Personally I think its just the fact that Lr Vegeta and Trunks dethroned the most hype units of the year right as global is going to get them. It just makes it feel not as hype going into the anniversary now because a better unit exists, especially when the unit is based on such a mid moment in the show.

I personally don’t have a problem with vegeta/trunks at number one. Year 7s are better offensively and vegeta and trunks are better defensively, defense is deff important, if this unit were like a vegito blue or some other hype unit nobody would bat an eye 💀
This is very true, we've seen it time and time again, Teq Gogeta vs Str Vegito, Gohan vs Ssj4 gogeta. The more defensive unit comes out on top.

I think the reason people are so touchy ab the 7 years is that there just about to drop on global. A unit that was hailed as clear kings of the game just go dethroned right before we get them so either people get defensive lying to themselves that their still 1 or accept that there release won’t be as hype as it was on Jp. Wouldn’t be an issue if we had the games lined up, players would be way more open to a changing meta

Them complimenting each other and the 7th anniversary LR's getting a buff is what I base my opinion on. I don't think any of the three are above one another, because of how you can set up rotations and have the best of both damage and defense.
That’s honestly how I feel as well. That was the same stance I had for TEQ Gogeta and STR Vegito. They bring the strengths out of one another, so why bother getting caught up debating which is better when they’re in the same exact tier of greatness anyways? 🤷🏾♂️

Personally I would like to put all three of them on their own tier. All three are far and away the best three units in the game and they make each other look better. It’s ok that the 7th anniversary lrs aren’t the best anymore but it’s not like they’ve fallen off, it’s obvious to they’ve gotten better with the release of vegeta and trunks. Just put vegeta and trunks in slot one and one of the 7th anniversary lrs in slot two and you’re good 99% of the time. It’s just a waste of brain power to try and critique every thing and defend the 7th anniversary lrs like all of the sudden they’ve turned to shit.

the year 7’s do more damage there’s absolutely no debating that, but with the way these super hard fights are set up having a unit who you can just throw in slot 1 and literally not worry about, tanking super attacks for double digits from the hardest hitting boss in the game, while still doing decent damage is simply unbeatable to me. vegeta/trunks is king daddy

Have us submit clips of using the new LR's to argue points that you can critique in similar way to your rants to either prove your points or give props type ish. Like every time I watch your rants against the community I usually agree with your views but I always feel it would be just as cool and innovative if you did vids giving your doubters a chance the show what they mean and you're actually able to visually disprove them or get a new view of the argument.

The funny thing is that people talk about how much damage the gods and ssj4s do and how little you stack them but if they didn’t do so much damage you would have been able to stack more before hitting aoe broly
This is what I’ve been saying, their argument is so faulty because if they do lots of damage they blaze through the fight, but then they criticize truth for not getting enough stacks when he literally can’t. Finally someone gets it

If he didn’t transform, he wouldn’t have done enough damage and in the reality where he did survive he wouldve again died because he wouldve been on broly for an extra turn or two. Course he died anyways but if he didn’t he might’ve been able to kill him there or the next turn, since the year 7s hit harder transformed

Teq gogeta was such a letdown. The animations are so good, yet you can't use him in any really hard event unless he has type advantage or smth. Nullify unarmed super attack is useless because no one will look up the SA type of every boss. Also, he has to HIT them first. I still love using him on easy levels tho. Personal preference :)
It's just hard for people to cope up with the fact that after waiting for so long for the best unit in the game to arrive on global, a new best unit arrives(which is not much hyped too) on jp and they are like oh no no no, anniversary units are better coz of their damage lol.

Think this is similar to gogeta v vegito. Vegitos damage is beyond gogetas which is the same as year 7 and trunk/vegeta. But defensively gogeta is better even if it's not as much as the trunk/vegeta is better defensively than year 7.
Heres the thing though when it comes to defense, in slot 1 you can say that trunks and vegeta are better defensivly, but when it comes to slot 2 or 3 though the gods and ssj4s are better defensivly
Of course slot 1 is a rarer spot to be good in, but all 3 slots exists, so you should take this into consideration. Then we look at the damage and the 7th year LRs hands down easily not even comparable are doing way more damage with their double or triple super attacks that are super effective with a 50% chance to crit as well while hitting way higher attack stats too

@@thevipez8740 defensively in slot 2/3 I agree year 7 is better. But being slot 1 is really important bc it allows the units in slot 2/3 to super atk to raise def like the year 7 by 100% and 50%. I love year 7 infinitely more than trunk/vegeta but defense is more important at this point in dokkan.

Also it's a stupid flaw in the gods design to have the dodge rather than the damage reduction, maybe they thought it'd make him too efficient against broly but it's bad that he's got this lingering over him against a fight he's supposed to shine in.

