I tried some battles and used mouse aim, but I do not liked that. However mouse aim was the only way to be a bit useful. In testflights I only fly from the cockpit, I like that very much. I was in a battle and the objective was to bomb things and then half way the battle there was a message to kill the airfield but there was no airfield, I only found a carrier. And there are battles with circle like things in the sky you have to concur (I think, like in a tank) but no clue how because I can not park a plane in it. Can you make more videos with these sort of tips and maybe videos explaining what to do in what kind of battles ? And what plain is good for a beginner.
The circle-like objectives in air RB cannot be captured by planes; the AI will capture them unless destroyed. On naval maps without airfields, carriers count as the airfield; destroy them.
There’s many years worth of Air battle guides on UA-cam. Don’t be lazy and do a little bit of searching if you have no clue what you’re doing. It’s really not hard to understand how the different game modes and objectives work. It takes a lot of time to really get a feel for planes. Start with arcade because RB and SB are very unforgiving
@@cutthroat795 As a newby in the gameworld (WoT and WT tanks), I must say that this community is rather toxic. If you ask a question on an electronics forum nobody starts with an answer like, "you are a very bad in electronics, better start arranging flowers" or, you are lazy, in the library or the WWW you find everything you want to know. So you are indirect saying that Napalmratte must stop making videos like this. That would be a wast of time..so why you watched this video ? I am not lazy, I do not know the right search terms related to planes and do not want to waist time. Most videos are only game play and I most times do not find that entertaining to watch. I rather use that time for keeping up my professional knowledge (I am an EE and I spend and need a lot of time expanding and updating my knowledge) or f.i play the game. Many tutorials are about installing the game or flying the plane. I know how to set up controls, install the game, fly and control the plane with a mouse, game controller or joystick ect. I practice in custom battles and test flights so I do not ruin the fun of other players. I can land almost on a carrier (50% of the time it goes well), I can fly under bridges over rivers (with easy planes like a spitfire) and for the rest seldom crash. I know some manoeuvres, know about energy fighting, I know guns and amo. But I do not know what roll top play best in what planes and what I have to kill and how. Looking tons of gameplay maybe answers that, but this video van Napalmratte teaches me more in 25 minutes as looking at 50 gameplay battles. I think he is good in explaining so I hope he makes more.
pa4tim Yeah, I am going to call you out for not making an effort to do a little bit of research like everyone else. It’s not very hard to do. it’s very naive of you to ask someone that has made vehicle reviews for several years on a 6 year old game to make videos for a beginner. I would expect an EE to have the intuition to realize there are already guides for beginners that have been made. Watch MagzTV if you want to learn strategies.
I think you should not shorten the distance to the JU. You should let him smoke more and heat up his engine so he won't get as close, just should of snipe him from far with your gunners
Edwin Joseph *Sees someone say ‘misused fighters’ when an F7F kills THREE enemy planes* *Laughs in my F4U-4B killing planes that B-17 players could have killed with Fighters*
It's nice that your doing this, but the Berlin/Ruhr maps are one of a few with good ground targets/bases layouts. Too many of the maps in rotation are using typical Ground Strike designs from Arcade and it's hurting attacker/bombers in the worst way. Take for example my stats in the AD-2 (360 battles at 37% WR with 9.4 K/D - solo gameplay). A good majority of battles when I played it years ago was on the Paradise Island map during that rotation period when it put USA vs Britain in a military exercise scenario (BR 5.0+). I didn't have a choice if I wanted to spade it, earn SL/RP to continue the USA grind. Plus the intro of Warbonds and 60 ground kills mission, super easy with a AD-2 and still is. But the majority of the time the USA team lost over and over since Spitfires have the advantage in climb rate, and the USA players never bother side-climbing at the start. All the light pillboxes are on the island in the middle and easy for any Spitfire that took off at the south AF to come over and remove you, then climb up to get a good attack position since USA players never bother climbing most of the time. Even being the last alive, there's no way an AD-2 can take on various fighters at the same time. From 57% WR, I went down to 50% WR just because of grinding Tier 4 USA bombers/attacker line (back when ground pounding income was glorious). So as before, it's nice your doing this. But the reality is this mode is still an Arcade plus team deathmatch arena. With all the advice you give, the map design will still screw you no matter how hard you try to assist your team as a attacker/bomber.
