I literally say this everytime when a post on Twitter ask who's your favorite/best shonen MC or female character, I say Kiana Kaslana and everybody always say "who's that?" or "what?", it's really annoying how the fandom/series is still small/unknown😭

Kiana's story is actually sad. She's not a real human, but an artificially-made being. Yet her story's growth and development is essentially an artificial being trying to obtain the one thing they can never have, humanity. Except in Kiana's case, she actually does get it. Kiana tells everyone in her early days she will one day become the strongest valkyrie. For no specific purpose or reason, she wanted to be the best.
Kiana isn't a clone though... As you could see all the other clones failed since they didn't had a soul. Sirin is Kiana, since she does have her soul and memories now. It was just that Otto also cleaned her memories once she woke up.

I cant even see this perspective. She always had humanity, her journey doesnt really support the idea that she has to obtain it via character growth, she had it from chapter 1 onwards. i love the subtle change kiana got in each core she is given. Sirin/HoV core makes her hair long straight from braided, like indicating she's now free, with Bronya she's got the hairpiece for her hair and earrings, with FuHua she''s given a pair of gloves and upgraded the blade, and finally with Himeko she's got the wing and the fiery cloak

Legacy is a tough thing to define. Many people would logically assume that Himeko's legacy is carried by that sword, or even the Core of Flamescion. They'd be wrong though. The legacy of Murata Himeko is Kiana Kaslana. Not a sword, not even the Herrscher of Flamescion, but the girl who can carry on even when she is gone, and keep the world safe in ways even she couldn't. Kiana's will to move forward is why Himeko can rest in peace, the living legacy of the woman who never gave up on her, not to the very end. The girl who can choose how this story ends.
True. But the thing is that Herrscher cores can contain the souls of Herrschers, and guess who was the Herrscher of Flame over 50000 years ago? It was more or less confirmed that PE Himeko helped current Himeko during that fight against Sirin, since VKE was so badly damaged the core containment ruptured when Himeko destroyed the black hole. Himeko's body lost all signs of active Honkai corruption after Sirin was defeated, meaning that the "ghost" Kiana has been seeing may have actually been her Himeko, stored in the Core of Haste. After all, it was pointed out that Kiana had three cores, but only two of them, Void and Thunder, were ever named. It could be that Sirin absorbed the Core of Haste just before the injection was pumped into Kiana's body.
@@Grace-oi4by apparently, she does have it, but considering how much Otto has sacrificed for the Herrscher of Death to appear, I cannot fathom why he put it in Kiana, or why he didn't turn the world upside down to get her back. My best guess is he figured the HoV, who seems to be the most potentially powerful Herrscher of this era, was a good "safe" to store the core he's most interested in. The other part that bothers me is that Kiana cannot seem to tap into it, same with HoV, suggesting something is seriously wrong with the Gem of Serenity.
@@Michael_Breiter Apparently, there is a difference between the gems that Kiana had and her Herrscher core. These gems were given to Sirin by the Will of Honkai and were basically weaker versions of the herrscher cores. The gems aren’t technically herrscher gems, but with enough Honkai energy it would change into one.

Besides, she had access to the Gem of Serenity before, and quite enjoyed its power, so you'd think she'd awaken it as well after she nabbed the Conquest Gem, which she did awaken. She practically awoke Conquest the moment she took it, so what was wrong with Serenity, which she had from the moment she awoke? We know Serenity was active, since its energy was helping Void and Conquest corrupt Kiana's body, so why can't Kiana or Sirin use a functional Gem? There is no rogue Herrscher draining it like Reason or Sentience, so why doean't it work?

CN animation companies can pump out even better animatics (2D mind you) in quicker time periods, you wanna know why? Their funding. CN studios have way too much money in their hands, the animators are paid well and respectively in comparison to other JP studios. So in summary, if mihoyo wanted to, they can indeed rival other companies with the amount of funding they currently have thanks to genshin.

I only just watched the Himeko short, and I literally broke out in tears when she appeared in that last scene. I was like " Why am I crying, I only just saw her die yesterday!" Thats when you know you've made a great story, when a rando can watch 2 shorts and instantly be emotionally connected xD

Of course she did. After she defeated HoV the narration say that her memories as Sirin is flowing into her. So at the end of act1 she got back her memories as Sirin... And probably the memories as HoV.
I just realized something, imagine if HoD showed up when Kiana was at her lowest point in life? HoD would've most likely won and controlled Kiana by using her despair, but sadly for her; she showed up after Kiana's development and Kiana easily deflected off HoD's manipulation. So HoD will go down as an interesting and strong villian, but she came in the story at the wrong time.

It's shown easily: Sirin was goofy and had all kinds of emotion even love for Benares and her friends or Cecilia. Sirin had the same character as Kiana (as she's is basically Kiana) , HoV nothing of that. Even if they say they were equal to me Kiana is considered to be the real Sirin.
No, not at all. I think hod being introduced where she was was actuslly the best time and I would not have wanted her to appear any sooner or later. HoD was a test. For Bronya, Fu Hua, Seele and Kiana, to see if what they have learnt up until this point has actually meant something. Does Bronya deserve to have the Core of Reason, dies she have what it takes to be the new herrscher of reason and strip AE of its most powerful assets. Does Seele actually trust velonia or is she losing sight of her closest friend. How has Sentience impacted Fu Hua and how can she move forward without Fenghuang Down. And Kiana, is her continuously struggling to contain hov worth it or should she confront her and settle it once and for all. All of these are things that are only brought up, because of the manipulation of HoD, after all of them have had really big character moments.

