She laughed and cackled as she spread throughout ruined cities and slaughtered Innocents there with a lifeless smile on her face.
I think kaito dies from illness and don't save the world in true i think is dead would be the cause that create the remnant of despair Kokichi is the leader of the remnant of despair he (and maki) has been affected by the dead of kaito and became the two first remnant of despair They tried to convert everyone but most student don't follow them So they kill the leader of the resiting student (kaede akamatsu) making everybody falls in despairs
As a Kokichi fan, this video makes me surprisingly happy, as it would be in character for him to somehow not get brainwashed and then secretly work for the good guys
Same here, however I don't think Kokichi would necessarily do it for the sake of hope, but rather see it as entertainment, treating it all like one big game that he feels compelled to win, much like how he tried to win the Killing Game by beating the Mastermind by ruining the Killing Game itself.

Okay My headcannon for Angie as a Remnant is that she would manipulate and brainwash prople to sacrifice their (and others) life for Atua😃 she did brainwash Himiko Tsumugi and Kiibo too🤷♀️

Seeing how Kaito's illness was caused by the Metero's, I would actually switched Kaito & Kaede's around and have Kaito escape the death maze but collaps dies due to not being able to find any antidote in the Death maze.

I loved how amazingly detailed this was. It's interesting that many of us are on the same page that Kaede would die & her death would lead to the others becoming remenants. Kaito & Kokichi's scenarios are super interesting & my favorites out of all of them.
It's both ironic and fitting that the Kaito & Kokichi are the only two to not fall into despair, especially considering how much Kaito & Kokichi despised one another within the Killing Game. Not to mention; despite the two not falling to despair, and both technically being on the side of hope, Kaito & Kokichi are still opposing one another in the sense that Kaito is fighting on the side of hope to save people, while Kokichi isn't necessarily fighting on the side of hope, but rather just opposing the side of despair for his own entertainment, essentially it's all one big game to Kokichi, and while he is indirectly trying to save lives, it's not necessarily his intent, just like Kokichi said himself "I want to enjoy this game filled with suspicion and betrayal from the bottom of my heart". So even though Kokichi is opposing the side of despair, he's doing so for selfish reasons; for fun, while Kaito is fighting on the side of hope for selfless reasons; to save lives.
Now imagine boss battles. Someone already did that for the real remnants: -Tenko: use cardboard cutouts of men to distract her -himeko: flash the spotlights on her (since she has stage fright) -Gonta: he throws desks at you but not before removing the enclosures, that’s when you attack -korekyo: try to convince him that you’re not fit for his sister or destroy ancient artifacts -miu: splash water everywhere to destroy her machines -ryoma: activate tennis ball throwing machines and attack him while he hits them away or attach electric handcuffs -rantaro: i actually don’t fuckin know -angie: since its a full moon (lets say that it is) she has to pray as much as possible to appease Atua, attack her during that -Kibo: using the megaphone hack him, lets say you have to finish the hacking that someone else strated -Maki:…show her pictures of kids idk man -shuichi: solve his murder mystery and remind him of kaede -Final boss: tsumugi: she will disguise as every ultimate and use their abilities (sakura’s punch, akane’s agility etc..) just fuckin kill her

Sonia,Byakuya,Aoi,and Mikan would make rantaro not suffer physically but mentally. With Sonia,she will scavenge all ways he can survive the field. Byakuya will put a lot of effort to prevent Rantaro escape from the field using his drones. Mikan would make sure of the Team Survivality and finally,Aoi will take on Rantaro 1on1 just to weaken him so Seiko and Mikan can create the dangerous Medicine to defeat Rantaro but causing Seiko have insanity. Tsumugi is gonna be done after the two are defeated since Yasuhiro will know how to deal with Tsumugi using his Crystal Ball letting everyone have their strikes timinged so Tsumugi will be exhaustezd,then they'll have to wait Seiko recover so she can finish Tsumugi for the FF

