@@arnabbanerjee2792 yes sir he was on tour and decided to keep touring for the album get treated when he came back I believe I think you can find him saying that on UA-cam or at least mentioning it then an article he details it.
@@boarderking133 kinda makes the album “dreamless “ which are concepts about how death effects life and life after death fear of death etc hit a lot more huh.
That ending is amazing. I love how his vocals just sound like a roar. Unintelligible and animal-like, fierce, and the whole ending is a wall of sound. It's amazing.
simple guitar melody w/ beautiful effects and the drummer's cycle through a black metal beat from death metal beats, plus all the drum rolls make this track sensational. excellent.
Someone at Tama, Pearl, Sonor, or any other major drum company isn't doing their freaking job. I've been following Andrew's career with Fallujah for years now and the fact that this good of a player can't get a Drum&Cymbal endorsement is a damn crime.
seriously cannot believe how sick this guy is and he's doing it with short boards lol. I've never seen or known anyone who owns Axis short boards let alone being sick af like this guy
it really saddens me that being a drummer with this level and in this band and he still doesnt have a cymbal endorsment? wtf? using b8s in fucking fallujah? for fucks sake!! fucking overrated and average drummers get endorsements but he cant?! so fucking pissed man
To be fair hi hats in extreme metal are not that important to have nice articulate cymbals. They're just open and sloshing most of the time anyway so it doesn't matter if they're B8s. He also has AA crashes and a meinl crash and those chinas don't look like B8s either. Everything here sounds fine to me no matter the line of cymbal.
You do realize the audio is mixed so it sounds better?? Those B8''s are really terrible sounding cymbals. Im not even being a hater. They just sound really bad lol
Carlos Bandala dude I was thinking the exact same thing. I've seen Fallujah live a couple of times and during those shows he was still playing with cracked cymbals. This guy has more than talent and yet no endorsement. I just can't believe it
More of this guy. Drums on their albums sound like a drum machine (and they probably are), kinda makes you expect it will be either a coarse approximation or a complete embarassement live. Then you go to see them and songs actually go according to plan. I was seriously totally prepared they're a studio/DAW wonder at most. Great band.
I think fallujah's drums are recorded man. Never heard anything about them using a drum machine and Andrew's obviously good enough to play and write those parts
The entire kit is a PDP Double Drive Poplar shell pack....... For the 8 piece shell pack including 2 -22x18 bass drums it's only $700. That's a great deal and they sound great too. I don't own the set but I seen many players play them and they sound awesome mic'd or without. The only drawback that I didn't love about them is that in person they look really cheap, but what do you expect for 700 bucks.
Definitely not a fan of those Sabians in this video, I've used The same models during marching band and they sound better live. The Meinl sounds nice though.
OH COME ON! Toms can clearly be heard at 0:48 but he's only playing the snare. Would have totally expected someone of Andrew's quality to use the current take's drum track, and not some other take's. Very unprofessional, in my opinion.
+blrsycth I expected someone as good as Andrew to be able to comfortably finish the whole thing off in one take. I mean, have you seen his live videos?! His drumming is flawless. Regardless of that, rookie errors like this are easily avoidable.
Rahul Kini Expecting him to do it in one take, calling not playing it note for note like on the album/his previous takes a rookie error? Dude again, he is not a robot, drop it. They weren't mistakes or errors.
+50 points for beating testicular cancer and bossing drums
Wait.. what.? Seriously?

respects for the single foot blasting, great old school death metal influences i can see.
GET THIS DRUMMER AN ENDORSEMENT
This pleases me.
I've seen them live a couple of times now and they are absolutely killer live.
Outstanding musicians
Lucky bastard
Same here, their vocalist is sorta a douche in person, but they are so tight live.
I had a great chat with Alex, he's so cool. Maybe he just was not having his day. :)
BurnThePope I think out of all the comments I've read on Alex's personality, you're the first to say he was a douche.
The most hard-working drummer in metal!
I went to school with this guy from 5th grade till highschool
I could watch this guy drum all day...
The section from 2:27 to that breakdown is one of the heaviest parts of the album imo. The drumming is so in your face in that section.
Absolutely agree!
I agree ! And that came really surprising (at least for me). LIKE A BOSS 💪🏻🤘🏻
I'm too infatuated by the exiting of Scar Queen, but I know there's a bundle of people are offended by Alex's vocals.
I thought i was the only one! haha :)