This is my thoughts about kiana: ngl my first impression was "Oh she's carefree" then ... until Will of herrscher happen and everything change,we lost the major Himeko, the most heartbreaking is in the flashback when Kiana ask to Himeko "if i'm become in a monster/honkai beast you will kill me?" then himeko said: "that will never happen sugarplum" in Arc city Kiana was lost in the dark, running away, even tried suicide but fu hua(fenhuang down) stop her, Himeko appears and tell her "what are you waiting for" kiana understand that and becomes void drifter. She saves Arc city from project stygma sacrificing herself, the cost by that is the honkai infection. In nagazora's arc she understand is just a clone but Mei can't accept that and her imminent death due to the infection,then mei becomes the herrscher of thunder for save her. Kiana lost her friend. in Fu Hua's arc Hua said: "this is my mission" before sealed herself with HoS, Kiana finally understand sacrifice yourself for the victory it's unacceptable like she did in nagazora's arc while running away, Kiana broke the seal and saves hua. HoDom's arc is just.... the closing of the 2nd act of the whole story, Kiana accept herself as Sirin and carrying her sins, she accept Himeko's death and will carry her legacy, Kiana has grown captains, fighting for the beautiful things on this world as the lyrics said, Brighter than tomorrow and yesterday and ending this story the way she want. I WILL EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED! Newbie player here who has completed the story so far. Not everyone has time to play HI3, much less do the long story of HI3 so I will provide some notes to help people get some context to this beautiful animation. (SPOILERS BELOW) 0:05 - Where is she? How did we get to this point? 1. We are in the Theatre of Domination which is in the Imaginary Realm. It is a dimension created by the Herrscher of Domination (HoD, enemy in this short). Kiana and the rest were trapped in this Theatre and are now fighting to defeat the HoD. 2. Players fought a big boss battle to get to this point. Working together, Kiana, Bronya, and Fu Hua sought to defeat HoD only for Bronya and Hua to get captured. What about Mei? You know that in Lament of the Fallen, she parted ways with Kiana and joined another faction. Nevertheless, the HoD is a common enemy and Mei's participation is in weakening the HoD which she was successful in doing. Now it's all up to Kiana. 0:25 - 0:29 - "Without the power of a Herrscher, you're only a runt." 1. HoD's main method of destroying humanity is by instilling and instigating negative emotions within humans. It breaks them down mentally and controls them like puppets. HoD's main target is Kiana because if they are able to destroy Kiana's mind and heart, they will be able to bring out Sirin. I will explain. 2. There are two personalities within Kiana. The first is the Kiana we know of and the second is Sirin, who is the original Herrscher of the Void. We see Sirin in Befall and Final Lesson - yes, that's Sirin, NOT Kiana! Sirin loathes humanity and wishes to destroy it. The story arc of Kiana has been a clash of wills - Sirin wishes to take control and fulfill her mission of annihilating humanity and Kiana is in the way. 3. Meanwhile, Kiana has been weak-willed. She was overcome in Befall and Final Lesson, needing Himeko's sacrifice to suppress Sirin. In Diane's Sojourn we see her broken and struggling. Sirin is suppressed but it was only a matter of time until Kiana breaks and HoV returns. In Meteoric Salvation, Kiana finds her resolve and promises Himeko that she will "change how the story ends." In Lament of the Fallen, Mei and Kiana have a clash of interests. Mei hates seeing Kiana sacrificing herself for humanity and found that the only solution to saving her is to become a Herrscher. Although Kiana has found her goal, she continues to willfully suppress Sirin at the cost of her failing health. Suppressing the Herrscher powers is detrimental to her body and is slowly killing her. Note that Kiana at this point had THREE Herrscher gems/cores. She has the HoV core, gem of serenity, and gem of conquest. Mei turning into the Herrscher of Thunder is due to her taking Kiana's gem of conquest, thus saving Kiana's life since there's one less corrupting power within her. 4. Thus, the HoD repeatedly states biting remarks at Kiana's foolish struggle to survive. It tells her that she does not deserve to live because so many people keep sacrificing themselves (Himeko, Mei, her parents, etc.) to protect her, who is a Herrscher that will destroy humanity. She is a clone whose original purpose was to merely become a vessel for Sirin. Without her Herrscher powers she's useless. 5. But the HoD is wrong. Kiana at this point has become more mature and will not bow down to their words. In chapter 25, Kiana and Sirin once again clashed and Kiana came out on top for good. Furthermore, players are treated to once again meeting Himeko, for the last time. After beating Sirin and mastering the HoV powers Kiana meets with a fragment of Himeko's memories and the two catch up and later bid farewell for the final time. Kiana has learned to move on and walk her own path, which was paved by her beloved Himeko. 0:54 - 0:59, 1:16 - This shows Kiana's mastery over the HoV powers, she tries to cut the strings holding her friends. 1:44- 2:06 - Again, HoD tries to break Kiana 2:07- 2:27 - "Now it's my turn to do what I gotta do. To tell them, that they made the right choice." 1. This has always been one of the main issues for Kiana. When a Herrscher manifests, the normal solution would be to kill them. However, Himeko and Kiana's friends chose not to and this resulted in so many sacrifices. A lot of humans died in the months after Final Lesson and people continued to die because of the Honkai summoned by HoV. The guilt was so strong that Kiana tried to kill herself prior to Meteoric Salvation but Hua refused to give up on her. Mei even chose to become a Herrscher just for Kiana. Now she wants to show them that they made the right choice. 2:34 - "My turn now. Hope you're fine with that!" 1. Himeko said a similar line in Final Lesson. 2. The sword Kiana uses is Himeko's sword, Surtr. 3:12 - Bronya lends her Herrscher of Reason (HoR) powers to Kiana. 3:17 - A Herrscher gem appears on Surtr. Here begins Kiana's transformation! 3:20 - Her left eye has the same design as Bronya's eyes when she's in HoR form. 3:55 - 4:05 - "She changed me....I want to live till that day happens." 1. The feather is the Fenghuang Down. It's a Divine Key made from a Herrscher. 2. Hua has lived for thousands of years. Her body is modified such that she basically doesn't die a natural death. Her story is shown in Shattered Samsara where Kiana chooses to save Hua from sacrificing herself. 4:05 - Three gems (HoV, gem of haste, gem of serenity). These are all the gems within Kiana, showing that she now has control of all her Herrscher powers. However, she's not Sirin, so she will become a new Herrscher. 4:39 - Her new core manifests. This is the representation of the Herrscher of Flamescion core! Notice as well how the Surtr has become something else entirely, showing how Kiana's progress. 4:50 - damn. 5:44 - 5:52 - Himeko's dead guys, let's move on like Kiana. While she may be dead, her legacy lives on in Kiana.
@ՇԼყ Seelecon I disagree. This is one of the most misunderstood parts of the scene so I'll explaij in more detail. The only core Kiana had at the time is the Void core because it's hers and Sirin's. It's unbelievable to think that Bronya and Fu hua would give their cores or lend them. First, Kiana does not need their cores to begin with because she already has her own Void core and the gems. Second, Fu Hua cannot even lend or utilize her core because it is with the Herrscherr of Sentience Hua. To remove a core or gem from a Herrscherr is to deprive them of their powers which clearly did not happen to Bronya and is impossible for Fu Hua due to the reason I explained above. To repeat, what I believe is shown in 4:05 is the Void core (yellow), gem of Serenity (blue), and gem of haste (red). Notes: To those reading this, rather than a pointless argument with Seelecon I'll just write down the basis for what I'm saying and decide for yourself who is more credible. I do not claim to be 100% correct as there is no official explanation that I know of on what is shown in the animation. Furthermore the animation has shown discrepancies on the topic of the cores themselves. See 4:05 and 4:39 for example. In 4:39 the gem on the right is purple resembling the color of Herrscher of Sentience's core color but back in 4:05 the jewel is red. Now back to the issue of the identity of the 3 jewels seen on Kiana's sword. We know that Kiana has three sources for her herrscherr power. The first is the void core which is an undisputed fact. Next are two gems. Note that gems and cores are different! Cores are formed when a Herrscher is born while Gems are a lesser form of Herrscher Cores given to Sirin by the Honkai Will. If exposed to enough honkai energy they can transform into cores! Now we talk about the gems (Serenity, Haste). The gem of Serenity is inside Kiana because Otto implanted this into her. The gem of Haste was given to Kiana by the HoD in chapter 25. Thus I came to the conclusion that Kiana's herrscher transformation was influenced by those 3 things. How did I come up with that? The void core is obvious. Since it's a living Herrscher core it is definitely involved in the process. It is the part of the gems that I am not 100% sure about. The gems on the other hand were influenced by the Herrscher powers lent by Bronya and Hua. If we believe this to be the case, then it should explain how the gems were activated (remember that they need high amounts of herrscher energy to transform into cores). It would also maaaybe explain why there is a purple jewel in 4:39. It could be that the 4 jewels we see in 4:39 is the gem of Haste which now turned into the Flamescion core (the biggest red jewel), the void core (yellow), the gem of serenity powered by the Herrscher of Reason, and a fourth jewel powered by the Herrscher of Sentience. It's a stretch but that's the best explanation I can give on this. On to Seelecon's theory. He says that the Cores of Void, Reason, and Sentience are what's shown in 4:05. I'd be more convinced if it was 4:39 that he pointed out since we can see a manifestation of the Senti core there. But at present, the current Flamescion model and art no longer shows the purple glowing jewel wee see in 4:39. This might mean that the jewel only turned purple during this one fight and the energy dissipated after, returning to the original colors in 4:05. Hence my disagreement with his correction. What is shown in 4:39 are not cores but borrowed power influencing the gems while what is shown in 4:05 are definitely not cores.