For instance, Tenko’s boss battle involves either screaming at the male protagonist or going “Join my aikido army” to the female protagonist, only to be disappointed when defeated.
I think Shuichi should also be the one to either not fall for despair, or even better - snap out of it. Just like during the course of action in V3, how he became more confident in himself, imo it would be EXTREMELY fitting if he started fighting back against the despair and overcame it in the end, and then saved the world too (JUST LIKE, SPOILER: He literally ended V3 and the whole series with it - a despair-inducing source of entertainment) My boy is a protag, of course he has to be special
For Gonta I would have imagined stuff like that he brought famine to the world by destroying crops with grasshoppers or that he transmitted serious diseases by developing mosquitoes. Things like that 😂
This video had made me want to analyse this whole thing: I LOVE HOW KOKICHI AND SHUICHI HAVE POLARISING ROLES. A casual yin and yang that represents both black lies/white lies. Anyone would believe them due to their personalities, Shuichi was once a beacon of hope at V3 so he could be trusted at the side of hope (big whoopsie for them) and Kokichi has always been not the most trusting person at all. In my personal opinion Kokichi has the most realistic portrayal on how a person experience despair and how they’re supposed to mask it. It would also be interested on how kokichi would act with both Shuichi and Kaito since they seem to hold an impact on him in the kg (basically 2/3 people he personally praised in the whole kg) Thinking about it now, it does make sense how kokichi didn’t fall to despair (or maybe not fully), regarding his relationship to Kaede. If kaede is in fact the catalyst of the despair of the V3 students it makes sense. Why? Well kokichi does in fact see kaede as an interesting and important person (1/3 people he also praise), but he’s also the one who actually sees kaede right through her, her only fte with kokichi indicates how kokichi subtly hints the flaws within her, that in some cases she didn’t really notice at all. He basically did not succumb to despair due to the fact that he can see right through it, almost exactly the same as to what he did in the kg Honestly since Tenko’s master has been a huge part of her I would also like to hc that in this au, she followed her master’s footsteps and teach other people about neo-aikido, although her training is not realistic and is already inhumane for everyone. So she basically forces her students to train till they die MAKI BEING THE LEADER THOUGH OML- I LOVE THAT SO MUCH, knowing her backstory I like to think that she would be a menacing force but also corrupt in a good way?? Okay I do sound insane but hear me out, she would be the head of many orphanages all throughout the world, pulling kids in from the people in her class kills and while in her care she would slowly spread a false sense of hope to the kids, being the “older sister” they needed in at their dire moment while slowly destroying them in the inside, creating a so called ‘family’ out of these children who would also stay loyal to her as she trains them to be assassins too, just like the world did to her as well. Also if I am not mistaken keebo said in one of his ftes that he does own harmful gadgets from his creator in which he decided to remove in the kg (the ones he has in the end of the kg are specifically upgrades that miu made if I am not mistaken?) so I also like to think he would also use them now he’s on the side of despair, and being a contrast to what he is intended to be Anyways thank you for coming to my ted talk and I definitely need a fic for this bc this au is so good oml-
Not gonna lie I could see Tenko creating a woman army. I feel she would gather/save/ influence other women who had been hurt by men & teach them Aikido. Then they''d view her as a saviour of some sorts and join her cause. But that's just me.

