i understand... nevermore and opeth are my favorite bands ever, don't ask me to pick one, but when i need nevermore opeth does not fill in for them and the other way around too edit: Jeff Loomis is actually my favorite guitar player but Chris Broderick was a monster too, he moved to megadeth and Jeff moved to Arch enemy, worst band ever to show his skills
Yeah man, everything about Nevermore was superb. Warrell Danes voice...wow, Van Williams drumming, just perfect metal drumming, i love his style. Two of the greatest ever guitarists in metal in Jeff Loomis, and Chris Broderick, killer bass as well. They were one of the greatest guitar bands ever.
Van is a beast on the drums. I’ve met all these guys and they are amazingly intelligent people. Warrel was such a wordsmith. He was totally into reading and improving his lyrical writing. He is greatly missed.
I felt that way with Sanctuary... then after that fell apart and Warrel and others put together Nevermore I realized that while Sanctuary was great, Nevermore was on another level. Greatness.
I've been fortunate enough to see Nevermore 5 times before Warrel died. Met therm a couple of times also. They always absolutely killed it, and they were incredibly cool guys to talk to.
Glad you mentioned Van Williams the drummer. He may not be considered a great, but he had a style and sound that fit Nevermore and was criminally underrated. His work on Dead Heart in A Dead World is amazing, same with This Godless Endeavor.
Guitarists are Jeff Loomis and Chris Broderick Loomis has a couple of solo instrumental albums that are pretty damn good. He is now is Arch Enemy. Broderick left Nevermore and went to Megadeth for a couple of albums. He left them and formed Act of Defiance, they have a couple albums that are decent enough. Warrell Dane is the vocalist. He has passed, but he did have a couple of solo albums. He was with Sanctuary before Nevermore. I haven't heard much from them, but what I heard was pretty good. The drummer is Van Williams, I have no idea where he ended up, if anywhere.
Hey so it sounds like you like mid era Nevermore. I love it all. But if you want to check out something like Enemies of reality kicked up a few notches try Born on This Godless Endeavor.
Nevermore is definitely something else.... my favorite band alongside Opeth... different even though they are both huge metal prog references, Nevermore is more Grove/Trash prog Opeth is Death Prog... both absolutely unique and when you want to listen to one of these there is no band in the world that replaces them the same way Opeth and Nevermore don't replace each other
Nothing against anyone....but I still believe AE with Johan Liiva was their best stuff. And Loomis was better off with Nevermore in that time period considering the architecture of his guitar work. But I definitely agree that his talent is being cast aside with what AE has become.
R.I.P. Warrel Dane. Was always one of my favorite vocalists.
One of the best metal bends ever!
This how it’s done period..
The whole band was sooo tight.
Jeff Loomis is a monster.
Definitely my favourite band! I can never get tired of listening to any of their albums 🤘
my favorite band
but not understood by many
R.I.P. Warrel.
& Jeff is a monster guitarist
i understand... nevermore and opeth are my favorite bands ever, don't ask me to pick one, but when i need nevermore opeth does not fill in for them and the other way around too

@@TiagoFilipeCabral Yep
In this band Jeff definitely can't stand out, there are other individuals like Amott

Van Williams style, and power is hard to beat.
I got into nevermore in high school and it seemed like I found a secret that no one else knew about
I discovered them in 99 or 2000 and, honestly, it still kind of feels like that. It's always cool to see someone new discover them for the first time.
I felt that way with Sanctuary... then after that fell apart and Warrel and others put together Nevermore I realized that while Sanctuary was great, Nevermore was on another level. Greatness.
Thank you so much for reacting to one of my favorite bands!!! I'm glad you liked it. check out more of their stuff. so underrated.
Welcome to "our" club;)
By the way, Dreaming neon black is a masterpiece song
I've been fortunate enough to see Nevermore 5 times before Warrel died. Met therm a couple of times also. They always absolutely killed it, and they were incredibly cool guys to talk to.
One of the best metal singers ever. Try Die for my sins by his previous band Sanctuary. It shows Warrel's tremendous range. Great reaction dude 🤘
Nevermore - the whole "Dreaming Neon Black" album is great. Beyond Within , and Poison god Machine.
Their entire catalogue is great
Glad you mentioned Van Williams the drummer. He may not be considered a great, but he had a style and sound that fit Nevermore and was criminally underrated. His work on Dead Heart in A Dead World is amazing, same with This Godless Endeavor.
Van (and his thundering groove) is awesome. Everyone in that band was just solid.
If you know your metal drums Van is truly a great. Fuckin love his style.
All I can say is 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘... love all the songs they made. Rest in power warrel Dane, seeing you guys live blew me away.
i ve heard of Nevermore and have been listening to them since about 7 years ago but Dude! This band still rocks! It is still as good as before!
Guitarists are Jeff Loomis and Chris Broderick
Loomis has a couple of solo instrumental albums that are pretty damn good. He is now is Arch Enemy.
Broderick left Nevermore and went to Megadeth for a couple of albums. He left them and formed Act of Defiance, they have a couple albums that are decent enough.

Van Williams is the drummer for Ghost Ship Octavius
If it was based on talent Nevermore shoulda been one of metals biggest ever bands.
We miss you Warrel.
Dead Heart in a Dead World is a crusher
Nevermore did a blazing cover of The Sound of Silence which you should definitely check out 🤘🤘.
The guitarist with blond hair ( Jeff loomis ) is in arch enemy now but I loved his work in Nevermore
Hey so it sounds like you like mid era Nevermore. I love it all. But if you want to check out something like Enemies of reality kicked up a few notches try Born on This Godless Endeavor.
The black haired guitarist is Chris Broderick he played in Megadeth
The 👱 Guitar Player ist Jeff loomis, and He Play now by Arch Enemy
GODLESS ENDEAVOR is the greatest metal song.. ever!
Yes!!!
And the Others Guitar Player ist Chris Broderick
Nevermore is definitely something else.... my favorite band alongside Opeth... different even though they are both huge metal prog references, Nevermore is more Grove/Trash prog Opeth is Death Prog... both absolutely unique and when you want to listen to one of these there is no band in the world that replaces them the same way Opeth and Nevermore don't replace each other
Damn i miss Nevermore, and now Jeff Loomis is wasting away in Arch Enemy.
Can't believe Loomis resorted to being a hired tour gun. Immensely talented. Wasting away in AE is right.
Dude for real. He’s happy though
so true. i like some arch enemy, but his level of talent is just above what that band does.
Nothing against anyone....but I still believe AE with Johan Liiva was their best stuff. And Loomis was better off with Nevermore in that time period considering the architecture of his guitar work. But I definitely agree that his talent is being cast aside with what AE has become.
How are you in a metal band and never heard of Warrell Dane and Jeff Loomis?