@@Comrade_C In the segment of mobile games, projects with such a storyline are at a minimum. So it's worth taking that into account. I'm not saying that the plot is a masterpiece, but it is good compared to many other projects in this segment.

She grows and evolves with each core, which I will catalogue and explain more about below. It's easy to miss things in the fast paced action, so I'm here to make sure you won't miss those things. Tip - Keep your video paused unless otherwise instructed to prevent frustration **Below will be the progression of Kiana** 0:19 - Entrance (This is normal Kiana but with Himeko's Godsbane - Surtr sword, which will be referred to as "Surtr" from now on) 1:46 - Cooked n' Caught (After being roasted and grabbed, Kiana's hair comes down) 2:15 - Warrior's Torch (A good look at Surtr for later) 2:34 - Reforging (Using HoV powers, Kiana reforges Surtr. Kiana inherits Himeko's will in both philosophy and power, with her vow to fight for all that is beautiful in the world and the Gem of Haste's power. The three objects over her left shoulder are also similar to the floating objects Himeko had in her Godsbane battlesuit. Notice that changes to Kiana brought about by the Gem of Haste are different from Bronya and Fu Hua's changes. The Gem of Haste incites a brilliant armament to burst forth from the flames, unlike the red/blue glow of the other Herrscher powers. Inferno now has no scarlet red, and the orange that once ran down the blade's edge now colors the blunt surface. Kiana is no longer in danger from the core or gems. She was only dying because of HoV and Kiana herself rejecting the cores. With her opening up to them, HoV's defeat and accepting that she is Sirin, the cores will no longer threaten her life. She, like Mei, is a Herrscher with a human mind and heart. In a twisted way, Otto got what he wanted all along: the Herrscher of the Void will protect humanity from Honkai until the Herrscher of Death manifests, then he'll beg Shenro- er, the Herrscher of Death to revive his beloved Kallen.
2:14 "Now it's my turn to do what I gotta do. To tell them they made the right choice!". I'm honestly surprised that nobody is talking about this line. If I'm not mistaken, I think Kiana is telling Himeko that she made the right choice to sacrifice herself and to put her trust in her. This whole time; Kiana was so hard on herself after Himeko's sacrifice, she even tried to kill herself cause of all the trauma and HoV's manipulation. Then in the previous short, she still had a problem with other's sacrifices, which caused her to make a questionable decision and break the HoS seal to save Fu Hua. Now; she's ready to accept Himeko's sacrifice and let her rest for good. Kiana is going to keep her promise, and not only change her story, but change everyone's story. Now excuse me while I go cry in a corner.

The beauty of this short film is that while Herrscher of Domination was pushing Kiana with despair, Kiana was fighting with hope. This has surpassed Shattered Samsara. Truly a masterpiece!

I can "feel emotions" in Korean more than Chinese and Japanese more than Korean but English is still on the very top when it comes to foreign languages. That's totally normal. This really hits fucking hard when you suffer from depression and have lost someone close to suicide. Its really a statement to never give up no matter how bad it gets. It took me many listens to the song and watches to get the context but its an actual work of inspirational art. This hits deep. I cant say it enough.
It's as bad as knowing someone who attempted suicide. I rember crying about the whole next day and blessed to say that they are still alive. There is one thing I like about Kiana. In so many anime, when the Big Bad gives the "we're not so different you and I" monologue, heroes often have to go through a Blue Screen, kinda-break then get friends to put them back together. Now, Kiana, never broke, never blue-screened. She just said "Nope" and moved on. As it should be. Showing internal conflict about "being like the Big Bad" can be cool, but it's been so overdone I just yearn for the moments that go "shut up, I'm punching you now".
did you miss the part where she thinking of shooting herself in the head during arc city? right after the HoV awakening and 3 months of destruction then followed by 4 months of being a fugitive?
@@TheTroubleshooter Did you miss why? She wasn't going to shoot herself because "my life sucks". She was thinking about it because she actively put her friends in danger and the easiest, safest way she could think to prevent that was to remove the danger. She basically was agreeing to what a lot of other characters were saying (Durandal and Raven among them); she was a ticking bomb with the power to potentially blow up the world.

