10/10 is one of my all-time favourite types of transitions, dude. From a ship, with the subtle uplifting music, to the instant drowning out and pull into reality. Phenomenal.
Everything about the bile titan was phenomenal, especially the sound. It evokes genuine fear and awe whenever it's on screen, and the way you place the camera makes the helldiver seem small, yet strong. I wish I could say the rest stands up as well as this does, and while it's not bad, not by a long shot, the opening shots, the camera work, and the ungodly majesty of the bile titan set the bar really high, and some of the following shots just can't reach that level I feel. The priming of the stratagem ball is done very well, especially the subtle camera focus change to the bile titan's reaction, and the bugs' reactions thereafter. However once he pulls out the senator (excellent choice of sidearm btw) it feels like the weight of the animation is gone. The gun appears like a toy, like it has no weight, and the recoil impulse appears performative, and while I know it's difficult to convey character when the face is obscured, the character's movements seem robotic and unnatural. Overall, one of the best animations I've seen, and you're clearly incredibly talented, however the sequence from 1:33 to 1:48 just feels like you've compromised in places. I hope I've done the service of making my criticism constructive, and I can't wait to see what you do next!
I think a bit more extension in the arm, and some rigidity in the stance to imply that the Helldiver is bracing for the recoil may help with the floaty feel when they're firing at the bug
I would expand on this by pointing out the torso and shoulders felt really stiff which is likely the majority if the floaty feel we get from the arms but not all. everything else I completely agree with @allenkennedy99 great animation and talent.
The slow exposition, then sudden visual and audio transition at 0:58 immediately followed by the titan reveal is straight out of a hollywood movie holy crap, legit gave me chills

Your story telling without word is absolute perfection to anyone in the know. Thank you for this absolute gem of a small look into the helldivers life.
The little pockets being squished as the diver walks, the shadows on the dust, the small chunks of dirt falling as the titan rises, the scratches and terminid blood on the armor, the lighting even! It's insane how much attention detail is in this short film and it deserves so much more attention
idk why it took youtube 4 months to get me this suggested to me but my god you did really well with it, the accuracy of movement, the hunters movement, the bile titan being so foreboding, the fact that you have the end mission just silently going up.. man, I hope you did the Automaton version of this cause I'd love that lol
So glad we left the “every Helldiver has 15 mins of training” cause pretty much all of them now are seasoned vets of the war, especially with the commandos getting deployed.
The animation of the bugs was straight up brilliant. I think the aiming and firing movement of the helldiver was a little stiff in comparison but overall very well done
We've all had this moment... and today it was my turn. I felt terrible... i called myself the "jumpdivers support battaglion" because i would always deploy to help my bröthers in battle... but today i tried a harser difficulty... i cannot describe the amount of rage and terror i felt when i found myself in front of 3 bile titans, 2 chargers and another couple of the kraken bugs... wished i had already unlocked the railgun by then... maybe i could've been more useful... Im lucky that the guy i was "supporting" was pretty chill, we even became friends.
