Greetings from Canada. We know how good it is. And I was wondering what to make for supper tonight... it will definitely have some maple syrup. Peace, love and bellbottoms.
Waffles are fantastic and I loved how they enjoyed them. If we could only get them to try and recreate this dish with their own local ingredients and share it with other villages we will then have created something truly Devine.
When it's a holiday I make waffles topped with syrup and a scoop of ice cream. lol, it is truly having dessert for breakfast (just like doughnuts or pie). 🥰
Maple syrup can be made from any species of maple tree you have nearby, they all make the sweet tree sap that is cooked into Syrup but the most common types used in North America to make Maple Syrup are from (Sugar, Black, Red, and Silver) Maple trees.
Fruit toppings and whipped cream are also nice on waffles. You can dress them the way you would pancakes. Butter and powdered sugar are a favorite topping of mine on waffles. Even peanut butter with syrup is nice on waffles and pancakes.
Waffles! Yes! One of my favorite foods because they are so versatile. The flavor of the waffle can be changed - so many recipes I will never try them all. Most importantly, maple syrup is the best syrup for waffles and maple syrup can be very different from brand to brand. Best thing I really enjoy about waffles is eating them for every meal. There are savory recipes as well as sweet recipes. Also, the waffles can be made into different shapes. Syrup isnt required because the topping can be fruit and whipped cream. Or peanut butter and orange marmalade. One thing that I have really enjoyed is making stuffed waffles, both savory and sweet. I was even planning to make some today with cherry pie filling and cream cheese frosting for filling. Make a few and freeze. But at least one will be served hot with a scoop of ice cream. I really could eat waffles daily because of all the recipes and variations. Along with the stuffed waffles maker, I also have a waffle bowl maker. Waffles are Most definitely a top favorite foods. As long as they are homemade, I can find recipes to go with any mood or occasion.
Made using a waffle iron or waffle press. Basically you pour batter similar to pancake batter into the bottom, and the close the top lid on top, turn it on and it heats up, cooking the batter into waffles. Takes a few minutes. Both sides have kind of square "teeth" or whatever you want to call them, that press into the dough, making the square impressions for syrup or other stuff like fruit or whipped cream, nuts, honey, or whatever to sit in.
Waffles are tasty and fun. Slightly bland on their own, buy typically topped with syrup, fruit or other toppings. Strawberries + syrup + nuts, + whipped cream is very tasty. Alternately warm cinnamon apple sauce is also nice. OR standard maple syrup or other fruit syrups...
Waffles are made with a liquid "dough" poured into an electric machine which makes the shape, and cooks them, to collect the butter and maple syrup after it is poured over, not honey. Look up recipes for pancakes, crumpets and pikelets, they are made with a similar liquid.
If they want to make imitation “maple syrup” at home because I know maple syrup must be hard to get in Pakistan, tell them they can boil methi seeds in water until the aroma is infused, then strain this, add jaggery, and cook it down into a syrup. This will make something that tastes basically the same as maple syrup with local ingredients.
@@Bowhunters6go8xz6x you can do the same thing with Walnut trees. But that doesn't change the fact that that syrup in the bottle isn't made from Black maple. The commercial industry doesn't use black maples, they use sugar maples. In any syrup made from any other types of trees is simply a novelty that won't never reach their borders.
@@decolonizeEverywhere Sugar maple (Acer saccharum) and black maple are the most common sources of sap for commercial production because their sap has a higher sugar concentration. Silver maple sap has a lower sugar content (1.5-1.75%) than sugar maple (2-3%) and black maple (2-3%), so it takes more sap to make syrup but they can all be mixed and nobody can taste the diffeence.
@@Bowhunters6go8xz6x and still maple syrup commercially is made with sugar Maples and anyone that uses black Maples is doing their own maple syrup like my grandparents. All of those things that you said may be true but that doesn't change that fact. Maple syrup came from black Maples because it came from sugar maples. You can argue all kinds of semantics until you're blue in the face and it doesn't change it.
Interesting that boiled down tree sap from the sugar maple can be so tasty. Fun fact, the waffle iron was made by an American gentleman in 1865. The one he made was most likely to cook over a stove as electricity in homes wasn't really common in the US until 1920.
You can still get waffle makers online that you can use on the stove. The folks from Pakistan have said that the power grid isn't very good. Even in the US we sometimes have issues. The power crashed for several hours twice yesterday. It was annoying (and hot)! But there was a pretty big storm, so that happens.
You should show them a video of how maple syrup is made. One similar to ua-cam.com/video/unI7tlk3dWE/v-deo.html or ua-cam.com/video/sZ-xrBc3GwY/v-deo.html.
Waffles have nothing to do with maple syrup any more than roti has to do with ghee. Waffles can be served many ways with or without maple syrup. Do you undertake any research before planning these videos?
You know when your mom said "If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all"? These are the times she was talking about. Your finding fault with things they do is getting old.
They're in Pakistan and it's pretty impressive they're getting REAL Canadian maple syrup by Camp. I'm all for corrections and it would be nice if they know folks like myself use it like naan for savory dishes as well. But at the end of the day they got exposed to a pretty standard Western dish.
It would be good to show them how the Syrup is extracted from the tree. I will always support your Channel All the best from Wales. U K :)
They were shown
@@michaeltaylor8835 When?
I wish I could send these gentlemen waffle irons. Unfortunately my finances won’t allow it. Great video…🥰
...must of been an engineer or archeologist! 😂

Solid!
Top KEK!
Peace be with you.
Waffles are Yummy!
The waffles absorb the syrup, so it's nice to have the bottle of syrup nearby to keep pouring it on.
Yum, we just had waffles this morning,,,,but we just put them in the toaster...glad you reacted to them...America's favorite..Kids love them!
Sweet potatoes (yams) are great baked in maple syrup. It is expensive unless you live right where it is made.
As a Canadian I can testify, that yes, we are crazy about maple syrup 😂 and very lucky as well ❤
What a Tease...
Should of given them 3 of them🤭
Also, waffles or pancakes good with warmed peanut butter and jam I like too

I love waffles for the evening meal sometime.

Now you have to show them a video on how maple syrup is made.
It takes 40gallons of sap water to make 1 gallon of maple syrup
A Cold glass of milk for them to wash it down with would have it more enjoyable
There are plenty of videos to show how to use a fork and knife UK and US style.
prefer them with whipped cream and strawberry jam. or vanilla ice cream. but then they must be warm.

At local restaurants if you order waffle, they ask, with cream, icecream, or both?
I like mine with blueberry pie filling and whipped cream.
I'm surprised they didn't call it bland. Indian food has such flavor. (I assume their indian, if not i apologize).
❤️
Maple syrup is made from sugar maples, not black maple trees.
Please try again 🙏 😢 Use Melted 🫠 butter and Syup.

Do they know that Maple Syrup is mainly tree sap.

They don't research enough and often get things wrong
If you have any thoughts, just let them go! It's uncalled for to be a jerk.
