    I built this TABLE SAW SHOP CART / WORK STATION on wheels for my ongoing shop build! This video will show you a quick run-through of the methods I used.
    The goal was to provide a rolling table saw stand that would also incorporate some simple storage, and provide a decent work station in the form of the outfeed table.
    Materials:
    B/C plywood
    2x4
    3" lockable caster wheels
    1-5/8" drywall screws
    Galvanized brad nails
    Titebond 2 wood glue
    CHECK OUR OTHER PROJECT VIDEOS AS WELL!
    Miter Saw Table Build:
    • MITER SAW TABLE BUILD ...
    Miter Saw Dust Funnel:
    • SAW DUST "FUNNEL"--Mit...
    Rolling Table Saw Cart:
    • AWESOME ROLLING TABLE ...
    TABLE SAW SHOP CART / WORK STATION HOW-TO:
    1) Rip and cross-cut 5/8" plywood into appropriate widths and lengths for table saw cart components.
    2) Fasten joins that need slightly more strength with drywall screws in pre-drilled and countersink holes. (This is a FAST method--it is not the strongest form of joining these pieces, but the cart only requires light loads.)
    3) Join other pieces of table saw shop cart with titebond 2 wood glue and brad nails.
    4) Build 2x4 base for cart / work station.
    5) Attach assembled table saw cart / work station to 2x4 base with screws.
    6) Add support blocks to inner corners of 2x4 base.
    7) Attach 3" lockable casters to corners of table saw cart / work station.

    You do have to spend some time setting the saw up... blade, fence, etc. But once done, the saw is great. Fairly compact which is Nice ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxXh-4_3-ZT1fFWP91ZV7iVqzElr0lEb-a I did get an Incra Miter Gauge which takes some setup as well. The stock miter gauge can be adjusted in the miter slot with a little painter's tape... this tightens up the side to side play a lot.

    It looks great Ethan! You could use some pegboard and space it away from the back wall of the table saw station to hang tools or accessories. Thanks for sharing this neat build.

    Great build, but it were a few inches higher, it looks like you could've used your miter station wings as an extension to the outfeed for larger projects when you just need a little more surface area.

    Nice build. Have the same table saw but no room in my basement shop for a cart of that size. That brad nailer is great. So much more convenient than my compressor driven nailers. Thanks for posting!

    Have you thought about putting some spacers under casters to bring it level with the other bench? It'll give you a longer work bench with the saw blade down on table saw. Just a thought, but I love the idea and how easy it would be to make. I've got 2 other projects to do on the house, then I can redo to garage and make a decent shop. Doing all the research I can on simple design.

    You could add a hinged/fold out shelf on the out feed side of the table ( folds up & down) that would really help when you rip longer materials.
    It wouldn’t really hamper your storage space much at all when not in use.

    I dig it! I'm planning on building something similar in nature. I have an idea as to what I want it to look like, but I'm struggling to come up with ideas on how I'd make it big to help break down bigger sheets of ply. Main issue is working a design that isn't going to take up the footprint of something like a cabinet saw.

    How do you find this tablesaw for accuracy? And is the fence nice snd tight with no play in it when clamped?..or..which tablesaw would you recommend other than this one. TIA

    • @TheHonestCarpenter
      @TheHonestCarpenter  4 роки тому +1

      I love this one, Paul! The ruler on the fence has never been good. But the rack and pinion style fence extender has always worked flawlessly. I have had to true the fence to the blade a number of times, but mine was a refurbished model that I think just had a couple quirks. Still, for power and quality, these dewalt 7-series models are my go-to table saws

    Hi my friend. Ty for that. So the measure is not accurate are you saying?..its a toss up between this dewalt or a makita. Hmm decisions??

    • @TheHonestCarpenter
      @TheHonestCarpenter  4 роки тому

      I think I could have adjust the display ruler, Paul, but I never bothered because I always use a tape to check fence-to-blade distance. Just force of habit from jobsites now. On whole, contractor grade saws just don't match shop grade saws for precision. BUT, they do have surprising amounts of power, and of course you can just pick them up and move them around. I haven't tried that makita yet, but I'm curious. Makita has a history of making great saws.
