This is intended to work with the Brother Scan N Cut DX series too? It looks like it would be possible to make overlay templates with inkjet or laser printable overhead projection film that bear the same registration marks used on the hoops. This would help to prevent damaging the plastic hoops. It would potentially be useful with the Scan N Cut's scanner element for capturing data to send to USB Flash Drives & over insecure wi-fi. I wonder if the sewing machine can be directly connected over USB to a host PC or to a Scan N Cut?
The Brother website doesn't really go into all the connectivity options their machines have. Rather they tend to push the latest fad instead of detailing all the features and benefits like a good salesman should.
