    * 40+ veteran guitar player. All I play with is Squier. Sold my Gibson's and Fender's and went to Squires.
    * It's a killer by any standard. It plays and feels (especially with tension balanced strings) like a seriously higher priced guitar.
    * Definitely the most favourite guitar in my collection, because of the countless hours of perfection that I achieved on it. 10 out of 10 would I recommend it to a person just starting guitar.
    * I wouldn't dream of giving up mu SQ series Squier
    * My Squier Strat was a great guitar with a really good neck pickup. I had 4 American Strats - while not the same quality, it was a fun guitar to play and sounded like a Strat.

Why am I only seeing this now 😂. Absolutely fantastic job. Can’t wait to get playing it on my next gig. Strings were changed about 6 months ago 🙊

There is a very loyal Squier fab base out there but why can't they spell it properly... :-).

For polishing frets' you can use a piece of leather' no need for a fret board protector.

Whoah! Easy on the lemon oil there! Yes you absolutely should use lemon oil on unvarnished fretboards to stop them completely drying out, but if you put too much on it can make the wood damp which will end up loosening the grip of the fret tangs when the wood goes too soft, and then they can pop up out of their seating, negating the effort of doing a fret levelling job.

Great point! but this was an exceptionally dry neck so it needed some restorative oils, but I do agree that excessive and over use can cause issues.... mineral oil can cause some corrosion long term... if excessive. Amazing how such an inexpensive guitar can be made to play like a rock star.

Another very nice job. If someone is a "guitar snob", they might complain about things that do not matter at all. But overall, it is a nice instrument.

My cat "sam" has an addiction to strings I have to invite him into the studio whenever a string change is ensueing its crazy lol. And your using metric hex keys instead of standard also woah on the leon oil there lol and hammering deck screws into a bridge to remove a cut spring also imo the whole blocking the bridge is overkill. just remove the bar love the banter tho lol if your blocking the trem why tighten the shit out the screws?....this is def entertaining to be sure😂 i mean it is a 200£ squire "million bucks" Ive always been taught to have some relief in the neck (downbow here?) That bow looked fine too me (maybe just reset it in the pocket of the action is still too high)

I have one of these guitars and it sounded "off" to me so I checked and found that the intonation was not set right anf the tuners (machine heads) had not been tightened down enough and it's very rare that string hight or the nut slots are set right on cheaper guitars too.
A good set up goes along way to getting the best out of these entry level guitars, and it's money well spent to get a luthier to do a set up on them when you buy one.

I don't like spending money.... but, yes, a good set up can make a huge differnece.

you should Never leave any Liquid on the fretboard for 5mins like that? If it seeps down the Tang of the fret
there's no way of removing it, the wood can open up, or cause a Blush inside the wood, making it swell
That is a Squier SE btw? 96-2000 made in Korea, After that they're Chinese and not so good, they are a full size body
and best modding platform out there have 3 myself, along with actual Fenders, the SE was Made to be in a Starter Pack with small Amp
