There is the small family-run shoe business "Bodileys of Northampton" in the UK which sell the "Skye 3" boot basically just under a different name. It is called the "Highland" in their "Mayfair" collection and is produced by Crockett & Jones to be quasi identical to the discontinued Skye 3. I have ordered the boots myself and am very pleased with them so far.
These are absolutely stunning boots. I just purchased a pair C&J Islay and I adore them. In my opinion, C&J make superior quality shoes than just about any maker in its price point. Appreciate the video.
D.J. Middleton thanks a bunch for the comment! The Islay boots are super cool! I had to choose between them and these Skye boots. Still not sure if it was the right choice ;)
A bit like the Pembroke but in a boot - sort of. What is it about discontinued shoes? We all seem to want them! I've just managed to get hold of a pair of discontinued C&J Durham. Searched everywhere and managed to get a pair from Madrid (of all places) - discounted as well. Enjoyed the tutorial👍
@@teamhonzilla I only know the UK sizes and are good for that. I’d air on the side of caution as they narrow at the front. But people always comment on them in a positive way.
Depending on how they fit your feet, they might rub a little as they are relatively roomy. Personally, I can walk in them all day and be fine but I have worn them on a city trip over a long weekend and by the last day they hurt my heel due to the minor rub, as they are quite a heavy boot. This of course will also come down to individual sizing.

Just checked them out. They do look identical! Thanks for pointing out the website.

Thank you.
Im 2yrs late but great views do they fir true to size or should I buy a half size down? I wear size 8 us in sneakers Thanks
Hi, I find that these fit true to size to slightly on the large side but keep in mind that UK sizing and US sizing differ.
@@cooch555 Thank you!
Although I personally favour Tricker's when it comes to brogue boots, I must say these are stunning looking boots, great taste! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the kind words :)
Thanks for the video. Always liked this better than the Islay.
I agree :)
I own a pair of these, I love them to bits.

@@DrawnInk1 thank you for the reply do you order your’s true to your size? Thank you
Nice boots wanted to get a pair of crocket and jones coniston but opted for a pair of Carlos Santos field boots
Nice! Are you happy with them?
I love the fact Live and Let Die is playing in the background. Are you a Bond fan??
Haha, well ‘spotted’. Yes I am :)
Nice review. Just bought and prefer the Islay, but this one is nice too. Did you get the shoe trees directly from C&J?
Also a great pair! No, I get my cedar shoe trees off a generic supplier.
The Skye III can still be purchased directly from Crockett & Jones but it's a special order item only.
You are right! :)
If you ever want to sell these on and get the Islays, let me know!
I will do, James thank you!
How's the rub on the ankle for the boot? Would you lace snug or loose?

Have the same boots. Love them. What kind/color polish do you use on them?
I use Saphire shoe cream. Usually a mix of the Hermes red and dark brown. Occasionally a fine layer of dark brown Saphir polish.
I use Saphir Mahogany. It works really well.
Great content. Keep it up! Would you like to be UA-cam friends? :]
Trap Music thanks a lot! Sure we can :)
Is this the 365 last?
discontinued
The leather is very poor. The best officers field boots (that’s the correct name) are made by Edward Green.