Spectroop_232 No problem, it took me a while to figure out. Try using ground targets ammo especially for 50 cals. The pillboxes are a little bit buggy and will eat up a lot of ammo but if you keep getting *HIT* then you are doing damage and it will eventually blow up.
People think killing enemy planes is the only way to win. Allied teams will also suicide 2-3 planes going after a BV238 instead of attacking other fighters or hard ground targets. I like to play attackers a lot especially the IL2M which is great for pillbox deletion and winning games often as the last man.
What i dont like from air br is that i need to use specific STRATEGIC bombers to destroy ground units to unlock pin Up decals witch is stupid because big bombers need to go High and for bases no low and for ground units
Excellent video, NP! I fly bombers in RB and really enjoy it. Most of the time, I'm the last guy in my team! Question: if my has not enough bombers to destroy all bases and AF to win, should we bombers change our targets to pillboxes instead of bases?
Very nice video. You know, I have been playing fighters, I would like to know what to do with bombers and attackers. Just a little tip, could you fly low tiers ( tiers 3.0 or 3.7 , not tier 1.7 or 2 ) attackers and bombers? Thanks.
Allied planes are amazing, I got 2 friends and we flew fully loaded P-47s , I mean rockets, bombs, full fuel. We won... I shot down 3 enemy planes... .50s are amazing. Basically, allied teams in a nutshell. Great vehicles, shitty players. Especially true in air RB, but also noticeable in tank RB. Let's be honest guys, the Americans and British have amazing vehicles, at least from 1.0 to 7.7. And they never face each other. M103 vs maus... not even a fair fight for the maus.
You should aim at where the tip of the marker is instead, since the 3d effect of the markers mean that the middle is actually pointing slightly forward from the actual base.
Well i See that Problem too but always when i fly an allied Plane i just think like the German saying "Sein Gehirn an der Garderobe abgeben" its really cursed
Questions , the b 25 is good but one burst from bf 109 and goon , and in other games I can tank , what is the best way to ground pound and bome with medium bomers
Is going for light pillboxes actually better? It helps to bleed tickets, but I don't think you get more SL and RP. It is so much easier to take out the AAA and artillery and uses much less ammo.
If it's not too much of an issue, I'd like to see a video on how to climb efficiently. I have found myself playing around with climb angles to stay at a constant speed e.g. 250 kph IAS in a BF 109. But I am unsure as to whether or not that is efficient enough to be a general climbing strategy. I know I can side climb, and I do so from time to time. I just want to make sure I don't end up stalling the plane the moment I turn the opposite way
Yes, and it's extremely saddening. I love playing bombers in War Thunder, but the fragility Gaijin gave every bomber is frustrating when you are flying a very survivable bomber, such as a Flying Fortress. It's something I wish they would change for us bomber pilots; give us back a competent damage model, especially now that the cannon buff has been around for quite a while
If bombers don't have unlimited ammo, then I think bombers can get a more beefed up damage model. Why?, so bombers can't affort to constantly gunship you from more than 1 km out.
Try to use the ground targets belt. You can use destroy them with the stock belt as well but you gotta have a good diving speed and hit them from above.
I think why allied teams are like this is cause of the selfish mindset of kill, kill, kill. Just getting as many points, kills, and Sl or Rp and not caring at all about teamplay since the game does very little if any to even encourage teamplay. And with fighters being the easiest way to win. Its easy to see why bomber pilots or attackers just dive in with no care and die. Cause they feel they have no place in the battle. As if they were nothing more than just cannonfodder. So why give effort into something you know isn't gonna consistently pay off no matter how skilfull you are?
With ground target belts they can. It takes concentrated fire, but it's doable. I can usually get 6-8 with a full load in my PBJ-1J, provided I aim well
I'm not the greatest pilot, but it seems like a lack of knowledge is what really hampers Allied pilots. Best climbing speeds, how to enter combat, and how to dogfight. Some American pilots will avoid combat because of this boom and zoom mentality that people try to beat inside their brains. They will side climb entirely away from combat leading to the team having an even worse number advantage. Demoralizing might play a big part too. My most flow plane the P-47D-28 has a sub-50% wnr, and yet I feel in general I do really well in it. It's demoralizing. Just my opinion.
