Your message of conservation, proper predator management, proper hunting etiquette and law following, it just goes hand in hand about how I felt personally about the very same things. You opened my eyes and mind to preserving that respect for that animal and being able to have something you can look at that triggers those memories, well what can you say. I will say, it is satisfying to see all the crud come off of the skull and finally see it clean though. These videos are also quite educational, and I love biology/anatomy stuff.

leo the idiot NO boiling, NO pressure washing, NO bleach. Boiling will actually hide grease and set it in, it will leach out over time attracting bugs that will eat at your skull and bleach will deteriorate the bone causing it to flake and fall apart. There is no way to stop or reverse this damage. Maceration, beetles, a bone box or an ant hill are all good ways to clean it. Degrease using dawn and hot water, it’s time consuming but a fish tank heater to keep water warm helps. Then whiten using peroxide diluted with water.
I respect that even though you just destroyed this dead cow with a k idea you did this for a respectable reason to honor her and get her up on the wall ❤️

Currently cleaning a cow skull we found in the middle of a pasture using your method, we will see how it goes! We are to our first boil! UPDATE!!!! We followed your video to a T and ours came out great! Nice and white, very clean. Thanks for the detailed video on how to do this properly!
Wonderful work there! I'm not such a fan of hunting for trophies so I stay away from it, but I recently found a fox skeleton in a small wooded area an I'm displaying it in loving memory of it and planting a bush where it was dug up. I'm going into the degreasing process and cleaning soon!
-Remove any remaining tissue or hide from the bone -Immerse the bone in a container of water. -Leave the container in a warm location where you won't mind the smell. -Periodically pour the greasy, smelly water out (gardens love it!) and replace with fresh water. -When the water runs clear, the bacteria have run their course. -Soak the bone in regular drugstore strength hydrogen peroxide until it reaches the whiteness you prefer. This also sterilizes the bone. -You're done!