3:06 to add theories for what Momota and Kaede could be like as Remnants… Momota could totally use his insane knowledge of physics as well as his charisma to create traps to drive people towards despair, then finish the job with a final encouragement that despair is what they were meant for all along. Kaede could play music that would induce feelings of awful tragedy and painful apathy in people’s hearts to encourage them to give up.
I love Kaedes bit because of how ironic it is. Kaede used to spread feelings of happiness and hope to others from her large faith in humanity, but as a remanent, she does the exact opposite; spreading depression and despair making people LOOSE faith in humanity
Kaede shows up at movie theaters for movie's where at some point a character in the movie is playing the piano and she'll be overly vocal about how the keys they are playing wouldn't produce the sound that's being heard which would annoy everyone into leaving. Miu builds a bunch of sex robots to go around lewding people. Angie takes inspiration from the Seed family from Far Cry 5. Korekiyo hosts his own All-Girls Killing Games to determine who amongst the survivors are most deserving for him to kill so they can be his sister's friends. Gonta amasses an army of bugs and has them eat people. Keebo becomes the Terminator and goes back in time to kill Makoto Naegi's mom before she can have him. Makoto's Naegi's dad goes back in time to stop Keebo. Ryoma goes around murdering people (usually Yakuza, random thugs, juvenile delinquents) with tennis balls. Kaito goes to space and brings back aliens to have them take over the planet. Tenko kills men and kidnaps cute smol girls to make them part of her har- protect them from the disgusting degenerate males of the world. Tsumugi shows up at anime conventions in a bikini for the cosplay contests and wins easily because the judges are horny bastards who'd prefer seeing a girl in a bikini win over someone who actually put effort into the cosplay. Maki burns down orphanages all across the world. Rantaro mashes people into avocados. Kirumi makes it a crime punishable by death to call any woman who isn't your biological mother mommy. Kokichi becomes a tyrannical dictator of some random country in order to be an actual Supreme Leader. Himiko reveals the secrets of other magicians to drive them to commit sudoku out of despair. Shuichi writes a bunch of really gripping mystery novels that leave you unsatisfied and pissed off by how crappy the twist at the end were.
Mia would hack the systems and broadcast *three* *mobile* *game* *Ads* on every online device on the world every time they enter any app or video. It would cause true *DESPAIR*
Id like to think if rantaro was an ultimate despair, he'd be running his own games and playing in it for the fun of it, and ultimately ending it always with him being the mastermind

I was especially intrigued by the K1-BO redesign (the peaceful robot transformed into a living weapon) and Kokichi's casting as the mole. At first I expected him to the leader of the Remnants, but I forgot he's essentially a contrarian who lives to mess with people's plans.

For example, she could cosplay as Byakuya to throw genocide jack off course and get her to submit. Or she could cosplay as Aoi and trick Sakura to get her to fall into despair
Now I want to write something where all of them are remnants of despair except for Kokichi. Everyone else agreed to enter the killing game with the goal of infecting Kokichi with despair after Junko (and the video she originally used to spread despair) was gone. To spread despair on a wider scale, each of the remnants’ minds were wiped to make lovable people that were broadcast dying horrifically. This was a way of emulating the Hope’s Peak students dying in the original tragedy and the THH killing game. But the killing game didn’t work as intended. It actually reverted all the remnants back to themselves just like in DR2. Everyone organizing assumed regular teenagers couldn’t have the willpower of Izuru Kamakuru/Hajime Hinata and Hope’s Peak Students. That group chose to change, which no one expected these normal kids to do with no idea they had to consciously choose. But that was a severe underestimation. And then Kokichi, just like in this video, would pretend to finally succumb to despair. All the others would be so lost from returning to normalcy after despair already. Then Kokichi hops on his despair bullshit, and even more guilt trickles in. (And fear. So much fear. The gremlin is insane when he’s normal, so what the fuck is his despair self going to be like?) But the guilt completely overrides that. Kaito, Maki, and Miu are hit the hardest first. Maki and Miu both tried to kill him. But it hits Kaito the worst because he let Kokichi subject himself to his own last straw. Kaito would immediately take the blame and want to protect everyone even more than normally. Kaede would be despair like the rest but would feel the same as she did when she (thought she) killed Rantaro. She’d blame herself and essentially be suicidal in her efforts to protect everyone else. Kaede’s way of attempting to prevent conflict by protecting the others and refusing to hurt him in the process is what tips Kokichi off to her no longer being under the effects of despair. He’s able to see it in the others too. Shuichi would also have his own guilt which translates to emo boy depression time. He knows he had a direct impact on Kokichi’s stability. After spending so much time with him (assuming FTEs are canon) and becoming close, he betrayed Kokichi when he took the mastermind bait and told Kokichi no one wanted to be around him, he was alone, and he always would be. Then Kokichi does some shenanigans that helps get the whole class away from despair. And with Kaito + Kaede leadership and sidekick Shuichi being drug along on top of it.
My headcanons Kaede Akamatsu as a remnant is that she brainwashed and maniplated her victims and play her piano to fill the people with despair. Rantaro Amami as a remnant is that he brainwashed his OWN 12 sisters. Kirumi Tojo as a remnant is that maniplated her victims with despair to kill and forces her vitcims to do chores without food, water and not even taking a break, they have to this until they die. 3:32 let’s goooo Kokichi would never be a Remnant! But if he was, as the Supreme Leader he could play along with the Future Foundation as the spy among them, like Yukizome. Maybe even most of his classmates would be unaware of his despairing status, but he’s able to get messages to Shuichi or Toujo. At the same time; he could screw up FF missions in unnoticed ways and also incite the Remnants to even further action in critical moments.
My headcanon for remnant Shuichi is that he dosen't care about justice.He still despises lies but he wants to bring the truth that this world can't be saved. (SPOILER WARNING FOR MASTER DETECTIVE ARCHIVES RAINCODE!) Also... Another headcanon for this au is that it's connected after events the Master Detective Archives:Raincode(i mean,DR and Raincode Are made by Spike Chunsoft,right?)I have a feeling that the WDO and Future Foundation would team up to save the world.The WDO will investigate and the Future Foundation(including Kaito and Kokichi) will try and stop the remnants. (Ok now heres the spoiler part,read if you want) Since Number One left WDO to travel and solve the worlds mysteries,He was nearly slaughtered by the remnants but he managed to get away.He decided to investigate too,in secret.Shuichi and the remnants never saw Number One was helping the foundation and WDO. Overall,i like this idea of the v3 remnants!
I honestly think that Kaito dies and Maki and Shuichi are affected by it and becomes the first 2 despairs than try to get people in despair but doesn’t work so they kill Kaede and they all fall into despair. But. Kaito is actually alive and saves the day. I would honestly like that

