This dude has just such a narrow and one sided view on what he believes that the community wants. This is clearly a case of "I play this game seriously and PvP is the only thing about this game that matters, so that means that mostly everyone else has the same opinion as me". What he doesn't get is how many players play Tarkov for the fact that it has the most complex and well put together "Gun porn" system in any video game period. Ammo, weapon mods, weapons, and healing are all quite in depth for a video game and is very satisfying niche that no other game has done or replicated at least half as good. This is the real reason that we all are here. You can be a PvPer all you want and yet other games do PvP a shitton better in each genre. You like survival games where you scavenge stuff? Play a game like Rust. You like PvP shooting? Go play Apex or Call of Duty. You want a more slow paced shooter for PvP? Go play CSGO or RS:Siege. There are much better options out there for PvP in each genre. The PvP of Tarkov is not the main focus and this is why people are migrating to PvE. You can 100% fix PvP's hackers, netcode desync, and other bullshit but it wouldn't make any difference to those who are here for just that main feature that Tarkov does so right.

I'm also not an insanely great player I'm not even bad either I'm slightly above average but I can't stand the pvp for the same reason I hate fortnite. There's already an esblished Meta that has been built for years and it's hard to integrate into that smoothly.

Iv been playing tarkov for 4 years and I can 100% tell you that I play PvE now because of how casual it is and there’s no cheaters. Also time is super important to me, PvE took me a month to get Kappa and Lightkeeper. Never had enough time to grind that stuff out in PvP. Tarkov PvP biggest problem is time invested to progress.
The biggest reason I stopped playing PvP was my time not being respected. BSG constantly makes the grind more tedious, especially mid wipe patches that only affect those that didn't no life for the first 2 week. On top of the cheaters and wipes I just don't have time to enjoy the game. The entire reason I'm having fun in PvE again is I know that no matter when I come back all my progress is still there. I've never been a fan of wiping, but the grind used to be a lot easier and slightly less painful because of it. I doubt I'll ever go back to PvP until they release 1.0. I'd be a lot more willing to put up with issues in PvP if I knew my progress wasn't going to get reset in 6 months.

i commented the same thing under pestilys video but here is my situation regadring tarkov. i am simply lacking time and energy between job and family for the grind again and again only to get head eyes by some 20hrs 50kd account. i am also very excited to actually see endgame stuff in pve now. something i never managed in pvp.
Cheaters effect this game more then other games . 1 cheater sucking up all the loot effects the hole lobby. And losing gear on top of that due to a death caused my de sync sucks and feels like a cheater but it’s not . The combo of loot cheating , de sync , radar cheats are way more common then aim bot cheats. At this point to succeed at pvp I have the rtt ping up so I know if I have peek advantage or not so I know when to engage or not .
What made me decide to get the game was the introduction of pve. Not every gamer plays multiplayer games. So I would think that this is a win for the Devs and ultimately the playerbase because those who wouldn't normally play multiplayer games would now consider buying it, like myself.
Why would I ever play a hacker ridden game mode when I can enjoy the game how I want to on my own time? Let the cheaters and streamers have their garbage game mode and leave everyone else alone.
Or they could sack up and go play actual competitive focused games that have features like skill based matchmaking, a ranking system, and player lobbies that all have the same competitive mindset. But what's the fun in that when you can hop in a PVEvPVP game like Tarkov or Sea of Thieves and go farm easy wins on casual players who you would never get paired up with in an actual PVP game.

Let's think of the discord communities. I have a smallish discord 100+ members. End of wipe the majority were playing pve and the assumption was they would come back to pvp. Some did for about a week, and then they again dissapeared to pve. So community has been divided and the pvp mode has been decimated in terms of playerbase. Even th3 official discord is about 4/1 in favour of pve. So yes, ruined for a mode no one actually asked for. I would have played a lot more but for me it's dead.
Nice video👍 enjoy playing the pve and it also helps making items on the flea market cheaper. Labs isn’t scary like the pvp labs. Only issue is a lot of people bought the unheard to get pve then bsg drops the 20 dollar buy in for it which was quite annoying

I think it is killing it because the people who hate cheaters and the ones who get farmed by Chads and rats are doing pve, myself included so those killers feel it the worst
I think it would be neat if there were PVE exclusive items that you could bring to PVP and vice versa. Nothing game breaking. If nothing else, just skins or outfits. Even better if such items were earned by making certain progress.
Why would I want to play against cheaters? Cope all you'd like, but Tarkov PvP is 90% made up of cheaters, or streamers that are cheating, cheaters that are streaming, streamers whose friends/employees are cheating to prevent the streamer from ambushing cheaters/streamers, and everything related to cheatinge , etc. Why? Because Tarkov has literally no anti-cheat. Low key wish it was on steam. VAC banning cheaters from playing an myultiplayer games end of story with hardware/account bans would be so nice for real PvP.

You are right. A lot of people do play for that reason, but that doesn't mean that people aren't leaving pvp for pve because of the reasons he gave.

I wouldn't mind PvP if i could enjoy my time using the best guns. But everytime i'm getting close to it, it wipes. No wipe in Pve is the best thing

100% this. If they hasn't put out no-wipe PVE I was going to play SPT, which i already have installed.