@@Napalmratte Eine letzte Frage. Was ist mit der FW-200, also dem "Amerikabomber", wenn ich richtig liege? Die wirkt etwas langsam, ist ja aber auch nur 2.3. Ist die gut?

I can't seem to last longer than a minute and a half in a B17. A single fighter always kills me in ONE PASS, no matter what. I also RARELY land even a single hit on them with my gunners much less do any real damage or kill anyone. The only time I get to bomb ANYTHING is if I'm literally left alone... it's so frustrating. I have to go play 10 games of tier one from another nation to just to make up the silver lion loss from just trying a couple of bomber games.
@@bar4775 Well the HE 111 we have are mostly naval variants i hearts some had way more guns on the back and a 20 mm face down on the rear but you know Germany can't have nice things like that.
the stock 20mm on AD-4 are shit, they jammed instantly trying to kill light pilbox with it is very difficult. Nice bomber video, I never think about turning off the engine in the clouds. Meanwhile 30mm german gun are awesome for the lightpilbox, 3 round of HVAP is enough to kill it.
Bombers and attackers have no place in air RB they should have their own gamemode where the bombers have to bomb factories and the attackers kill tanks. The enemy team consists of interceptors which spawn on an airfield, the bombers get a 5 km airspawn and attackers spawn at 500 m.
"Lvl 19 buys XM1 gets rekt leaves" Welcome to War Thunder. Where everybody thinks he can play the game. Where everybody thinks a Tiger is invinsible. Where especially the german fraction is complaining like never seen before. So many historians so many people that literally are just bad but they blame the game. I must really say the amount of nUbS is insane in this game. Allied teams regardless of ground or air are extremly versitalie but the users are just bad. I never had any issues with them but some poeple yeah.......whatever fuck it.
Here’s what I’m getting from you video. If America players can play smart they can win. If German players at least have a pulse they can win. Good video over all but it’s still not fair that American players have to work harder for the win than German players
germans have to work harder because their planes behave like shit at rank 3 and 4 and are really expensive. Allied players just play so that the germans have it easy ...
Napalmratte I would disagree. When the German teams consist of ju288s they can easily win by bombing. Ta152 can rip other planes to shreds. Plus in later tiers they have Seahawks with missles at 7.7 and cl13s (most op saber in game.
Napalmratte Germans can also win by bombing the bases due to their high power bombs. Ever sense the b29 got nerfed to hell Americans can no longer do that
I would say performance-wise at high tier props allies actually have a performance advantage over the Germans, which is unlike, say mid tier (3.0-5.0). You have a multitude of planes that can climb higher than the Germans, the LF Mk 9 + Griffon Spitfires, and you have planes that can outmaneuver the Germans, Spitfires, F4u-4 corsairs, Bearcats, P-51H etc,. Overall my experience playing high tier props actually has been relatively balanced between axis and allies compared to mid tier where the axis win around 70-75% of the time.
This video shows a lot of the problems with the Allies team composition. Too much bombers and/or attackers, priority to useless soft targets, wasting payload on those soft targets, low altitudes, blindly chasing the bombers. Gaijin way of fixing it? Low BR and repair costs for the whole USA tree. Yeah.
„Americans have nice tools but they get used wrong" Well the americans mostly have boom and zoom fighters. To boom and zoom you need to get above your enemy. Well here is the problem: Lituraly almost all the American boom and zoom fighters have around 4 m/s less climb rate than the german paper BF 109's and especialy the KI-44's. Well now you see why the american fighters underperform. In real life this of course wouldnt make a difference since American fighters where flying a longer distance to get to the Battle and therefore had the altatude advantage Most of the time.
Not all American aircraft are pure Boom and Zoomers, the Airacobra's and Hawk's for example. Both are also very good climbers for their respective br's. In real life you would also set yourself up properly for a fight, something which can be done in War Thunder.