Ngl, I think Kokichi was done a Lil' Dirty here I think he would have the Same Objective as Kaito, but easily Distrusting his Friends (Also assuming KH was another NWP where the Flashback lights were their Lives before they became Remnants and that the KG happened After they were Remnants, Mirroring Class 77) he wouldn't Appear like it, Acting among them in Order to Ascertain Information on their Current States of Mind whilst Inflicting Harm on a Scale, Committing Lesser Atrocities like Destruction of Property (Possibly even ensuring it's Less Occupied Buildings) whilst keeping Murder to a Minimum. He's Logical, Rational, and Motivated, I would think he too wants to Save his Friends but Knows he can't do that without a Bit (or moreso Excessive level) of Chaos to Convince them, he's not an Idiot. Out of all the character's headcanon, I personally think kokochi fit the most, since in the game he was already incredibly fucked up to the point he's basically a remnant of despair, even though his actions are that of a remnant of despair his purpose was the complete opposite, therefore I believe that even when kokochi succumbs in despair he'll still play around and backstab the remnant of despair, just like how he made everyone believe he was the mastermind of the game while actually plotting to end it

I made one, and I said that everyone succumbed to despair, except Shuichi, Maki, Kaito, Kokichi and Rantaro, although later they would fall into despair, due to the murder of Kaede(It's like the Chiaki of my au,and in my au, Danganronpa v3 is not a virtual world)
Spoilers: In the 6th chapter Kiibo wants to destroy the academy because he was convinced it was nothing more than a hopeless place that induces despair, so I imagine that a a remnant he would have a similar take to Nagito except instead of being the despair that inspires a stronger hope, he wants to destroy all despair in the world, by destroying cities or people that had fallen into despair, ironically provoking more despair

Not to mention; despite the two not falling to despair, and both technically being on the side of hope, Kaito & Kokichi are still opposing one another in the sense that Kaito is fighting on the side of hope to save people, while Kokichi isn't necessarily fighting on the side of hope, but rather just opposing the side of despair for his own entertainment, essentially it's all one big game to Kokichi, and while he is indirectly trying to save lives, it's not necessarily his intent, just like Kokichi said himself "I want to enjoy this game filled with suspicion and betrayal from the bottom of my heart".
So even though Kokichi is opposing the side of despair, he's doing so for selfish reasons; for fun, while Kaito is fighting on the side of hope for selfless reasons; to save lives.