For your information, Kiana was able to harness 4 gems formally owned by Sirin given by the honkai will and even able to turn all of them into a core form. If you don't know what I am talking about stick a bit with my explanation as it would be very confusing and long and also contain some spoilers. To start from the very beginning, the 4 gems namely gems of conquest(Thunder), haste(Fire), serenity(Death), and desire(Wind) was granted to Sirin on the moon after she made contact with the will of honkai. Sirin then gives each of the 4 dead friends a "pseudo core" while keeping the original one and turned them into pseudo-herrscher which were only imitations of her long-dead friends. Pseudo Gems of Conquest was given to Bella(Benares) turning her into pseudo-herrscher of Thunder. Pseudo Gems of Haste was given to Agata turning her into pseudo-herrscher of Fire. Pseudo Gems of Serenity was given to Galina turning her into a pseudo-herrscher of Death. Pseudo Gems of Desire was given to Avrora turning her into a pseudo-herrscher of Wind. Note that Sirin's 4 gems are not the one that activates bronya's herrscher power as her herrscher core was given to her by welt yang when she went inside the sea of quanta. This is true because welt's core(making him the 1st herrscher) exist even before sirin become the 2nd herrscher and obtained the four gems. It got stolen by Sirin after she defeated welt on the moon, which Welt will be taking back later although it is broken. 4 of the gems' location=Sirin have them all While welt and Sirin were fighting inside the dream created by Fenghuang Down, the 4 orignal core manifest itself in the real world giving Einstien a chance to steal the Gem of Conquest away. Then Seigfried while losing control of the power of Kaslana Genome took the Gem of Serenity from her causing Sirin to lose her regenerative power. When the 2'nd herrscher was defeated there were still 2 remaining gems inside of her. All 4 of those gems are then retrieve by otto. The gems were then implanted inside K-432 with the gene of 2nd herrscher. 4 of the gems' location= Otto have them all From this point on the whereabouts of the gems is quite ambiguous as we are not sure how many gems were implanted inside of K-432. What is clear is during the present time, is that the Gem of Conquest were within Mei and had formed into the Core of Thunder but was only enough to turn her into Pseudo Herrscher of Thunder. Also, Mei, Bronya, and Kiana(K-432) are tasked to retrieve the gems of Desire within the body of Wendy(Pseudo Herrscher of Wind), later stolen by Anti-Entropy. Gem of Conquest(Thunder)=Mei Gem of Desire(Wind)=Wendy Gem of Serenity(Death)=Probably Kiana(at this point we are not sure) Gem of Haste(Fire)=Otto The gem of Serenity was already inside Kiana may be implanted during otto's first attempt to awaken K-432 into Herrscher again. While the Gem of Conquest was stolen by Herrscher of Void (Kiana) from inside of Mei (this can be seen in the game storyline). On the other hand, Otto uses the Gem of Haste(Fire) to power up the Key of Blankness (Himeko Suit previously owned and worn by Dr. Mei in the Previous Era) thus enable Himeko to Harness the power of Herrshcer of Fire momentarily. The gem is then lost inside the Sea of Quanta with Himeko. Note here that The key of blankness enables the user to use the power of the corresponding gem implanted inside of it. Gem of Conquest(Thunder)=Kiana Gem of Desire(Wind)=Anti-Entropy Gem of Serenity(Death)=Kiana Gem of Haste(Fire)=Himeko(inside the suit) As the story continues the Gem of Desire then was thrown inside the Sea of Quanta when it was at the hand of Cocalia. Since Kevin Kaslana was inside the Sea of Quanta and Gray Serpent orchestrated the betrayal of Cocalia, Kevin was able to get his hand on the Gem of Desire. In chapter 12-12 of the game, we can see that Kevin did try to steal the 1'st herrscher core from Bronya. This part is very important because what Bronya has is not any of the 4 gems owned by Sirin which people got very confused with. Here we also saw Welt stole back the core and absorb it inside his body by creating his body using the 1'st herrscher power, though they were still defeated. If we focus a bit on whats Kevin was holding at the end, we can see Kevin walking back holding the gems of Desire and "not the 1'st herrscher core". As the story progresses Kevin will hands on the Gem of Desire to Mei as a catalyst to transform Mei into Herrscher of Thunder. Mei turning into Herrscher weaken the Gem of Conquest inside kiana,thus the Gem of conquest dissipate and return back to Mei. Gem of Conquest(Thunder)=Mei Gem of Desire(Wind)=Kevin Gem of Serenity(Death)=Kiana Gem of Haste(Fire)=Himeko Finally, based on this New Animation video from Mihoyo, we can finally resolve some of the questions on the gems' true whereabouts. Since the Herrscher of Dominance shows off the Gem of Haste to Kiana and proclaims that Himeko is dead, we can say that Kiana took the gem from HoD. Thus, Kiana was able to get her hands on 2 of the 4 gems. I am not sure about how Kiana was able to get her hands on the Gem of desire & Conquest but it is safe to assume that Mei gave it to her (Based on HoR quick appearance in this video). Thus it all explain how in the video kiana was seen with all of the 4 gems. We can also theorize that Surtr was a part of the Key of Blankness and it is able to hold the power of all 4 gems. We can also assume that It is no longer in its gems form (rough shape) but it is in its Core form (given the polish shape of the gems). We know that a typical gem hold about 1000HW(Honkai Welt) and higher enables to create and power up a Pseudo-Herrscher. In this case Agata, Avrora, Bella, Galina, Mei, and Wendy(Although wendy reacher 2000HW she was not able to become a complete herrscher). While the core form able to produce 2000HW or higher which turns the user into Herrscher. It is very interesting to see Kiana wielding the power of 4 condensed core(harnessing all of its power), basically holding at least 8000HW passing the 2000HW requirement to become Herrscher, perhaps making Herrcher of Flamescion the strongest herrscher in present time. As for why Kiana was able to wield the power of HoR and HoS, we can say that having 8000HW might give her independent access to the will of honkai allowing her to use HoR and HoS power but we can only assume. This might be too long for comment but it is nice to share my opinion on the gems as it is very important to know how hard it is for all the gems to reach Kiana and the Hype to see all of them in this video. Just like when all infinity stone in Avenger gathers in on place. I would love to know your opinion on this, as I'm sure that some assumption I made might be wrong.
I don't know if Kiana got back Gem of Desire and Conquest... But what we know she has Serenity.. Given the color of the gems in the sword maybe they are powers from the core of HoS, HoR and HoV.. Also given that she may have access to the power of Haste as the HoF now... So the gems on the sword may pertain to those herrscher instead of the gems that you have mentioned

Something about witnessing all the hardships and struggles they went through over the years (real world time), make this short hits especially hard. Our little Kiana has now grown to be a shonen protagonist. EDIT: I thought I had tempered my emotions when I first saw it, but can't help but cry the more I rewatch. I might have been actually shocked the first time.
It truly does fit the title. Since "Scion" can be synonymous with the word "Heir", that would mean the title "Herrscher of Flame Scion" can roughly mean "Sovereign/Ruler of Inherited Flames" or "Heir of the Sovereign/Ruler of Flames".
From the first time we met Kiana, she was just a simpleton Valkyrie that gets too cocky without any goals. But as time passes by... She starts to grow and mature to the point we can't even recognize her... We're so proud of her.

It broke my empty shell that had nothing but nihilism to understand that it doesn't matter what happens in the infinite future. your adventure and sacrifice start here and now. Just like Himeko said "you can still end the story the way you want it." So, I don't want to be miserable and I will find something to give me purpose in life. Even if it fiction I will take it to my heart.
Sort of follows the same theme/message as Evangelion, which makes sense since Honkai was clearly inspired by it and they even collabed together. How fitting & ironic that both are used so heavily as means of escapism by it's fans.
Indeed. The game is my form of escapism. But I have also been able to draw parallel from it to my life. I have a sister, 11 years older than me. She's always been supportive of me through my struggles, rebellious teenage phase, mental health issues etc. Even though we fought a lot, we were close. She got married and moved to a different country but continues to guide me. I try everyday to do the right thing and to get better. Remembering what she taught me. I feel as if I'm Kiana, my mental health issue is HoV. And my sister, Vermillion Knight. I will continue to move forward and make my life into what I want. She may not be physically here. But the fire she left within me continues to burn bright.

Whenever an big anime page makes an post and ask who's the best MC in shonen, I'm gonna introduce them to Kiana Kaslana, cause this woman and the wonderful cast behind her deserves the recognition.
This animation almost feels like is should be called “Honkai Impact 3rd: Endgame” or something. Having the fight itself feel so reminiscent of Final Lesson, but with Kiana in Himeko’s place really brings her character arc full circle from where she was back then. And having Bronya and Fu Hua there helping adds visual elements from both the Cyberangel and Shattered Samsara to the mix. Even the theme’s lyrics have callbacks to previous shorts. Then Mihoyo weaves it all together into yet another masterpiece.
I honestly cannot imagine miHoYo topping this animated short, both in terms of impact and music. Watching Kiana growth is easily one of the most emotional and rewarding things in the whole game.
Every time I think that miHoYo’s animation quality has hit its peak they go and make an even better looking cg. It breaks my heart to finally truly say farewell to Himeko, but I’m so glad to see poor Kiana continue to grow and overcome.

From my headcanon, Kiana has 2 Cores and 2 “Gems”. Core of Void and Flame, “Gem-leveled Core” of Reason and Sentience. Why Gems? Because if Bronya and Fu Hua really gave away their Cores at that moment, they could’ve died due to being normal humans again without protection of the Cores (Mostly Bronya, Fu Hua has higher survivability). But they weren’t (I hope so), which means the Cores are still in their bodies, and the stones on Kiana’s sword are just about a Gem’s level that she borrowed.

Kiana's will to move forward is why Himeko can rest in peace, the living legacy of the woman who never gave up on her, not to the very end. The girl who can choose how this story ends.

