Hey Tyler I heard the CP On-board scanner and there was another freight on his way and had left Lobo Siding 15 minutes befire the train came with his cleareance and he had to back up to Lobo before the CP Holiday Train could spot the car. It was trhe freight we caught after the Train enter the CP Quebec Street Yard.
@tprdfh51 They put the stage car closer to the end of the train this year. It was next to the Business Cars. In previous years (before 2010) there was a generator car next to the usiness cars and another boxcar begfore the stage car. He had more room to make the crossing.
I was the hogger on the train...we didn't have an OCS clearance or TGBO to proceed beyond "B/E CTC Sign London". I brought the train within inches of the limits of my authority but we were still one car length short of spotting the band car on Richmond St. I was able to obtain an OCS clearance from the RTC but the TGBO can only be generated from the FIT machine at Quebec St. It had to be brought to the train by our utility man who was caught in the traffic. Sorry, the train was too long to fit!
@tprdfh51 No. I know someone who was involved with the train in 2008 and was there in 2009 /2010 witrh the CP Police and works for CP and he said they had more head room in the years before 2010 as they decided to change the location and order of the cars in 2010. I went to the show in 2008 in Londoin and they fit with 1 1/2 cars lengths to go.
@RailfanWaterloo "who" had more room to make the band car fit onto the Richmond St. crossing? Santa Claus? Crikey mate...I had 112 miles of Windsor Subdivision just inches in front of my engine but I could not use one inch of it without the necessary authorities and track warrants to allow me and my crew to operate the Xmas train on that portion of the rail. You are not a professional railroader are you?
Fantastic video. Well done! We really loved it.

@RailfanWaterloo OK bud...first thing we will do is teach you about the authorities required in order to operate a train or engine on the main track!