-miu: splash water everywhere to destroy her machines
-ryoma: activate tennis ball throwing machines and attack him while he hits them away or attach electric handcuffs

-angie: since its a full moon (lets say that it is) she has to pray as much as possible to appease Atua, attack her during that
-Kibo: using the megaphone hack him, lets say you have to finish the hacking that someone else strated

-shuichi: solve his murder mystery and remind him of kaede
-Final boss: tsumugi: she will disguise as every ultimate and use their abilities (sakura’s punch, akane’s agility etc..) just fuckin kill her

Mikan would make sure of the Team Survivality and finally,Aoi will take on Rantaro 1on1 just to weaken him so Seiko and Mikan can create the dangerous Medicine to defeat Rantaro but causing Seiko have insanity. Tsumugi is gonna be done after the two are defeated since Yasuhiro will know how to deal with Tsumugi using his Crystal Ball letting everyone have their strikes timinged so Tsumugi will be exhaustezd,then they'll have to wait Seiko recover so she can finish Tsumugi for the FF

For instance, Tenko’s boss battle involves either screaming at the male protagonist or going “Join my aikido army” to the female protagonist, only to be disappointed when defeated.
I think Shuichi should also be the one to either not fall for despair, or even better - snap out of it. Just like during the course of action in V3, how he became more confident in himself, imo it would be EXTREMELY fitting if he started fighting back against the despair and overcame it in the end, and then saved the world too (JUST LIKE, SPOILER: He literally ended V3 and the whole series with it - a despair-inducing source of entertainment)

This video had made me want to analyse this whole thing:
I LOVE HOW KOKICHI AND SHUICHI HAVE POLARISING ROLES. A casual yin and yang that represents both black lies/white lies. Anyone would believe them due to their personalities, Shuichi was once a beacon of hope at V3 so he could be trusted at the side of hope (big whoopsie for them) and Kokichi has always been not the most trusting person at all. In my personal opinion Kokichi has the most realistic portrayal on how a person experience despair and how they’re supposed to mask it.
It would also be interested on how kokichi would act with both Shuichi and Kaito since they seem to hold an impact on him in the kg (basically 2/3 people he personally praised in the whole kg)
Thinking about it now, it does make sense how kokichi didn’t fall to despair (or maybe not fully), regarding his relationship to Kaede. If kaede is in fact the catalyst of the despair of the V3 students it makes sense. Why? Well kokichi does in fact see kaede as an interesting and important person (1/3 people he also praise), but he’s also the one who actually sees kaede right through her, her only fte with kokichi indicates how kokichi subtly hints the flaws within her, that in some cases she didn’t really notice at all. He basically did not succumb to despair due to the fact that he can see right through it, almost exactly the same as to what he did in the kg
Honestly since Tenko’s master has been a huge part of her I would also like to hc that in this au, she followed her master’s footsteps and teach other people about neo-aikido, although her training is not realistic and is already inhumane for everyone. So she basically forces her students to train till they die
MAKI BEING THE LEADER THOUGH OML- I LOVE THAT SO MUCH, knowing her backstory I like to think that she would be a menacing force but also corrupt in a good way?? Okay I do sound insane but hear me out, she would be the head of many orphanages all throughout the world, pulling kids in from the people in her class kills and while in her care she would slowly spread a false sense of hope to the kids, being the “older sister” they needed in at their dire moment while slowly destroying them in the inside, creating a so called ‘family’ out of these children who would also stay loyal to her as she trains them to be assassins too, just like the world did to her as well.
Also if I am not mistaken keebo said in one of his ftes that he does own harmful gadgets from his creator in which he decided to remove in the kg (the ones he has in the end of the kg are specifically upgrades that miu made if I am not mistaken?) so I also like to think he would also use them now he’s on the side of despair, and being a contrast to what he is intended to be

I love Kaedes bit because of how ironic it is. Kaede used to spread feelings of happiness and hope to others from her large faith in humanity, but as a remanent, she does the exact opposite; spreading depression and despair making people LOOSE faith in humanity

