I would love videos about starter locs! I am one month into semi freeform locs, i started by twists. I am so excited for them but haven’t created a specific regimen just yet. Specific products are unavailable due to my country as well. This was helpful for me to understand the difference in maintenance as the journey progresses !
I see you're using Dr. Bronners in the video. Do you also use any other shampoo to follow it? I find that the Dr. Bronners leaves a white cast on my locs but it still cleans well, so I like to use it for my first wash. However, I'm trying to find a different shampoo to follow it with to get rid of the white cast.
Yes I love Dr Bronner’s! I agree it cleans my locs well and I don’t experience the white cast so most time it’s just that and I’m done or, if I need to add some moisture I’ll follow up with a conditioner but no not another shampoo.
For me it took 3 years, I did a quick google search and it says 15-18 months sooo im going to go ahead and say it depends on each individual and how compacted the hairs are in your locs, the looser the more baby locs they are the more compact are the more mature. I hope that helps
