    Your capacitors drop the voltage very fast due to leakage, insulate the ends and you’ll have a drastic improvement

      How do you insulate the ends

      @@linze1928 by puting some paper and tape, u just need to avoid the plate and air contact.

      @@linze1928 you can also add some glue

    Wow, this DIY paper capacitor tutorial is absolutely fascinating! I never imagined that creating a capacitor could be this straightforward and educational. The step-by-step instructions and clear explanations really make it accessible for anyone interested in electronics. Kudos to the creator for breaking down a complex concept into something achievable and fun. I can't wait to give this a try and see the results for myself. This video proves that with a little creativity and knowledge, we can truly grasp the essence of electronic components. Thanks for sharing this enlightening tutorial!

    I'm sure there is a much better way of making paper capacitors. I have an early 1950's record player that has paper capacitors and they are maybe a little over an inch long and about a centimetre in diameter. If you waxed the paper lightly first with beeswax, the foil would probably adhere to it well and when the capacitor is rolled you could put it in melted beeswax to pot it and seal it from electrical leakage.

    Do we have to like add the color paper or is that just for art work?

    Bro plz do not apply both side of conductor (i.e.- aluminium foil) glue, it will not conduct charges. charges should flow freely.

    Bro i have made a RC circuit and i have made a capacitor just like yours, current is passing throgh it but it is not charging

      In my case a small current( few mA) is passing through it. But it hold some charges for a small time interval. Search for any short circuit in it or replace the paper with thin plastic sheet. It works very well.

      It will work if you use politin instead of paper

    I did it few times, paper/teflon etc. Different designes, more - less layers. Every time I got problem with leakage. Resistance more than 5M ohm. Any ideas?

    P.S. I'd bet the glue formed s conductive bridge through the paper. Dont use water based glue.

    • @axeldaelmans7215
      @axeldaelmans7215 4 роки тому +2

      Dont use glue. Use tape. Mine is really 1mf just because of i reolaced it with tape. And if you even want to increase it more, then drop it in destilled water, leave it for a minute and you have 1mf. Works well, but let the outside dry for an hour or something.

  • @canberradogfarts

    NO!
    Where do I start? How about, wrap it up over a fat pencil so that you dont damage the foil. How about, using a paint roller to lay down the paper over foil. How about laying out the foil on a sheet of glass. How about, using a brayer to roll out air bubbles.
    DE MONETIZED.