Now I want to write something where all of them are remnants of despair except for Kokichi.
Everyone else agreed to enter the killing game with the goal of infecting Kokichi with despair after Junko (and the video she originally used to spread despair) was gone. To spread despair on a wider scale, each of the remnants’ minds were wiped to make lovable people that were broadcast dying horrifically. This was a way of emulating the Hope’s Peak students dying in the original tragedy and the THH killing game.
But the killing game didn’t work as intended.
It actually reverted all the remnants back to themselves just like in DR2. Everyone organizing assumed regular teenagers couldn’t have the willpower of Izuru Kamakuru/Hajime Hinata and Hope’s Peak Students. That group chose to change, which no one expected these normal kids to do with no idea they had to consciously choose. But that was a severe underestimation.
And then Kokichi, just like in this video, would pretend to finally succumb to despair. All the others would be so lost from returning to normalcy after despair already. Then Kokichi hops on his despair bullshit, and even more guilt trickles in. (And fear. So much fear. The gremlin is insane when he’s normal, so what the fuck is his despair self going to be like?) But the guilt completely overrides that. Kaito, Maki, and Miu are hit the hardest first. Maki and Miu both tried to kill him. But it hits Kaito the worst because he let Kokichi subject himself to his own last straw. Kaito would immediately take the blame and want to protect everyone even more than normally.
Kaede would be despair like the rest but would feel the same as she did when she (thought she) killed Rantaro. She’d blame herself and essentially be suicidal in her efforts to protect everyone else. Kaede’s way of attempting to prevent conflict by protecting the others and refusing to hurt him in the process is what tips Kokichi off to her no longer being under the effects of despair. He’s able to see it in the others too.
Shuichi would also have his own guilt which translates to emo boy depression time. He knows he had a direct impact on Kokichi’s stability. After spending so much time with him (assuming FTEs are canon) and becoming close, he betrayed Kokichi when he took the mastermind bait and told Kokichi no one wanted to be around him, he was alone, and he always would be.
Then Kokichi does some shenanigans that helps get the whole class away from despair. And with Kaito + Kaede leadership and sidekick Shuichi being drug along on top of it.
Do this for the danganronpa 1 characters

Kaede Akamatsu as a remnant is that she brainwashed and maniplated her victims and play her piano to fill the people with despair.
Rantaro Amami as a remnant is that he brainwashed his OWN 12 sisters.
Kirumi Tojo as a remnant is that maniplated her victims with despair to kill and forces her vitcims to do chores without food, water and not even taking a break, they have to this until they die.

I think he would have the Same Objective as Kaito, but easily Distrusting his Friends (Also assuming KH was another NWP where the Flashback lights were their Lives before they became Remnants and that the KG happened After they were Remnants, Mirroring Class 77) he wouldn't Appear like it, Acting among them in Order to Ascertain Information on their Current States of Mind whilst Inflicting Harm on a Scale, Committing Lesser Atrocities like Destruction of Property (Possibly even ensuring it's Less Occupied Buildings) whilst keeping Murder to a Minimum. He's Logical, Rational, and Motivated, I would think he too wants to Save his Friends but Knows he can't do that without a Bit (or moreso Excessive level) of Chaos to Convince them, he's not an Idiot.
Ultimately though, I think he'd likely get Found out by Shuichi and become a Victim to Tragedy and have an Observer Clone of him in the System like with AI Kaede

I view him as Logical and Deductive, whilst still Caring about his Friends

It's Obvious Necessary Sacrifices had to be made, and that Logical Commitment whilst Isolating himself because he has to Appear the Goofy Villain makes it hard for me not to Admire Him
He's not Callous, He's Calculated, Every Death Weighed on him as much as it did the others, but he's not Stupid Enough to Let that Slow him down when Time is of the Essence
That's why I Respect Kokichi, although I Generally like Tragic Characters and ones like Metaknight who don't seem good from the First Angle you get, but with Enough Information you're able to see Another

Out of all the character's headcanon, I personally think kokochi fit the most, since in the game he was already incredibly fucked up to the point he's basically a remnant of despair, even though his actions are that of a remnant of despair his purpose was the complete opposite, therefore I believe that even when kokochi succumbs in despair he'll still play around and backstab the remnant of despair, just like how he made everyone believe he was the mastermind of the game while actually plotting to end it

In the 6th chapter Kiibo wants to destroy the academy because he was convinced it was nothing more than a hopeless place that induces despair, so I imagine that a a remnant he would have a similar take to Nagito except instead of being the despair that inspires a stronger hope, he wants to destroy all despair in the world, by destroying cities or people that had fallen into despair, ironically provoking more despair
