Oh my God I have literally been asking on most reaction channels for years to react to these guys. Thankyou very much. I paid hefner $10 and he played about 10 seconds and then skipped it. I've followed and asked since 2017 on his channel.
Welcome to the brilliance of Jeff Loomis, the guitarist who also wrote a majority of the music in their songs. If you see pictures and think he looks familiar, that’s because he’s now a guitarist in Arch Enemy. I was sad when Nevermore broke up in 2012, but a little excited when he finally accepted the offer to join AE. I just hope they use his songwriting talent as much as his musicianship. He is considered one of the great guitarists, and watching some of his videos in itself is jaw dropping.

So glad to see a Nevermore reaction, it's a band that should easily be in the top 10, but is often egregiously ignored. They were sometimes classified as "american power progressive thrash", lol, they were an insanely creative band. Their singer, Warrel Dane, died a few years ago.Their guitarist, Jeff Loomis, is now a guitarist for Arch Enemy.
Smokey guessed right, these guys are power metal, but the darker American style which often crosses the line between thrash. Iced Earth is another band that plays this style. Nevermore also add a progressive element.
Some of Seattle's finest! Next track from them has to be "The River Dragon Has Come". Thank you guys! They also do a mental good cover of "The Sound of Silence"! XD
One of the most underrated metal bands. So many great riffs and heavy grooves. Just excellent all around, but they don't get the recognition in the mainstream of course.

dude yes nevermore is one of my favorite bands of all time. rest in peace warrell Danen you should really check out sentient 6 tje lyrics to that song are unbelievable.
"Sentient 6" from the same album is unbelievable. "We Disintegrate" from Dead Heart In A Dead World is pretty phenomenal, and a bit more...accessible? haha
Yes!! Nevermore is still one of my all time favorite bands. Jeff Loomis is an absolute amazing guitarist and I believe Van Williams is one of the greatest drummers out there. Sadly they were such an underated band considering the talent they had. Jeff Loomis is currently playing with Arch Enemy. Nevermore also did a BLAZING cover of The Sound of Silence which I think you guys should check out. Peace and Happy New Year ✌️🤘!
