Thanks guys. When I moved to Switzerland from Ireland over three decades ago, Zopf was the bread you typically had fresh on Sunday mornings and in fact it was almost impossible to buy during the week. But now a days it is available at any time. And the käsekuchen you had is most often eaten for lunch by factory workers, farmers and others that are doing heavy manual work. They often add onions, bacon or mushrooms to it as well.

Thanks so much for explaining the food! We weren’t sure what the amazing kasekuchen was. So good! 😋

Was this on August 24th 2023? That was the worst storm of my life being stuck under a kiosk cafe in Freiburg. I filmed it for a few minutes. Everything seemed going horizontal.

Yes it was haha! It was such a terrible storm. Being stuck in a kiosk cafe sounds awful!

Hey, I'm really enjoying your videos. They are actually quite useful for planning our own adventure. I would be interested in knowing what make and model your tent was that got destroyed?

Thanks! The tent was the Big Agnes Fly Creek Mountain Glow 2

I was in the same area cycle touring in the early 1980's and experienced a similar storm. We his in a cafe ubtil it passed but it totally destroyed all the shop awnings and tables a chairs in a small town we were in. Cancelled camping that night and stayed in a small Pension. Great series of videos by the way, brings back lots of long forgotten memories.

I am loving your videos! They have been inspiring me to figure out how to get over to Europe for a bike tour! That storm was crazy. I am glad you were safe, but too bad about the tent. Thank you for sharing this great adventure!

Enjoying the videos. Could you have not bought a tent online and delivered when in the hotel?

We probably could have, but it may have taken a long time.

I absolutely hate valve cores. Why are they even a thing. If they are necessary they should at least be reverse-threaded like a bottom bracket on the NDS.