But the thing is that Herrscher cores can contain the souls of Herrschers, and guess who was the Herrscher of Flame over 50000 years ago?
It was more or less confirmed that PE Himeko helped current Himeko during that fight against Sirin, since VKE was so badly damaged the core containment ruptured when Himeko destroyed the black hole. Himeko's body lost all signs of active Honkai corruption after Sirin was defeated, meaning that the "ghost" Kiana has been seeing may have actually been her Himeko, stored in the Core of Haste.
After all, it was pointed out that Kiana had three cores, but only two of them, Void and Thunder, were ever named. It could be that Sirin absorbed the Core of Haste just before the injection was pumped into Kiana's body.

HoD would've most likely won and controlled Kiana by using her despair, but sadly for her; she showed up after Kiana's development and Kiana easily deflected off HoD's manipulation. So HoD will go down as an interesting and strong villian, but she came in the story at the wrong time.
But then they would have to contest with a much stronger Sirin

No, not at all. I think hod being introduced where she was was actuslly the best time and I would not have wanted her to appear any sooner or later. HoD was a test. For Bronya, Fu Hua, Seele and Kiana, to see if what they have learnt up until this point has actually meant something. Does Bronya deserve to have the Core of Reason, dies she have what it takes to be the new herrscher of reason and strip AE of its most powerful assets. Does Seele actually trust velonia or is she losing sight of her closest friend. How has Sentience impacted Fu Hua and how can she move forward without Fenghuang Down. And Kiana, is her continuously struggling to contain hov worth it or should she confront her and settle it once and for all. All of these are things that are only brought up, because of the manipulation of HoD, after all of them have had really big character moments.

This is my thoughts about kiana:
ngl my first impression was "Oh she's carefree" then ... until Will of herrscher happen and everything change,we lost the major Himeko, the most heartbreaking is in the flashback when Kiana ask to Himeko "if i'm become in a monster/honkai beast you will kill me?" then himeko said: "that will never happen sugarplum"
in Arc city Kiana was lost in the dark, running away, even tried suicide but fu hua(fenhuang down) stop her, Himeko appears and tell her "what are you waiting for" kiana understand that and becomes void drifter.
She saves Arc city from project stygma sacrificing herself, the cost by that is the honkai infection.
In nagazora's arc she understand is just a clone but Mei can't accept that and her imminent death due to the infection,then mei becomes the herrscher of thunder for save her. Kiana lost her friend.
in Fu Hua's arc Hua said: "this is my mission" before sealed herself with HoS, Kiana finally understand sacrifice yourself for the victory it's unacceptable like she did in nagazora's arc while running away, Kiana broke the seal and saves hua.
HoDom's arc is just.... the closing of the 2nd act of the whole story, Kiana accept herself as Sirin and carrying her sins, she accept Himeko's death and will carry her legacy, Kiana has grown captains, fighting for the beautiful things on this world as the lyrics said, Brighter than tomorrow and yesterday and ending this story the way she want.
For Mihoyo: There are no exact words to describe this masterpiece, i just will said thank you and I applaud for all the effort put in the game. Tech otakus saves the world!

Newbie player here who has completed the story so far. Not everyone has time to play HI3, much less do the long story of HI3 so I will provide some notes to help people get some context to this beautiful animation.
(SPOILERS BELOW)
0:05 - Where is she? How did we get to this point?
1. We are in the Theatre of Domination which is in the Imaginary Realm. It is a dimension created by the Herrscher of Domination (HoD, enemy in this short). Kiana and the rest were trapped in this Theatre and are now fighting to defeat the HoD.
2. Players fought a big boss battle to get to this point. Working together, Kiana, Bronya, and Fu Hua sought to defeat HoD only for Bronya and Hua to get captured. What about Mei? You know that in Lament of the Fallen, she parted ways with Kiana and joined another faction. Nevertheless, the HoD is a common enemy and Mei's participation is in weakening the HoD which she was successful in doing. Now it's all up to Kiana.
0:25 - 0:29 - "Without the power of a Herrscher, you're only a runt."
1. HoD's main method of destroying humanity is by instilling and instigating negative emotions within humans. It breaks them down mentally and controls them like puppets. HoD's main target is Kiana because if they are able to destroy Kiana's mind and heart, they will be able to bring out Sirin. I will explain.
2. There are two personalities within Kiana. The first is the Kiana we know of and the second is Sirin, who is the original Herrscher of the Void. We see Sirin in Befall and Final Lesson - yes, that's Sirin, NOT Kiana! Sirin loathes humanity and wishes to destroy it. The story arc of Kiana has been a clash of wills - Sirin wishes to take control and fulfill her mission of annihilating humanity and Kiana is in the way.
3. Meanwhile, Kiana has been weak-willed. She was overcome in Befall and Final Lesson, needing Himeko's sacrifice to suppress Sirin. In Diane's Sojourn we see her broken and struggling. Sirin is suppressed but it was only a matter of time until Kiana breaks and HoV returns. In Meteoric Salvation, Kiana finds her resolve and promises Himeko that she will "change how the story ends." In Lament of the Fallen, Mei and Kiana have a clash of interests. Mei hates seeing Kiana sacrificing herself for humanity and found that the only solution to saving her is to become a Herrscher. Although Kiana has found her goal, she continues to willfully suppress Sirin at the cost of her failing health. Suppressing the Herrscher powers is detrimental to her body and is slowly killing her. Note that Kiana at this point had THREE Herrscher gems/cores. She has the HoV core, gem of serenity, and gem of conquest. Mei turning into the Herrscher of Thunder is due to her taking Kiana's gem of conquest, thus saving Kiana's life since there's one less corrupting power within her.
4. Thus, the HoD repeatedly states biting remarks at Kiana's foolish struggle to survive. It tells her that she does not deserve to live because so many people keep sacrificing themselves (Himeko, Mei, her parents, etc.) to protect her, who is a Herrscher that will destroy humanity. She is a clone whose original purpose was to merely become a vessel for Sirin. Without her Herrscher powers she's useless.
5. But the HoD is wrong. Kiana at this point has become more mature and will not bow down to their words. In chapter 25, Kiana and Sirin once again clashed and Kiana came out on top for good. Furthermore, players are treated to once again meeting Himeko, for the last time. After beating Sirin and mastering the HoV powers Kiana meets with a fragment of Himeko's memories and the two catch up and later bid farewell for the final time. Kiana has learned to move on and walk her own path, which was paved by her beloved Himeko.
0:54 - 0:59, 1:16 - This shows Kiana's mastery over the HoV powers, she tries to cut the strings holding her friends.
1:44- 2:06 - Again, HoD tries to break Kiana
2:07- 2:27 - "Now it's my turn to do what I gotta do. To tell them, that they made the right choice."
1. This has always been one of the main issues for Kiana. When a Herrscher manifests, the normal solution would be to kill them. However, Himeko and Kiana's friends chose not to and this resulted in so many sacrifices. A lot of humans died in the months after Final Lesson and people continued to die because of the Honkai summoned by HoV. The guilt was so strong that Kiana tried to kill herself prior to Meteoric Salvation but Hua refused to give up on her. Mei even chose to become a Herrscher just for Kiana. Now she wants to show them that they made the right choice.
2:34 - "My turn now. Hope you're fine with that!"
1. Himeko said a similar line in Final Lesson.
2. The sword Kiana uses is Himeko's sword, Surtr.
3:12 - Bronya lends her Herrscher of Reason (HoR) powers to Kiana.
3:17 - A Herrscher gem appears on Surtr. Here begins Kiana's transformation!
3:20 - Her left eye has the same design as Bronya's eyes when she's in HoR form.
3:55 - 4:05 - "She changed me....I want to live till that day happens."
1. The feather is the Fenghuang Down. It's a Divine Key made from a Herrscher.
2. Hua has lived for thousands of years. Her body is modified such that she basically doesn't die a natural death. Her story is shown in Shattered Samsara where Kiana chooses to save Hua from sacrificing herself.
4:05 - Three gems (HoV, gem of haste, gem of serenity). These are all the gems within Kiana, showing that she now has control of all her Herrscher powers. However, she's not Sirin, so she will become a new Herrscher.
4:39 - Her new core manifests. This is the representation of the Herrscher of Flamescion core! Notice as well how the Surtr has become something else entirely, showing how Kiana's progress.
4:50 - damn.
5:44 - 5:52 - Himeko's dead guys, let's move on like Kiana. While she may be dead, her legacy lives on in Kiana.