Very killer playing

Lovin the B8s
Why, lol..
cause its pretty funny that he uses them even though he is in such a beast band
Can't wait to see this amazing drummer in February 2019 with Fallujah. CAN'T WAIT !!!!
He looks like a Mortal Kombat character
kabal ? 😅
solid and clean.
Incredible album
The best part about Fallujah is the drumming
God damn, sounds great!

Andrew Baird , a hero \m/
So amazing!
SOME CYMBAL COMPANY SHOULD SPONSOR ANDREW!!
so dope. kudos bro!
fucking amazing
Didn't realize I was drooling till it was over
Ride + ride bell + china in a blast beat is killer, It makes blastbeats feel more musical and not monotonous like other drummers.
holy fuck he's good! sounds so awesome
Mad solid! Amazing album
seriously cannot believe how sick this guy is and he's doing it with short boards lol. I've never seen or known anyone who owns Axis short boards let alone being sick af like this guy
That snare tho.... I fukn love it!!
I was sure Fallujah's drum parts were insane, but not at THIS point, damn.
Outstanding superb killer machine \m/
Awesome 😄👍
watched them at VA beach ! This song is wen i jumped into moshpit yessir !
Damn.

Yeah b8s are fucking awful. Every time I hear them it's a slosh of cringy white slosh.

Can't help myself, being overanalysing weirdo is a lifelong passion. Was thinking of Flesh Prevails, mostly.
the kick drum in the studio is completely fake but otherwise everything else he plays on the recording is real
Great vid \m/
Who's listening in 2021! 🤘🏼
It is just fucken amazing!!!!!
Andrews a fucking machine
oh yes what the album version missed lol a lot of the songs have the cymbals toned down...
Goes better with the overall ambiant sound, very spacey. Cymbals would give it a heavier feel.
What is main china like its so beautiful!!!
fucking epic
Somebody knows what's the china on his right ?? It sounds killer !
B8x 18" chinese
💀💀🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
So his right foot swivels but the left doesn't?
I wish the other video that I had seen of this still existed. Had a really sweet shot of his right foot
Void Alone, plz?
but this is amazing, too
Man this guy deserves better gear than what he has for his skill level
Sabian B8 hihats? XS20 crash? I wonder if those are actually his personal choice or if that's just his practice set?
Had to watch 2:45 a few times over
What is that SNARE?! DO WANT

TAMA Metalworks 14"x6,5"
No more double strokes on kicks ? And he got into a one foot blasts ? Interesting transition.
It's probably just because the tempo isn't very high. You don't really need to use double strokes for that speed.
the slower you go the harder it becomes to keep them consistent
true but it's still 190 bpm 16th notes if I'm not mistaken, I would love to play them with single strokes, but I'm stuck at 130, lol !
Luemm3l
keep practicing man! speed comes with control and endurance. those need to be your priority.
2:30 peek-a-boo dude.
Is that Sabian B8 china?
Fucking hell
Who drew the picture on the start of the video?
peter morbacher
Eargasm
Is this Amber Gaze played by Andrew Baird of Andrew Baird played by Amber Gaze?
amber isnt a common male name in the states m8. so it's andrew baird playing
Its Andrew Gaze played by Amber Baird.
Its the socks.
Does he use triggers? I know he does live, but here I cant tell.
Peristoval yep

It's the editors 'fault'. Be glad he doesn't play like a robot, repeating the same thing over and over.
around 1:43 same with the doublebass only on the db cam not on the normal shot
It's a lot more difficult than you think man. Having 3+ angles and who knows how many takes, it can get pretty confusing between editing and mixing.
