This week, we start the chicken coop build with some fresh tires, bake sourdough, set up our new fridge with some meal prep, and enjoy a long summer day on the land. It's been such a beautiful new chapter of this adventure to get to build projects together as a family and I'm so excited to have our chickens soon and have more life and joy on our homestead!

I got my Unwind link last night & I hope to try it this week. Your other meditations have helped me working with stress control. I just had a cardiac procedure a week ago so stress control is important. Besides your wonderful content, having been a professional videography for over 40 years, I know the amount of work you put into Unwind so it is worth every penny. Say HI! to Max for me! Looking forward to the chicken coop. Chickens are very intelligent. They have been a companion to my friend's 10 year old. Thanks for the zoom party! Have you considered making a pull up “drying rack style table top” across from the stove that drops onto the counter next to the sink so you can air dry your dishes on it? It looks like maybe the issue is you have nowhere to stack drying dishes… that way you can tuck it away in the morning/during the day… I can see it in my mind’s eye… not sure I have properly described it though… but it would make the kitchen even more functional for you Dana.

I really appreciate the balance you guys have found with including Max in your content but not making Max your content. My son is just a couple months younger than Max. It’s neat seeing the toddler stage he’s at versus my son. I just really enjoy your videos.
While I appreciate the helpfulness and power of guided meditation it is critical to be mindful in a quiet manner also. No human voices especially. I get the most grounded from ambient music with no lyrics or best yet the sounds of the natural world.
definitely! it is so interesting how some methods resonate more with one person than others. i also wonder if maybe the context of where we spend most of our time impacts this, too, like if someone who lives in a city would benefit from more stillness exercises? in any case it is so cool to be around in a time where there is such a variety to try them out :)

I've been very impressed with Freya's training, but the nonchalant way that Lou talks about her nearly catching a deer is quite disturbing. Freya needs to be trained to not harass the wildlife. You introduced a predator and so you need to be able to manage that without harming the ecosystem.
Why would you listen to your own voice while cleaning? lol weird. I'm not into the whole idea of Unwind, but I hope it's successful for you two.