@@Elijahhh. I totally understand, but giving them damage reduction and no counter would just flat out make them inferior to gogeta. So to me, the dodge chance is fine. If they made Broly susceptible to dodge, it would heavily lower the difficulty and make way for units like caulifla, and it defeats the purpose of the redzone being the hardest fight.
dodge chance is pretty good, specially because of how it stacks. If they get 3 rbw orbs they get 51% chance to dodge, which is better than ssj4 gogeta if you put them in slot 1. The problem is broly for example cancels dodging, but its a busted ability agaisnt any boss that doesnt cancel dodge

This topic of who's the best in the game should not get so heated. 1. It doesn't matter who is better because the 7 years and Vegeta/Trunks can be run on the same team anyway. 2. Vegeta/Trunks have a different role then the 7 years, they tank better and the 7 years hit harder. But regardless of this, Vegeta/Trunks can still hit hard and the 7 years are not defenseless, because of this it comes down to preference anyway. I respect whoever people think is better but you guys gotta relax about Truths opinion, it's his opinion that they are better and it is not objective so don't treat it like it is because there are good points on both sides of who's better and Truth if you read this. Yeah people are just being stupid again. I don't get why they're so mad, this unit being this good only helps the 7 year LRs. Now they have a team where they can have a reliable slot 1 unit that helps cover some of their weaknesses. I just don't understand this weird tribalism going on with the community, it's always been this way and it just doesn't makes sense to me.
Most of this is valid but objectively trunks and vegeta do have the edge(defensively), the problem arises when people do put it up to preference and make bullshit arguments to try and cement year 7s over trunks and vegeta

I think the problem people have is that Truth turns on units very easily. 2 weeks before LR Trunks and Vegeta were revealed all he would say is that the 7th Year anni LRs could carry you through Redzone by themselves. Then LR Vegeta and Trunks drop and then he starts bashing them a bit.

Kinda wrong. Broly and Omega were designed to counter them. Like Broly disabling dodge, a strong ability of the lr gods and Omega having a str phase to counter Phy Lr Gogeta. You can make a case that Gogeta was made to defeat Omega, cause of his two int phases, but you can't say that they were made to beat Broly.

I do think in a weird way the 7th year anniversary units are worse for truth than a f2p player. Players with less dupes in their other units are gonna be doing less damage early on allowing them to get more supers off while truth just destroys the early stages and gets fewer stacks, and less defense, as a result.
True. But running 3 of them could easily yield the same result, and having the player get caught in a situation where the year 7s could get them killed slot one.
He's also bringing them all to the hardest stage in the game and evaluating them based on that. While future stages might be just as crazy, a vast majority of the playerbase isn't going to have these insane units 100% done with equips making them even stronger.

Problem is they set red zone up so you couldn't just insta nuke it like every other super short and hard event.
God event was ez asf because it was one stage (and because global had several powerful units at that meta released prior to it. I'm sure Red Zone will be the same way) . Red zone is god event with multiple stages. so nuking is almost impossible.

It’s more a case of 1. Year 7 hype on global carrying over to how people rank units and 2. Trunks and vegeta not being that hype at all. Like another comment mentioned, if this were a vegito blue, I doubt many people would say anything if truth called them best and expressed his opinions in the exact same way
I don't think that people realize that there is an overwhelming shortage of slot 1 defensive units when compared to everyone else that gets a massive defensive buff on Super. The game has evolved way beyond the days of being to take your favorite units into any given event and steamrolling the AI.
I feel like this philosphy of 'just stack' is becoming a big issue when evaluating units. Sure, back in the day when the hardest content were the Legendary Events the strat of stacking up was the way to go because the fights get harder progressively. Nowadays, we have content like Red Zone and (Extreme) Super Battle Road, events that also start out pretty difficult and in SBR's case don't last that long. Therefore, often times you don't have the luxury of stacking up a lot. In SBR you sometimes don't even get to transform with the 7th anni LR's and in Red Zone, once a certain point of the fight is reached it is almost necessary to transform with them. Let's take the two hardest fights now as an example. Usually, I find myself transforming with them on AoE Broly and on STR Syn, the 2nd Phase of the latter's fight. You need the 7th anni LR's high defensive increase and nullification in these phases, otherwise it can get tricky. Typically, it's around turn 5 or so once you get to AoE Broly and STR Syn and the Gods and SSJ4's have like around 400k - 450k defense and that is the best case scenario if you have them on both rotations. If we follow the philosophy of just 'stacking up', we keep them untransformed. Guess what, the Gods take 440k damage from Broly's AoE and around 550k from STR Syn's SA. And the SSJ4's take even more because they have type disadvantage. If you get unlucky and one of them starts out in slot 7 or something like that, you typically end up with only like 350k defense, maybe even less depending on dupes and link levels. In that case, you take even more damage. Same thing in SBR where the enemies SA's hit you for hundreds of thousands of damage and item usage is important. So what do you do? Right, you transform to get all their defensive buffs on Super to cut down on damage taken and to use the nullification. But sometimes, even with all their defensive increases, you can take a good chunk of damage from a big time SA because you had to transform a bit earlier than you wanted to. Of course, they both have other defensive capabilities like Gogeta's damage reduction and the God's dodge chance. We definitely have to keep that in mind but the dodge for example gets cancelled by Broly so we do have to remember that. I have seen a similar stacking philosophy with PHY LR Goku & Piccolo, where a lot of people pointed out that the Piccolo portion is completely fine because he stacks on 12 ki. This I find ridiculous because 1. getting his 12 ki is not easy and 2. his start of turn defense is just too low. 150k - 200k is not enough even in the Legendary Events. The 7th anni LR's are absolutely bonkers units and still right up there on the podium, but they are not invincible. But that's totally fine because they still perform more than exceptional pretty much anywhere. Just because one unit comes out that is overall a bit better doesn't make them any less good. They are still just as busted as they were on release. It's only that the strat of simply stacking needs to seriously be reevaluated and that just because a unit stacks with only raw defense they are not invincible.
The promblem with this argument is that you don't have to stack in exteme sbr? Turn 1 they guard and turn 2 you simply transform?
In red zone you can stack the first 2 bosses are typically god event level or weaker so you have plenty of time to stack before ever getting to a "red zone" level boss so people's complaint of just stack is compelty justified. There not talking about exteme sbr. There talking about red zone which just like lge starts out very weak( comapred to 2022 units) amd gets harder as the fight goes on.
You don't have to stack with the 7 year lrs because they solo the event transformed but that doesn't change the fact there better defneively overall if you choose to stack ao you can't cry about there defence and than choose not to stack because your saying there damage output is far more important than there defence.

