainbow leader for some esbr stages I dont see the problem in giving us a proper mirror lead so we can use some of these smaller categories like earthling, peppy gals, etc.

If they don't want to fix an actual friend system between other players then all they need to do is either 1) let you pick one of your own units/mirror your own leader OR 2) have a sortable, filterable list of every single unit in the game at 100%, hidden potential max, level 10 links.
i feel like 55% LL10 would be better if its from a list because then you could just let them carry you for free at the devs expense. mirroring would be better and incentivize rainbowing since its your own unit

I dont really understand the problem of dokkan/bamco/bandai. They could easlyyyy implement the friend system format just like in One Piece Treasure Cruise. The friend system there was updated 2 years ago and since than it made the game very enjoyable
That fix even incentivizes summoning so they can indirectly make more money.
I designed a proper solution for the friend problem. I came up with this TWO YEARS AGO, and it's just mind-blowing to me how it's still relevant today.
Anyway, it's a lengthy read, but here it goes:
*Friend Update Solution:*
Every player can now select 1 Friend Supporter for each existing category in the game.
*How To Set Up Your Friend Supporters:*
First, tap the "Profile" button on the top left of the screen (under your rank) to open your personal profile.
Next, tap the "Friend Supporter" option.
A list of all categories in the game (with an empty space next to them) will be displayed.
Tap the empty space next to a category's name to select a supporter for that category. A list of all characters you own that lead that category will be displayed, and you can select any of your choice as your Friend Supporter for that category.
Once selected, you will be sent back to the list of categories, and the character you selected will now be displayed as your Support Leader for that category, and will be available for all your friends to use.
*Dragon Stone Rewards:*
For each Support Leader selected, players are rewarded with 1 dragon stone.
In addition to that, if the Support Leader selected boosts the respective category by 150% or more, an extra dragon stone is rewarded.
There is no time limit to obtain the extra stone, so don't worry. You can still change afterwards if the one you selected initially isn't 150% or better yet.
These rewards aren't here for no reason. They will be a nice incentive for players to set up decent leaders for other players to use.
*Supporters Checkbook:*
On the list of categories screen, there will be a book symbol on the top right. That is your Supporters Checkbook. The same list as the previous screen, but more compressed, only showing a smaller character icon of the character you selected as the supporter for every category, all fitting in the same screen.
Players can screenshot this page and share this picture with their friends and other players to show how wide their variety of leaders are, and potentially make new friends interested on the leaders you currently have available.
*Most Recommended Supporters List:*
On the screen with the list of all leaders you have for each specific category, there will be a button on the top right that shows you a Top 5 list of most used leaders for that category.
*Result:*
After this update is implemented, when selecting a category on the list of Guests/Friends upon starting a stage, you will now be shown a list of all characters selected by friends and guests as their supporters for that category.

@@baileylewis727 i can see that, but nah it has to be stones. The whole point is to encourage people (especially old players that has lots of leads) to set up their supporters. And anyone that has been playing for 2 years or so just doesn't need kais that much anymore. It's just not that valuable.
Plus, it's really not that unrealistic. There's a little less than 100 categories in the game right now. With 2 stones for each supporter, that's less than 200 total. If they gave more than that away for free on that all stars EZA bs, they can do it for something actually useful.
Honestly what they could do is prioritize our friends list first (being able to use online and offline friends no matter what) and then when you use a filter, guests show up, but only with units that you actually need
It's annoying because Dokkan must realise this primarily affects their premium players, the players who want to spend and get units & beat difficult stages or try random teams. It makes no sense for them to not fix the Friend's System.

Ideal solution: mirror our leaders. Compromised solution: add a 55% mirror of our leader. I'm totally fine with the latter so I can at least run some fun teams.

how do people feel about perhaps a close friends system where you can reuse their friend support indefinitely. and allow the friends to change that support unit. I think this is a nice compromise to encourage a sense of community, while also making using any team easier.
They are trying their hardest to not make the friend system actually good.

They need to let us pick 3 friend support leads for our fiends list. That way it's much more likely you'll get a unit you can use. I would put up my most powerful unit I have as a lead, a useful lead and a hard to find one.
That explains one thing today, i was farming these Hercule Gold Coins for the two Elders Kais in the GT Event. I Never got a unit with a dropbonus, everytime i got AGL Turles and i had to switch the friendlead to a Unit with a dropbonus myself. What an awful system.

As f2p I can only really build 1 team (I only summon for vegeta family) I have to stock up on the majin vegeta friends to be able to play the game. I’ve added every single majin vegeta friend since the character came out only have 5-6 MV friends left at the moment. If they allow you to mirror your lead it would also incentivize people to try to rainbow their leads

Easy way they could fix without allowing you to use your own units, because for some reason they don’t want to do it, is just allowing a set character for each category so every player has multiple leaders set
What they could do is make a coop event, like a raid or something like that, and get friend points from that when you raid with your friends. That'll fix the friend point problem, and then for the friend system just mirror leads.
i think something they could do would make a 'ssr' statue thing that can be obtained on the friend banner, which could be traded into the baba shop tab to get a token to mirror your team leader
I think a fair solution would be to have the ability to mirror your leader but as 55% no equips that way you can still get better from the friend system but you will always have a leader for the team

Honestly a good idea for friend points would be an exchange shop that updates weekly. Then have the friend point banner as an option to summon on or just put the lrs in the exchange shop then take down the friend point banner. But like that'll ever happen

By default, we should be able to use either a unit we own or a copy of the lead as the friend supporter. (I know they could impliment this system because of Dokkan Battlefield!!!) The proliferation of categories and multi-category leads as well as the level of difficulty of these events necessitate this change. I hope Dokkan listens soon.

This how I felt trying to find a Teq Ult gohan friend when I was doing LR PHY Cell’s EZA. Sure I got str Goku/gohan as friends, but they aren’t on teq Ult Gohan’s team which was my best leader
Good to know the global thing is a bug. genuinely annoying, most players don't have every unit, so I depend on the friend system to push Jank teams through EZA and SBR. It's pretty much the same as content with limits per day, friend list runs out? that's it wait till tmmw. And that's even if your friends have the unit LOL
Pan, Ginyu , cell and raditz will be hard to find on both global and jp bc everyone only puts up only the 7 years or str cooler on global. On jp it’s trunks and vegeta and again cooler.

You can check if it's a dev account by looking at the ID. If it's a really low number, it's a dev. I know this by the guest version Z Goku they always hand out. Different accounts, but it's always a 3 digit number or less