@ՇԼყ Seelecon I disagree. This is one of the most misunderstood parts of the scene so I'll explaij in more detail.
The only core Kiana had at the time is the Void core because it's hers and Sirin's. It's unbelievable to think that Bronya and Fu hua would give their cores or lend them. First, Kiana does not need their cores to begin with because she already has her own Void core and the gems. Second, Fu Hua cannot even lend or utilize her core because it is with the Herrscherr of Sentience Hua. To remove a core or gem from a Herrscherr is to deprive them of their powers which clearly did not happen to Bronya and is impossible for Fu Hua due to the reason I explained above.
To repeat, what I believe is shown in 4:05 is the Void core (yellow), gem of Serenity (blue), and gem of haste (red).
Notes: To those reading this, rather than a pointless argument with Seelecon I'll just write down the basis for what I'm saying and decide for yourself who is more credible. I do not claim to be 100% correct as there is no official explanation that I know of on what is shown in the animation. Furthermore the animation has shown discrepancies on the topic of the cores themselves. See 4:05 and 4:39 for example. In 4:39 the gem on the right is purple resembling the color of Herrscher of Sentience's core color but back in 4:05 the jewel is red.
Now back to the issue of the identity of the 3 jewels seen on Kiana's sword. We know that Kiana has three sources for her herrscherr power. The first is the void core which is an undisputed fact. Next are two gems. Note that gems and cores are different! Cores are formed when a Herrscher is born while Gems are a lesser form of Herrscher Cores given to Sirin by the Honkai Will. If exposed to enough honkai energy they can transform into cores! Now we talk about the gems (Serenity, Haste). The gem of Serenity is inside Kiana because Otto implanted this into her. The gem of Haste was given to Kiana by the HoD in chapter 25. Thus I came to the conclusion that Kiana's herrscher transformation was influenced by those 3 things. How did I come up with that?
The void core is obvious. Since it's a living Herrscher core it is definitely involved in the process. It is the part of the gems that I am not 100% sure about.
The gems on the other hand were influenced by the Herrscher powers lent by Bronya and Hua. If we believe this to be the case, then it should explain how the gems were activated (remember that they need high amounts of herrscher energy to transform into cores). It would also maaaybe explain why there is a purple jewel in 4:39. It could be that the 4 jewels we see in 4:39 is the gem of Haste which now turned into the Flamescion core (the biggest red jewel), the void core (yellow), the gem of serenity powered by the Herrscher of Reason, and a fourth jewel powered by the Herrscher of Sentience. It's a stretch but that's the best explanation I can give on this.
On to Seelecon's theory. He says that the Cores of Void, Reason, and Sentience are what's shown in 4:05. I'd be more convinced if it was 4:39 that he pointed out since we can see a manifestation of the Senti core there. But at present, the current Flamescion model and art no longer shows the purple glowing jewel wee see in 4:39. This might mean that the jewel only turned purple during this one fight and the energy dissipated after, returning to the original colors in 4:05. Hence my disagreement with his correction. What is shown in 4:39 are not cores but borrowed power influencing the gems while what is shown in 4:05 are definitely not cores.

Hello captains! Here's your analysis of various things in this gorgeous short, since as a fellow Tuna-lover, I noticed that Kiana is constantly evolving even throughout this fight. She grows and evolves with each core, which I will catalogue and explain more about below. It's easy to miss things in the fast paced action, so I'm here to make sure you won't miss those things.
Tip - Keep your video paused unless otherwise instructed to prevent frustration
**Below will be the progression of Kiana**
0:19 - Entrance (This is normal Kiana but with Himeko's Godsbane - Surtr sword, which will be referred to as "Surtr" from now on)
1:46 - Cooked n' Caught (After being roasted and grabbed, Kiana's hair comes down)
2:15 - Warrior's Torch (A good look at Surtr for later)
2:34 - Reforging (Using HoV powers, Kiana reforges Surtr. She also inserts her first gem, the Void Gem, into Surtr and activates double blue HoV eyes) For the full list of Surtr visual changes, refer to the list below.
3:21 - Rebel to Fate (Bronya shares her power with Kiana, and Kiana uses the Herrcher of Reason's power to reforge Surtr again, and make the coolest hairpins, earrings, and Crown hairband thing known to mankind)

4:03 - Phoenix Reborn (Proof that the Core of Reason reshaped the Surtr.)

4:57 - Sword of Connections (A good look at the new sword, reforged. It can no longer be called Surtr, as now it's something else entirely, so let's call it "Inferno" from now on)
5:10 - 6:12 - Everlasting Flames (Beautiful. Stunning. Himeko would be proud. I know I am. Keep on burning brightly, Kiana.)

