Do all of the Malawi Mbuna Johanni fish get along? I currently have 4 electric blue johanni's and am looking to add more to my tank. I just want them to get along.
Johanni will work the same as all mbuna. Larger numbers will work best to help disperse aggression, add in groups as lone fish added will become targets.
@@ProtimAquatics yes mate, I suppose it's not completely essential as there are many popular channels out there where you never see the creators, I just felt it was the right time for me, I'll probably do an information video like this every so often, the trouble is finding things to talk about that aren't already massively covered, especially within the fishkeeping hobby.
I got all of them in my tanks and they are amazing and they also can tolarate each other if you keep enough of them in a roomy tank with many hiding places and if you keep them well fed!!!
@@HeapAquatics My johanni is really peaceful like most of them malawi cichlids,I can see sometimes the yellow lombardoi, the socolofi or the goldfin borleyi chase some tank mates and my only tanganyika fish lambrologus lemon or the gold gourami chase the malawi cichlids,as you see fish that they are "called" inoffensive. You can't say many about fish sometimes that's what makes them great and amazing to have them in your house.Natutre is surprisengly beautiful!!!
lol I have all these fish in the same tank the first 4 are the same aggrishion they are also you said don't have them in the tank but you have them in the same I know I have 12 cichlilds tanks and all cichlilds can go in the same tank apart from like 4 of em
thanks for the fish names but your wrong you can almost put any cichlilds together just put them when there babies and they will be fine just like don't put mbunas with peacocks I have 5 tanks with both them in it just do your research yes if you don't want them to die don't put them together but don't say they can't yeah you put 4 mbunas in with 12 peacocks 1 might die but not all of them duh go to my UA-cam Ryan vision I will post a video on it so if you want to understand you can check that out

Thanks buddy.... Get some, I highly recommend mbuna especially these ones.
Very nice list I love mbuna
Thankyou jc, I was meant to leave a few honorable mentions at the end but I thought the video was long enough at 5 minutes.
Gorgeous fish i am on the Mbuna path
Good choice, there are a million and one reasons to be on that path, the colour is just the first.
Interesting and beautiful fishes! Thanks for your informative video 👍

Oh snap ! How I missed this video !😭😭 Great to see you infront of camera Brother !!👍😄
Hey thanks Tim, I thought I should probably make an appearance as the channel is now around 60+ videos in haha

@@HeapAquatics Right Brother.👍👍
Hi Heap... my favourite fish. I love the Mbuna most. They are more difficult with their aggression but I still really love them
These are also may favourites of all african cichlids, your just getting so much with them.
They are all so pretty!!
Thanks Ash, I think these are great collective of firm favourites.
I love the yellow tail acei my tank arrives next week so will be getting them and yellow labs when my tank is cycled
That is a great selection to start with, good contrast in colour and not overly aggressive.
Yo man . Good video . Thanks for sharing. Is this your first face appearance on your channel ? . Like #5
Thanks bud. Yes as I'm about 60 videos in I thought it was about time I made an appearance haha
Cool man . Nice to see a face behind talking words .
Nice.. but audio, couldn't really hear you
Yeah it is pretty poor the sound didn't render very well, I've since upgraded my mic.
I got all of them in my tanks and they are amazing and they also can tolarate each other if you keep enough of them in a roomy tank with many hiding places and if you keep them well fed!!!
Good good, these make a good mix of mbuna, the Johannis can be a pain sometimes but again should be OK mixed with large numbers of fish.

all mbuna can go together just some or more aggressive than others.
all cichlilds can go together apart from some yeah some might like 2 but your risk if you want

I have all these fish in the same tank along with lake Tanganyika and haps and they do just fine
Same, they always fair better in large numbers.
My fav is the Yellow Lab :)
And rightly so, they are the fish that drew me towards african cichlids. They definitely deserve that no1 spot.
Thanks for the info but this audio is horrible
Cheers for the feedback chase, the audio is always something I can work on.
