    I'm so team eat early....
Robens tent is a great choice - I use a Robens Arch 2 and it's been battered around Scottish mountains, bike tours and river banks. I'll buy another when it finally dies. 👌

Oh wow. That’s great you’ve had a good experience with it! We didn’t know European brands so struggled to know which one to get.

Wifey and I get up early, first light and ride for a couple of hours and stop and eat breakfast. We always have 3-7 days of meals with us and around 10 pound bag of trail mix(LOL). When we stop we will dry the tent if soaking wet and switched to a 3 man tent last year as I am not so flexible anymore. We will only ride till 2-3pm at the latest with 4-6 hours riding as good enough. I prefer to be done as soon as the campers who are leaving the park are gone and so we have first choice of tenting spots. As old seniors we stay in western Canada bikepacking riding fatbikes mostly and stop and talk with whoever. We stop and take lots of photos and smell the roses too. Have fun, keep trucking.

We’ve done it that way a few times, but I (Alex) got so hungry on this trip that I had to eat right away. Now that we’re not on tour I usually wait an hour or 2 before eating.

I just discovered your channel and your vids are just awesome. It makes me feel great that you experienced so many great moments while cycling through my country (Germany, Schwarzwald aka Black forrest and the Bodensee area). Overall I‘m thankfull to live in Europe. It’s such a beautiful continent. I was just wondering where you are from in the US. Once you said northeast, when I‘m correct. Oregon or Washington?

Another great video Liz & Alex. Really well edited. Eating your way down through Europe. I’d have done the same. Love Italian food! 👍👍

Europe does not have glyphosate's sprayed on their wheat, that is why gluten doesn't bother you Liz. I always buy Italian pasta in the US for that reason.

I should try that too! I was so surprised that I handled it so much better there. The produce also tasted so much better we noticed…

Thanks! I recorded everything on my Garmin watch, so it’s in Garmin as well as Strava. We do have a website, and I’ll probably post the whole rout there at some point. I’ll have to put that on my to do list. If there is a particular section you’re looking for, I could send it over to you.

Ahhh, the sound when you bit that pizza crust… 😋 Yep, I can barely get through a bathroom visit and wash my face before needing to eat in the morning! Otherwise weak and nauseas.
It’s not Italy by any means 😆 but I live in Watauga Lake on Butler Tennessee, and the original town was flooded in the late 40s. It’s called ‘the town that wouldn’t drown’! My neighbors are 4-5th generation locals who share interesting stories about that time. When we bought our house, there were piles of old bricks all over the place that I collected to edge flower beds, and found out that they were salvaged from the elementary school that is now somewhere below the water!

Wow that is so cool! Had no idea there were other sunken towns. I bet it would be epic to scuba dive them!

9:40 good life experience there. if the tent is gone, it might cost 10x its price for next days 😬 that probably affects my route to prioritize buying a replacement tent.

In the study of Ayurveda that is considered a Pitta Constitution, meaning you have a hot metabolism and burn your calories up fast. Liz has a Kapha Constitution and therefore burns slower and holds onto her calories...lol fun fact. Also Pitta people are more quick to anger than the laid back Kapha people.@@PursuingMountains
