That "hot glue" WON'T hold sweetheart! Should have used professional "shoe adhesive" (order online). Good luck. 🤞🏼

They would last longer if you used several u pins along with the hot glue to attach the fabric to each side. Then applying the jute around the edges.

I wanted to see them on your feet, and you walk around in them. How well do they hold up? Seems like the hot glue would pull away after a long time of being used? Good idea though.

I don't understand what kind of idiots would dislike such an amazing and creative tutorial. For everyone that criticised this video about using glue gun and getting wet in the bathroom, instead of criticism appreciate her creativity and if at all whenever u make these use sole adhesive if u want and don't use it in the bathroom.

Glue gun glue would never hold up, try shoe goo or boot glue on Amazon for fixing shoes, I have used both n boot glue is the best. I fixed leather sandals two yrs ago n they are still holding up.

Hmm, I was wondering about that. Don't see how durable something like this could be with white glue and hot glue...? Need a strong glue like shoe repairman use, and thread like they use to sew a sole on the shoe. Afraid I would fall on my face in these. Cute sandal, but wouldn't wear them out of the house.

So much negativity here. Simply inspirational. Also maybe the glue makes it less itchy and more like an espadrilles. Plus most likely you’ll need only wear them a couple times. Use the glue that you feel works best.