0:19 - Entrance (Probably the last we'll ever see of normal Kiana. Was a good ride, you innocent airhead)
1:46 - Cooked n' Caught (Our Tuna is caught and grilled! I bet she doesn't taste good. Seafood was never really my thing anyways. Interestingly, Kiana's hair-ties (hair-rings?) are not destroyed by the fire, but do come off after getting grabbed)
2:15 - Warrior's Torch (I named this part "Warrior's Torch" because this blade is the literal symbol of Himeko passing on the torch to Kiana. The torch that symbolizes the vow to protect all that is beautiful in the world.)
2:34 - Reforging (Compared to the Surtr at 2:15, it loses the white stripes on the side, the area surrounding the boosters turn black and are reshaped into the centerpiece with 4 gem slots. The HoV gem is inserted.
3:21 - Rebel to Fate (Kiana's hair goes up here, which is generally a way to keep hair out of the way in battle. To quote MiHoYo, "We want her to be a fighter." Also, Bronya's Herrscher eye specifically appears in Kiana's left eye, as opposed to Fu Hua's Herrcher eye appearing in the right. The crown-like hairband Kiana creates here may also be her taking inspiration from Bronya's own crown. Finally, the blue shade and outline of Bronya here indicate what we see on screen is an extension of her power, or maybe subconscious will, since she should be unconscious offscreen at this point)
4:03 - Phoenix Reborn (This isn't a necessarily intended connection, but Kiana's just like a phoenix whom rises from the ashes over and over when beaten down by the world. Also, How can Fu Hua use Fenghuang down here? Didn't she say it was gone earlier in the chapter? Finally, this is proof that the HoR core changed the Surtr compared to 2:34 by adding that white spike on the end)
4:07 - Not an Illusion (As I mentioned before, Fu Hua's Herrscher eye appears in the right eye as opposed to Bronya's left. Also, the power of sentience is REALLY sparkly? Kinda cool. Just like Bronya, Fu Hua's appearance here should be an extension of her will/power or something similar because she is unconscious. Additionally, the Surtr modifications here are permanent, but sentience cannot create physical objects, only illusions, so I'm thinking that the blade itself is reacting to the power, or that sentience is more powerful that I thought.)
4:39 - Carrying the Faith (This scene highlights how Kiana has received the kindness and friendship of all her friends, and how she was never alone. Notice that Himeko's Gem of Haste is the centerpiece, since Kiana is the Herrsceher of FlameSCION after all.
4:50 - Scion of the Inferno (Absolutely stunning. Kiana inherits Himeko's will in both philosophy and power, with her vow to fight for all that is beautiful in the world and the Gem of Haste's power. She also assumes a pose mirroring the pose Himeko took in Final Lesson when she made the final swing towards the HoV. The three objects over her left shoulder are also similar to the floating objects Himeko had in her Godsbane battlesuit. Notice that changes to Kiana brought about by the Gem of Haste are different from Bronya and Fu Hua's changes. The Gem of Haste incites a brilliant armament to burst forth from the flames, unlike the red/blue glow of the other Herrscher powers. Now, to quote MiHoYo again,
"We see cape-wearing characters everywhere, who embark on an arduous journey to revolt against their fate." "
Red accentuated with blue was the color scheme to go. Red reminds people of Vermilion Knight and Godslayer: Surtr, implying she is the legacy of Himeko. Blue (just like Kiana's eyes) represents who Kiana is."
4:57 - Sword of Connections (there's no symbolism here, it's just the best look at Inferno you'll get in this short. Inferno now has no scarlet red, and the orange that once ran down the blade's edge now colors the blunt surface. The edges are now rimmed with white instead, and the blade has gained some patterns and little black accessories)
5:10 - 6:12 - Everlasting Flames (as Kiana says, "We're connected by this sword,")
**Author's note**
This took me more than two hours, and it's one in the morning now, so I'm sure I messed some stuff up. I'm also too tired to give 5:10 - 6:12 a proper analysis, and it's also too late to make a full conclusion/summary. Maybe if you captains bug me enough in the replies I'll come back and polish this comment. Until then, fight for all that is beautiful in the world!

Kiana is no longer in danger from the core or gems. She was only dying because of HoV and Kiana herself rejecting the cores. With her opening up to them, HoV's defeat and accepting that she is Sirin, the cores will no longer threaten her life. She, like Mei, is a Herrscher with a human mind and heart.
In a twisted way, Otto got what he wanted all along: the Herrscher of the Void will protect humanity from Honkai until the Herrscher of Death manifests, then he'll beg Shenro- er, the Herrscher of Death to revive his beloved Kallen.
2:14 "Now it's my turn to do what I gotta do. To tell them they made the right choice!".
I'm honestly surprised that nobody is talking about this line. If I'm not mistaken, I think Kiana is telling Himeko that she made the right choice to sacrifice herself and to put her trust in her. This whole time; Kiana was so hard on herself after Himeko's sacrifice, she even tried to kill herself cause of all the trauma and HoV's manipulation. Then in the previous short, she still had a problem with other's sacrifices, which caused her to make a questionable decision and break the HoS seal to save Fu Hua. Now; she's ready to accept Himeko's sacrifice and let her rest for good. Kiana is going to keep her promise, and not only change her story, but change everyone's story.

@@kos-mos It's cringe when you word it like that. Distinguishing emotions in any language takes time, the closer it is to your native language, the less time it takes. I can "feel emotions" in Korean more than Chinese and Japanese more than Korean but English is still on the very top when it comes to foreign languages. That's totally normal. Even when you can distinguish them easily, people still have VA preferences. Don't make a big deal out of it like it's something offensive.

This really hits fucking hard when you suffer from depression and have lost someone close to suicide. Its really a statement to never give up no matter how bad it gets. It took me many listens to the song and watches to get the context but its an actual work of inspirational art. This hits deep. I cant say it enough.
It's as bad as knowing someone who attempted suicide. I rember crying about the whole next day and blessed to say that they are still alive. And I will be damned if they try it again since I know they need some extra positive support and I will give it to them.

There is one thing I like about Kiana. In so many anime, when the Big Bad gives the "we're not so different you and I" monologue, heroes often have to go through a Blue Screen, kinda-break then get friends to put them back together. Now, Kiana, never broke, never blue-screened. She just said "Nope" and moved on. As it should be. Showing internal conflict about "being like the Big Bad" can be cool, but it's been so overdone I just yearn for the moments that go "shut up, I'm punching you now".
did you miss the part where she thinking of shooting herself in the head during arc city? right after the HoV awakening and 3 months of destruction then followed by 4 months of being a fugitive?
@@TheTroubleshooter Did you miss why? She wasn't going to shoot herself because "my life sucks". She was thinking about it because she actively put her friends in danger and the easiest, safest way she could think to prevent that was to remove the danger. She basically was agreeing to what a lot of other characters were saying (Durandal and Raven among them); she was a ticking bomb with the power to potentially blow up the world.
Maybe u can called this just a mobile game, but we played this so many years... And we are already the part of this story.

