Some people don't like the first half of this series and say it gets good in the second half... I disagree, I actually love the first half, but in the second half it becomes a masterpiece.
Also I must say, Steins;Gate really fits for your kind of reactions where more than half of the video is discussion, really makes it much more interesting than most reaction channels.
I loved everything about it First part is like a mystery anime and you KNOW nobody would make a plot out of this with no payoff so something would definitely happen eventually.
I think it depends on how long and how much anime you watch. To be honest, I didn't really like the first half either, but when I re-watched it I liked it because I understood the jokes and the context of what they said
I think I know why I didn't like the first half that much, cuz I watched it when I was a kid, kids didn't like build-up 🤣and want to go straight to drama and action right away, also maybe lacking knowledge too
Christina is actually just a nickname that Okabe thought of for Kurisu. Think of it this way, Kurisu-tina. There are also other examples with Mayuri Shiina -> Mayu-Shii and HashiDa ItaRu -> Da-Ru, lastly Okabe Rintaro -> Oka-Rin. Okabe is also really fond of using nicknames, so that's why he addresses almost everyone close to him with a nickname. e.g Ruka -> Rukako
By the way, in Japan there is a surname called 栗栖(Kurisu), which has its roots in the Heian period about 1100 years ago, but the first name クリス(Kurisu) is not common lol
I think some people overlook that because Okabe's nicknames for everyone is just their real names tossed but still uses most of the original letters, yet Makise's is simply another name. It also probably doesn't help that she is Japanese and it's a western name (even if she is American by citizenship). I know "Kurisutina" joke but the Christina spelling and the language barrier doesn't help. Admittedly it took me a while to click with it.
@@TechnoArpan Even more in the visual novel, the characters are fans of a lot of "changed for copyright" famous anime, and they often quote stuff like Death Note and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (Or as it's known in the S;G universe, JuJu's Bizarre Adventure). In fact almost all the Future Gadgets from 1 to 7 are anime references.
idk if you've realized this by now, but the "WW3 in 2015" thing is actually from Okabe messaging this worldline's John Titor about what he remembers about John Titor from 2000 (when John Titor gave Okabe his *email* address, not his actual address haha). So the WW3 stuff is what 2000 John Titor said. This worldline's John Titor hasn't said anything about WW3, only about dystopia.
I once had a t-shirt with the silhouettes of Okabe and Kurisu posing together in their lab coats in this episode with some gears turning behind them and it was one of my favorite pieces of clothing I ever had Sadly, it died in the washer at some point after a few years... xD
This is quite possibly my favorite anime of all time, and I've seen a few haha. Seeing the first time reactions are great and watching y'all try to logic things out is pretty fun too. Let your brains stretch and minds explode as the series goes on 😄
If only those subtitles would let them on irony of him scaring Kurisu with yelling "I told you to call me Phoenix of Disaster!" and episode ending on him seducing her into meddling with disastrous things...
I guess they have some sort of theory going into this about her dad. Well it's a fun theory but the reason I never looked that it like that is because it would be weird as their interactions haven't been the most appropriate.
Lo bueno de este anime es que si bien es un poco lento al principio, solo va de mejor en mejor, la tension con la que termina cada capitulo es mayor que el anterior tuturuuuuuuu
I love your channel and very happy when you watched this series, but For me, it has a slow start and a bit confusing, so if you watch it in this order, the timeline will be clearer. Step 1: Steins;Gate ss1 (2011) watch episodes 1 to 22. DO NOT watch episodes 23, 24 and 25 Step 2: Watch Steins;Gate: Kyoukaimenjou no Missing Link - Divide By Zero (2015) Step 3: Watch Steins;Gate 0 - ss2 (2018) Step 4: Go back to ss1 to watch 3 episodes 23 24 25 Step 5: Watch the movie Steins;Gate: The Movie − Load Region of Déjà Vu (2013) The series about time travel has the same way of viewing as time travel. Wish you have a nice journey ^_^
This is one of the worst suggestions ever, along with "play Metal Gear Solid in in-universe chronological order" and "just skip unwanted parts of JoJo". Also, Déjà Vu movie is trash and I hate it.
@@PredatoryQQmber I respect your opinion but for some people who like the continuity of the timeline (like me), this is still an option that makes it easier for them to understand the series. Besides, without the Déjà Vu movie, the series wouldn't be complete, so depending on each person's feelings, the movie is still ok for me.
@@nguyenbaotran6120 Good, honourable answer. But, from my experience, at the ending point season 1 is plenty understandable already as self-contained story and movie cheapens the well executed and paced struggle of the endings with some unwarranted drama by going from sci-fi to fantasy too much. Although, I don't remember the details at this point.
As someone who play the VN before watching the anime, this is one of the most trash suggestion ive ever seen ngl, and ive been seeing ts posted on different reactors channels, just watch in chronological order like everybody else in 2010 lmao its not that deep

Not sure if anyone else has brought it up, but John Titor looking for the IBM is a real life urban legend / hoax not something made up for the show.
A lot of stuff in the show is based on real things. SERN from CERN, the LHC is real, etc.

we need 2 episodes a week pls🥹
my mans speaking absolute facts!
I am so fucking excited for you two to react to the rest of the show. Fuck

I am always surprised by the amount you guy discuss after the episode, I wonder how can you keep up
I would have ran of things to talk about
MASTERPIECE
I think Mayuri has the same voice actress as the Love Hashira from the new season of demon slayer, they sound nearly identical
Not only Mayushii, but Okarin and Daru's voice actors also appear in DS.