@@aerohydra3849 Nice, so you have to either let the Brittish spitfires drag them down ore you have to let some poor guy on your team die in order to kill some of them. Balanced.

@@otminealnamer1385 Aha, so it is important to first kill the AI ground forces close to the base ? Thanks.
Was with u since 1.2k
Nice. Good old days
I think you should not shorten the distance to the JU. You should let him smoke more and heat up his engine so he won't get as close, just should of snipe him from far with your gunners
Nice to see some bombers.
Anyways a 109 once spotted my b-17E from 10km away and I’m still mad about that like a year later
Let's see more of these missuesd allied planes. Let's teach those players.
Edwin Joseph *Sees someone say ‘misused fighters’ when an F7F kills THREE enemy planes*
*Laughs in my F4U-4B killing planes that B-17 players could have killed with Fighters*
the_ lotusiest *laughs in bomber as fighters lose game in under 5 min to three bombers being used effectively*
Very educative video Napalm, thank you so much ! Wht about the old glory G8 Renzan.
Yea Thxs a lot for the tips It really helped and it puts a smile on my face seeing pc players get mad at a console bomber
remindes me of charlie brown's insident with the wounded b-17 and the bf-109 that escorted him.
Can anyone help me with bomber engines and manual engine control, I can control propellor pitch but I can’t control the radiator’s? Someone plz help!
you can actually kill light pillbox with 50s? i've never managed to even get "hit" on those things with my 50s .-.
The AP and AP-I rounds will destroy them with ease
Just FYI it actually only takes 3 1000lbs bombs for a base
It actually takes 3 bombs believe it or not the base destroys itself afterwards in about 3 seconds post impact
Can you tell us more about destroying light pillboxes with 0,5 cals or 20 mm. I always have problems with that.
does anyone else feel physical pain every time you see a p51 go into a head on, or a tiger that doesnt angle?
How do you destroy light pillboxes using guns i seem to never manage it
Spectroop_232 You have to shoot the roof coming in from a 45 degree dive or more
Bunkerevs Gaming never knew that thanks matey
Spectroop_232 No problem, it took me a while to figure out. Try using ground targets ammo especially for 50 cals. The pillboxes are a little bit buggy and will eat up a lot of ammo but if you keep getting *HIT* then you are doing damage and it will eventually blow up.
U can look at the scoreboard if u are getting points an enemy is nearby..... how do you not know this....
I still wish they buffed bombers the AI can't hit anything and 1 BF109 can slice off parts
Excellent video, NP! I fly bombers in RB and really enjoy it. Most of the time, I'm the last guy in my team!
Question: if my has not enough bombers to destroy all bases and AF to win, should we bombers change our targets to pillboxes instead of bases?
I always had an issue with wing snapping, I could never find the ideal decent angle/speed in RB they ALWAYS seemed to snap.
Very nice video. You know, I have been playing fighters, I would like to know what to do with bombers and attackers. Just a little tip, could you fly low tiers ( tiers 3.0 or 3.7 , not tier 1.7 or 2 ) attackers and bombers? Thanks.
Is this bomber worth buying today ?
Allied planes are amazing, I got 2 friends and we flew fully loaded P-47s , I mean rockets, bombs, full fuel. We won... I shot down 3 enemy planes... .50s are amazing.
Basically, allied teams in a nutshell. Great vehicles, shitty players. Especially true in air RB, but also noticeable in tank RB. Let's be honest guys, the Americans and British have amazing vehicles, at least from 1.0 to 7.7. And they never face each other.
M103 vs maus... not even a fair fight for the maus.
Nice game play!
Napalm when i use clouds , i try to hit the airfield and i aim at the middle of the red marking, but they always miss. When should i drop them?
You should aim at where the tip of the marker is instead, since the 3d effect of the markers mean that the middle is actually pointing slightly forward from the actual base.
@@aerohydra3849 oh , gonna try , thanks!