For your information, Kiana was able to harness 4 gems formally owned by Sirin given by the honkai will and even able to turn all of them into a core form. If you don't know what I am talking about stick a bit with my explanation as it would be very confusing and long and also contain some spoilers.
To start from the very beginning, the 4 gems namely gems of conquest(Thunder), haste(Fire), serenity(Death), and desire(Wind) was granted to Sirin on the moon after she made contact with the will of honkai. Sirin then gives each of the 4 dead friends a "pseudo core" while keeping the original one and turned them into pseudo-herrscher which were only imitations of her long-dead friends.
Pseudo Gems of Conquest was given to Bella(Benares) turning her into pseudo-herrscher of Thunder. Pseudo Gems of Haste was given to Agata turning her into pseudo-herrscher of Fire. Pseudo Gems of Serenity was given to Galina turning her into a pseudo-herrscher of Death. Pseudo Gems of Desire was given to Avrora turning her into a pseudo-herrscher of Wind. Note that Sirin's 4 gems are not the one that activates bronya's herrscher power as her herrscher core was given to her by welt yang when she went inside the sea of quanta. This is true because welt's core(making him the 1st herrscher) exist even before sirin become the 2nd herrscher and obtained the four gems. It got stolen by Sirin after she defeated welt on the moon, which Welt will be taking back later although it is broken.
4 of the gems' location=Sirin have them all
While welt and Sirin were fighting inside the dream created by Fenghuang Down, the 4 orignal core manifest itself in the real world giving Einstien a chance to steal the Gem of Conquest away. Then Seigfried while losing control of the power of Kaslana Genome took the Gem of Serenity from her causing Sirin to lose her regenerative power. When the 2'nd herrscher was defeated there were still 2 remaining gems inside of her. All 4 of those gems are then retrieve by otto. The gems were then implanted inside K-432 with the gene of 2nd herrscher.
4 of the gems' location= Otto have them all
From this point on the whereabouts of the gems is quite ambiguous as we are not sure how many gems were implanted inside of K-432. What is clear is during the present time, is that the Gem of Conquest were within Mei and had formed into the Core of Thunder but was only enough to turn her into Pseudo Herrscher of Thunder. Also, Mei, Bronya, and Kiana(K-432) are tasked to retrieve the gems of Desire within the body of Wendy(Pseudo Herrscher of Wind), later stolen by Anti-Entropy.
Gem of Conquest(Thunder)=Mei
Gem of Desire(Wind)=Wendy
Gem of Serenity(Death)=Probably Kiana(at this point we are not sure)
Gem of Haste(Fire)=Otto
The gem of Serenity was already inside Kiana may be implanted during otto's first attempt to awaken K-432 into Herrscher again. While the Gem of Conquest was stolen by Herrscher of Void (Kiana) from inside of Mei (this can be seen in the game storyline). On the other hand, Otto uses the Gem of Haste(Fire) to power up the Key of Blankness (Himeko Suit previously owned and worn by Dr. Mei in the Previous Era) thus enable Himeko to Harness the power of Herrshcer of Fire momentarily. The gem is then lost inside the Sea of Quanta with Himeko.
Note here that The key of blankness enables the user to use the power of the corresponding gem implanted inside of it.
Gem of Conquest(Thunder)=Kiana
Gem of Desire(Wind)=Anti-Entropy
Gem of Serenity(Death)=Kiana
Gem of Haste(Fire)=Himeko(inside the suit)
As the story continues the Gem of Desire then was thrown inside the Sea of Quanta when it was at the hand of Cocalia. Since Kevin Kaslana was inside the Sea of Quanta and Gray Serpent orchestrated the betrayal of Cocalia, Kevin was able to get his hand on the Gem of Desire.
In chapter 12-12 of the game, we can see that Kevin did try to steal the 1'st herrscher core from Bronya. This part is very important because what Bronya has is not any of the 4 gems owned by Sirin which people got very confused with. Here we also saw Welt stole back the core and absorb it inside his body by creating his body using the 1'st herrscher power, though they were still defeated. If we focus a bit on whats Kevin was holding at the end, we can see Kevin walking back holding the gems of Desire and "not the 1'st herrscher core". As the story progresses Kevin will hands on the Gem of Desire to Mei as a catalyst to transform Mei into Herrscher of Thunder. Mei turning into Herrscher weaken the Gem of Conquest inside kiana,thus the Gem of conquest dissipate and return back to Mei.
Gem of Conquest(Thunder)=Mei
Gem of Desire(Wind)=Kevin
Gem of Serenity(Death)=Kiana
Gem of Haste(Fire)=Himeko
Finally, based on this New Animation video from Mihoyo, we can finally resolve some of the questions on the gems' true whereabouts. Since the Herrscher of Dominance shows off the Gem of Haste to Kiana and proclaims that Himeko is dead, we can say that Kiana took the gem from HoD. Thus, Kiana was able to get her hands on 2 of the 4 gems. I am not sure about how Kiana was able to get her hands on the Gem of desire & Conquest but it is safe to assume that Mei gave it to her (Based on HoR quick appearance in this video). Thus it all explain how in the video kiana was seen with all of the 4 gems.
We can also theorize that Surtr was a part of the Key of Blankness and it is able to hold the power of all 4 gems. We can also assume that It is no longer in its gems form (rough shape) but it is in its Core form (given the polish shape of the gems). We know that a typical gem hold about 1000HW(Honkai Welt) and higher enables to create and power up a Pseudo-Herrscher. In this case Agata, Avrora, Bella, Galina, Mei, and Wendy(Although wendy reacher 2000HW she was not able to become a complete herrscher). While the core form able to produce 2000HW or higher which turns the user into Herrscher.
It is very interesting to see Kiana wielding the power of 4 condensed core(harnessing all of its power), basically holding at least 8000HW passing the 2000HW requirement to become Herrscher, perhaps making Herrcher of Flamescion the strongest herrscher in present time. As for why Kiana was able to wield the power of HoR and HoS, we can say that having 8000HW might give her independent access to the will of honkai allowing her to use HoR and HoS power but we can only assume.
This might be too long for comment but it is nice to share my opinion on the gems as it is very important to know how hard it is for all the gems to reach Kiana and the Hype to see all of them in this video. Just like when all infinity stone in Avenger gathers in on place.
I would love to know your opinion on this, as I'm sure that some assumption I made might be wrong.

I don't know if Kiana got back Gem of Desire and Conquest... But what we know she has Serenity.. Given the color of the gems in the sword maybe they are powers from the core of HoS, HoR and HoV.. Also given that she may have access to the power of Haste as the HoF now... So the gems on the sword may pertain to those herrscher instead of the gems that you have mentioned

It truly does fit the title. Since "Scion" can be synonymous with the word "Heir", that would mean the title "Herrscher of Flame Scion" can roughly mean "Sovereign/Ruler of Inherited Flames" or "Heir of the Sovereign/Ruler of Flames".
Even after 3-4 years, this is still the most moving, feeling, touching and glamorous animation made by Mihoyo.
From the first time we met Kiana, she was just a simpleton Valkyrie that gets too cocky without any goals. But as time passes by... She starts to grow and mature to the point we can't even recognize her... We're so proud of her.

Sort of follows the same theme/message as Evangelion, which makes sense since Honkai was clearly inspired by it and they even collabed together.

Indeed. The game is my form of escapism. But I have also been able to draw parallel from it to my life. I have a sister, 11 years older than me. She's always been supportive of me through my struggles, rebellious teenage phase, mental health issues etc. Even though we fought a lot, we were close. She got married and moved to a different country but continues to guide me. I try everyday to do the right thing and to get better. Remembering what she taught me. I feel as if I'm Kiana, my mental health issue is HoV. And my sister, Vermillion Knight. I will continue to move forward and make my life into what I want. She may not be physically here. But the fire she left within me continues to burn bright.

This animation almost feels like is should be called “Honkai Impact 3rd: Endgame” or something. Having the fight itself feel so reminiscent of Final Lesson, but with Kiana in Himeko’s place really brings her character arc full circle from where she was back then. And having Bronya and Fu Hua there helping adds visual elements from both the Cyberangel and Shattered Samsara to the mix. Even the theme’s lyrics have callbacks to previous shorts. Then Mihoyo weaves it all together into yet another masterpiece.
It is the end game for the second phase. Looking forward to the next phase

I honestly cannot imagine miHoYo topping this animated short, both in terms of impact and music. Watching Kiana growth is easily one of the most emotional and rewarding things in the whole game.
Every time I think that miHoYo’s animation quality has hit its peak they go and make an even better looking cg. It breaks my heart to finally truly say farewell to Himeko, but I’m so glad to see poor Kiana continue to grow and overcome.

These 4 Gems were given by GOD to Sirin on the moon, to strengthen her powers.
*Gems are weaker versions of Cores. They’re not the same.
From my headcanon, Kiana has 2 Cores and 2 “Gems”. Core of Void and Flame, “Gem-leveled Core” of Reason and Sentience.
Why Gems? Because if Bronya and Fu Hua really gave away their Cores at that moment, they could’ve died due to being normal humans again without protection of the Cores (Mostly Bronya, Fu Hua has higher survivability). But they weren’t (I hope so), which means the Cores are still in their bodies, and the stones on Kiana’s sword are just about a Gem’s level that she borrowed.
