The 97B is my 3rd. CZ after my 75B Single Action (one hell of a smooth, light trigger) and my Shadow 2 (none finer then the S2. Incredible trigger, hardly no muzzle flip, pin point accuracy). This great 45 is right up there with my Dan Wesson 1911 Valor!
When did CZ exit the aluminum grips back to the wood grips? (I know that the 97B received G3s beginning in 2013; and the black Aluminum came in in about 2o16.) The 2020 models I've seen have the wood grips.
In regards to the lack of a decocking feature.....i prefer not to carry with hammer cocked, even with safety on. The only way to do this with 1 in the chamber is to pull the trigger and ease the hammer down, correct????one slight slip and you have an accidental discharge. Way not used to that, carried a 92fs for years.
Very nice review Devil Dog. I just bought one of these pistols myself, although because of the laws here in California I'll have to wait a while before I can actually take it home. Can't wait to take it to the range and test it out. That was really good shooting from 12 yards. It would be interesting to see what you can do at 25 yards.
+Carl Love Thank you sir. My very first handgun ever I bought out in California and had to wait 10 days. I bought a Thompson Gov't 1911 at the PX on base. I think I paid around $310 for it.
One of the notches should have been aligned, but it doesn't affect function if it's not. The original had only one notch on the bushing so it only fit one way, this one has several of them. My manual does not specific that one of those notches has to be lined up.
I just bought a 97B. If you check on page 11 of the manual the a notch (any one of them) should locked up with the spring plug (like a 1911), which is the reason why you need a bushing wrench in the first place. Diagram clearly shows the wrong way first and the correct way second.
I was going to ask you how the grip fits your hand, then I realized that your hand would make almost two of mine. SO, then, how does it feel to shoot , generally, does it flip like a 40 cal.
+Justin Evans (jevans1137) CZ used to make a 10mm version of the 75B, but I don't think they do anymore. There are other companies that make clones in 10mm. They do make 1911 10mms, through their Dan Wesson line. In general, you can't just "convert" a .45 to a 10mm, because most .45 frames can't support the 10mm as they are.
+rickyboyz100 You're correct, but the problem is I have too many guns in my stable that I want to buy. Like I have a CZ 527 and a couple of their .22s in my possession that I really like. I also have a CZ1911 coming. Plus, I also just purchased a SCAR and FNS, so those are on the way.
Oh I know the feeling! I just picked up the 97b. Just waiting for the aluminum grips to come in. Here in Canada they still come with the wood 2x4 ones.
Love my 97 .45acp. completes my CZ metal pistol addiction.

I have four CZ's, you can't beat CZ .
I like the recoil of this cz👌
CZ makes the best at great $$$ prices.
very nice....i'm thinking about a cz as next gun...
The gun is hard to clean cuz the breakdown is real hard but as far as the CV 97b performance one of the best
Just for your info, you are calling the frame the slide.
I love my CZ 75. Haven't tried the 97 yet but eventually will (I prefer 9mm but hey, gotta keep your options open). :)
+Girls Like Guns, Too (Jennifer Young) I prefer the 9mm too. I like more rounds in the magazine.
Just wanted to let you know that the mag is actually a double stack.
And he called the frame a slide.
And there ain't no Glock 45
I mean to say .45 caliber Glock.
Brain fart in front of camera.
Not this one or the bd only single stack

I just bought one built in 2021 and it has the black aluminum grips.

+Carl Love Good old Commiefornia.
At 5:42 it appears as though the barrel bushing is installed incorrectly. Is that why you were sending it back?
+Steven Kendell No, it was correct. The reason I sent it back is that it was sent to me to test and evaluate for a book.
No, it was not correct
the barrel bushing has notches that should fit the housing. The bushing should be turned so it does
One of the notches should have been aligned, but it doesn't affect function if it's not. The original had only one notch on the bushing so it only fit one way, this one has several of them. My manual does not specific that one of those notches has to be lined up.

I suppose you can get by with it but the notch is for locking the bushing in place. Yours is held in place by spring tension and it's incorrect.
E' una pistola stellare 🤪💖⭐

I WANT one !! 😀
is there a way to light the trigger pull
can you get them in 10mm or convert reliably

I like the idea of a single stack 10mm CZ over the Italian double stack CZ clones
+Justin Evans (jevans1137) I agree. I wouldn't buy a clone. The Dan Wesson is nice, though pricey. But they are made really well.
love my 75 not as happy with this trigger my kimber and sti are a nicer pull but it is acturate
You don't haaaaaaaave to give it back!

+762x51n8o @2:23 you said it was a single stack magazine. I may be wrong, but I thought that cz 97 was double stack. Please feel free to reply.
Dude, you have to get your terminology and facts correct. It's a double stack magazine and the bottom portion of the pistol is called a dust cover.
I know. It's not a matter of not knowing the terminology, it's a matter of losing focus on what I'm saying when the camera is rolling. A.D.D.
Longer feel and not as thick....that's what she said....hahahahahahah
I'm sure you get that a lot. lol
learn asembly CZ 97 B first next you doing movie in YT
Bro! next time kindly advice your youtube viewer not to used gun in mass shooting of people .