Unless youre telling me every person has every unit rainbowed like truth, the first stages of even Red Zone are going to be quite hard, its nothing at ALL like lge. And I dont get why you 7th year dickriders go so hard to defend them, they are SQUISHY before supering, no matter what you think. They may have like 170k defense gaurd up turn one, but if they get supered before they get to start stacking, they WILL take damage, even in ESBR. UNLIKE Trunks and Vegeta, they are MADE to tank first slot so others can stack without the risk of taking loads of damage, which is WHY Trunks and Vegeta are better, I simply dont get how they arent. TV are literally made to make it safer to stack, which just that by itself is such a strong ability.

Could you do a video in preparation of the 7 year gogeta's in regards to attacks effective against all types and crits please? I feel that people don't understand how it works. In the database it assigns a 1.5x multiplier for effective against all types, and a 1.9x multiplier for crits.
So if your unit has a 7m atk stat on super, but is effective against all types, then that damage equates to if they shot out a 10.5m atk stat.
If it was a 7m atk stat, but it crits, then the damage would equate to a 13.3m atk stat.

Defense will always be more valuable than offense but what I like more about the gods is they get their entrance animation guaranteed and their active skill condition is much easier to fulfill. Also they stack on both super attacks in base so turns where you triple super can be really insane but vegeta and trunks can only stack once per turn. Vegeta and trunks are still better overall but only by a slight margin because slot 1 units are extremely valuable right now

Ranking units will never make sense in a game based around using them TOGETHER. That's like saying that we need to rank players that are on the same sports team.
It's pointless, they all do different things that, together, helps us complete challenges and events.
Tier ranking makes far more sense if people wanna focus on such things.
It’s valid to rank them though. Just like in sports one can have more value or be flat out better, and can solo carry you in different things. Like when curry and KD were on the same team, it’s completely valid to compare them, it gives other teams who want one of them a sense of what the player is bringing when they compare them to others. Now obviously curry is an untouchable, but my point pretty much still stands.
Like, think of summoning as teams looking for people to trade for in a sense. You would want the scope of who’s better and who bring a more. Of course this analogy isn’t the best since you can literally get all of the best units on the same team, but you get what I mean

You are underrating the anniversary LRs though, you say "they can get slapped up" but you never finish the sentence, the full sentence should be "They can get sort of slapped up, if they havent supered yet". Like for example the LR gods if they are around 300k pre super, post supering they will be at around 750k, and with triple super its 900k thats a pretty massive jump is it not? that with a 50% chance to dodge basically is insanely good tell me some units in the game that can match that level of defense turn 4
You can say that their 300k defense and dodge or damage reduction or counter, in slot 1 pre super, isnt the best defense ever, but you have to mention how thats slot 1 pre attack, and also mention how post attack their defense goes up to like 800k with 50% chance to dodge, or damage reduction and so on. Another thing you completely miss which is actually a big criticsm is that the LR trunks and vegeta HAS to be in slot 1, if not then they arent even close to the defense of the 7th year anniversary units who do wayyy more damage too, so in scenarios where this happens where theres a super slot 2 or maybe they get locked, then yeah the 7th year LRs are better in every single way in those scenarios easily

Except that he didn't say that at all and was only referring to that 2020 time frame where people considered SSJ4 Gogeta better as his defense was good enough and he did far more damage. But the Gohan aged better when the bosses began to hit harder and Gogeta's defense didn't cut it anymore.
So the guy is actually saying that the Trunks/Vegeta will age better, but the anniversary units are better now as their defense isn't a problem rn and their damage is twice as good.
