In this video, you will see RaDona show you how to do a long to short hairstyle transformation. In this video, we have our cute client named Jessica. Jessica is a really good friend of RaDona’s and wanted a change with her hair. As a disclosure, this video was made before we went into quarantine, we abide and follow all of the rules and guidelines that our government has set for us.
Doing a big change like this is super nerve wracking, so you will want to make sure you go to a hairstylist that you trust to make sure that you are not too nervous about how it is going to turn out. Luckily for our client Jessica, she does not need to worry since RaDona has been doing hair for over 22 years. Before RaDona cuts her client Jessica’s hair, she is going to dye her hair to help give the hair dimension and compliment her natural hair as well as the new haircut that she will be getting as well. The hair length of our client Jessica’s hair is medium long, and we are going to cut it to shoulder lengths with some layers to really show off her hair when she curls her hair. This is a super cute haircut and style and is perfect for anyone who is wanting a cute new total change. This is a cute change that you will not regret doing later in time. You are not cutting your hair super short, so it can easily grow out fast or you can cut it shorter. It all depends on what you would have.
To recap, in this video you will see RaDona show you how to do a long to short hairstyle transformation. RaDona added some lighter colors as well as some darker colors to really add dimension to our client Jessica’s hair. RaDona then does a shoulder length haircut with layers to really help enhance these colors and her face, especially if she wants to curl her hair.
For products used in this hairstyle, RaDona will pull out all of her tips and tricks with Monat. Monat has a wide range of products to make sure that they cater to all of your hair needs and hair types. To start with the styling, RaDona starts with using Monat’s Unknot Detangler. When you dye hair, especially lighter, your hair gets tangled easily. To fix this problem, using Monat’s Unknot Detangler, you will achieve the smooth, manageable locks you crave whilst leaving tangles and knots behind. Monat’s Root lifter. With this, it will help lift the roots up from her clients hair to help make the roots lift and appear thicker. This way it also adds some volume to her clients thinning hair. She then uses Monat’s Moxie Magnifying Mousse this will help condition the hair while providing a touchably soft hold. This will also help give RaDona’s client volume, body, and movement. Make sure that you only use one squirt of Monat’s Moxie Magnifying Mousse since it is super concentrated. Now, depending if your client wants to flat iron their hair, or just use a blow dryer, you will want to use Monat’s blow out cream. This will really protect the hair from the heat so that you do not damage your hair. After you blow dry the hair, you can just leave the hair like this. Then you will use Monat’s Rejuvenique Oil to help with any frizz.

It’s a cute hair style but fir fine thin hair that is to much product. It’s not good for the hair. I have really fine thin hair and can’t use that much product because it ways the hair down. I get more volume from no no product. Just an idea.
Lisa Smith Thanks for the suggestion! The products I use are naturally-based and very very light. You might notice that I’m really not using very much of each thing, but the layering really helps the style last and last. Obviously when she’s home she may not use as much product, but when you come to the salon you really want to be done up, right? But I do assure you the products don’t weigh the hair down at all… That’s one of the things I love about it most.

This oil is actually very special… It is mainly made from Abyssinian oil which is basically an oil that mimics our body oils as closely as naturally possible. That means it actually absorbs into the hair and conditions it versus laying on top it when weighing it down. I’ve had thoughts of ladies who have said the same thing, but when they’ve use this oil they see the benefits without the heaviness.

Is cute but almost too much effort in the styling for the results . I thought she had just the right amount of curl before the last brush out ( but I understand it’s personal preference . I think she would benefit from a side bang . All n all ; I really enjoy watching your methods and the dedication you put into every client in getting it just right for them !

I want to come to you to get my almost waist length hair cut off! I have cowlicks allover the place so the cut is so important. Even as a child, the hairdresser told my mom: "she is always going to have problems with her hair". My husband hates the knob on top as he calls it which is the only way I wear it now.