Well i See that Problem too but always when i fly an allied Plane i just think like the German saying "Sein Gehirn an der Garderobe abgeben" its really cursed
Yo napalm, fly the lancaster , which is WITHOUT 50 cals, and see how u do against swarms of german interceptors
Just go around map
Questions , the b 25 is good but one burst from bf 109 and goon , and in other games I can tank , what is the best way to ground pound and bome with medium bomers
Is going for light pillboxes actually better? It helps to bleed tickets, but I don't think you get more SL and RP. It is so much easier to take out the AAA and artillery and uses much less ammo.
YES IT IS BETTTTTTTTER - that was a big point of the video - you get 4 x RP + 4 x SL compared to AAA/Arti
How u kill the pill boxes with Hispanos tho it took my ages I got one so I know it’s possible but still
How about a Do 217 E-4 or Ju 88 A-4 video.
I just want to make sure I don't end up stalling the plane the moment I turn the opposite way
Sideclimb at the best speed for your plane (look here forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/forum/312-aircraft-data-sheets/ ), and level out for turning.
@@goldenx86 Thanks! I have the page bookmarked now so that I can reference it if I'm unsure about the climb speed
NPLM, i listened to your video while building my T80U kit so i wasn't watching it, so i gotta ask - did you tell your team to attack the pillboxes?
To put Presure on the Enemy. If you Destroy Pillboxes than the Enemy Team will lose Tickits.
@@JansenX12 no mate, i asked if he told that to his team during the game
@@reefta Yeah he did. I read your Comment wrong :D
13mm's did that much damage to you? Holy crap, B-17's are a whole lot more fragile than when I last played them.
How did you shut the engines down
Press I
Wait 50s can kill light pillboxes? I always use universal and i can never destroy them.
Try to use the ground targets belt. You can use destroy them with the stock belt as well but you gotta have a good diving speed and hit them from above.
Takes alot to destroy them
Im still wondering how that guy saw me from 9 kilometers away
Yes yes yes . Bomber pilots please pay attention to this.
Now, its years since played this game but i do remember the early He 111's and regular B-25's being absolutely horrible.
This could make bombers viable again after Gaijin turned them into fuckin toothpicks.
This was a realistic battle?
I'm not sure, but I don't think 50 calls can take out light pillboxes
Can you play the TBF Avanger?
Was hälst du von den nicht Premium-Bombern der Deutschen? Sind die Brauchbar und wenn ja, welchen würdest du für welches Rank empfehlen?

Hello Napalm! Any chances of you uploading another fishing video?
Soon
Cool!
Can you do a he111 h6 gameplay please
Yes i love the HE 111's there pretty good at bombing but have weak guns.
@@littlejimmy8744 yeah they sadly do but i would like to have a guide on it so people can learn a way to negate the fakt that the guns are useless
@@bar4775 Well the HE 111 we have are mostly naval variants i hearts some had way more guns on the back and a 20 mm face down on the rear but you know Germany can't have nice things like that.
@@littlejimmy8744 yeah
If I tell an allied team how to improve i get told off
the stock 20mm on AD-4 are shit, they jammed instantly trying to kill light pilbox with it is very difficult. Nice bomber video, I never think about turning off the engine in the clouds.
Meanwhile 30mm german gun are awesome for the lightpilbox, 3 round of HVAP is enough to kill it.
not many maps for the germans to go for them though ^^
Hi. You have good videos like alweys but i have one question. Can you make video about epic war thunder sound mod, that be nice...
How to increase win rate of allied teams: play bombers
Napalm, please play Sim tanks.
Yeah top tier allies fuckin sucks. Half my team dies once and leaves lmao
*Someone said me an Temp Mk V is a bad fighter?*
Plays it and carries with duel
remember when spitfires and hispanos used to work........................................ahhhhh gaijin
Dude..... 90% of bomber battle there is no cloud and always some TA is going to 1 shot yyou tail off.....
More ground attack and bombing please.
Hmm then prove this strategy works on higher tier bombers. B17g, B24 and B29.
can we get a coment on the b 29?
Yeah.
„Americans have nice tools but they get used wrong"
Well the americans mostly have boom and zoom fighters.
You can usually just wait for the axis team to either be pushed down or just go down by themselves before engaging.
@@aerohydra3849 Nice, so you have to either let the Brittish spitfires drag them down ore you have to let some poor guy on your team die in order to kill some of them. Balanced.
