To clean 4 cups of water and add shofar clean solution that I did not understand the name of it. But do twice and twice a year. She anointed with virgin olive oil and essential oil. She said to just love on it as you rub the oils in I don’t remember the name of essential oil. Hopefully someone can add the name and what I have missed. And add the ending with the incense. I hope this does a translation for you as yours in Spanish did for me. 😊
My shofar just arrived and OH that smell coming from both ends, but especially the mouthpiece. I know for sure that it's the real deal...a true rams horn. Thanks for the cleaning tutorial. A little disinfecting and some fragrant anointing oil and it'll be just fine. Shalom!
Shalom. Forgive me if this sounds critical in nature, but have you had the conversation about "anointing" the shofar with the oil and frankincense with a rabbi? I was under the impression that only Levites or Kohanim (sp?) could anoint with anointing oil? Thanks for the video. I recently received a shofar as a gift (it's a small one - not anywhere near the size or beauty of yours), but I was really touched to receive it. I'm happy to know that how to care for it.

@@koladonai3408 its okay. i used liquid detergent and then after dried, i rub it with pure olive oil for skin (not for cooking for better moisturizer). i kept it in its cover with one bag of silica gel. it worked out just fine. thankyou 😊
I found your channel because I just received a shofar that I ordered in the mail. It just arrived today. And when I tried to blow through it. It smelled so bad, I was like there has to be something that I can do to get rid of the smell. When I was a kid someone gave my parents a shofar. I tried to make sound through it. I started to panic because I couldn't make a trumpet noise. And today when I tried to make a trumpet noise. I could only blow air through it. But that panic feeling came back of doubting myself if I am actually ever going to be able to make sound through it. But I will look at videos and ask for God's help to teach me how to make sound. But first I need to get rid of the smell. Found this video hugely helpful for the proper maintenance on the shofar. Can you do more videos please. Of course as God leads.

And I still feel compelled to use it some how. But like you said there are times when it is inappropriate to play it. But at night when everyone in the house is sleeping I can blow air into quietly. And everyone that is anle to sleep will be able to sleep in peace.

I’m so happy you enjoyed the video... thieves is a young living essential oil product it has clove citrus lemon cinnamon rosemary eucalyptus and some other really long words🙃it works very well for getting the musk smell out

I bought a Shofar in Detroit at a Jewish shop. There is a very pungent odor. Is the smell from bacteria? Would this process take care of it? Thank you for all of your insight! (40in semi finished Kudu)
The natural odor of a shofar is very musky. I have found this process works very well for me, not to mention any bacteria, mold, etc. that may be present won’t stand a chance;) then in time when you notice the musky odor returning is when you repeat the frankincense resin part of the video. I have been called to sound the Alarm, i felt that i could not do, but the Holy Spirit kept speaking to me telling me that i am just the vessel and it is the LORD who speaks through me. Wow, that was amazing!!! Thank you for the teaching AND the amazing sound. I’m just now learning about the Shofar and just recently bought my first two ( no where near as big as yours, though). I bought them to aid me in getting closer to Daddy God and to help break free from the strongholds that have bound me for the past 60+ yrs. I know that the playing of the Shofar breaks into heaven and draws His attention, which is what I both need and want. One day, I pray I’m making beautiful music to Him as you just did. I use a soft foam ear plug to keep water in.

My shofar far is probably about half almost have the size of the one I have in the video does that make it harder two make it sound

I bought a shofar last year. But its got a funk to it not terrible i had cleaning spray but it dumped out on me so ill try your way of cleaning it

@@koladonai3408 its okay. i used liquid detergent and then after dried, i rub it with pure olive oil for skin (not for cooking for better moisturizer). i kept it in its cover with one bag of silica gel. it worked out just fine. thankyou 😊

I found your channel because I just received a shofar that I ordered in the mail. It just arrived today. And when I tried to blow through it. It smelled so bad, I was like there has to be something that I can do to get rid of the smell. When I was a kid someone gave my parents a shofar. I tried to make sound through it. I started to panic because I couldn't make a trumpet noise. And today when I tried to make a trumpet noise. I could only blow air through it. But that panic feeling came back of doubting myself if I am actually ever going to be able to make sound through it. But I will look at videos and ask for God's help to teach me how to make sound. But first I need to get rid of the smell. Found this video hugely helpful for the proper maintenance on the shofar. Can you do more videos please. Of course as God leads.

@@koladonai3408 So I was wondering what to do at night. You just answered my question. There are times when I can't sleep and it seems that God calls me to pray. And I still feel compelled to use it some how. But like you said there are times when it is inappropriate to play it. But at night when everyone in the house is sleeping I can blow air into quietly. And everyone that is anle to sleep will be able to sleep in peace.

I’m so happy you enjoyed the video... thieves is a young living essential oil product it has clove citrus lemon cinnamon rosemary eucalyptus and some other really long words🙃it works very well for getting the musk smell out

I bought a Shofar in Detroit at a Jewish shop. There is a very pungent odor. Is the smell from bacteria? Would this process take care of it? Thank you for all of your insight! (40in semi finished Kudu)
The natural odor of a shofar is very musky. I have found this process works very well for me, not to mention any bacteria, mold, etc. that may be present won’t stand a chance;) then in time when you notice the musky odor returning is when you repeat the frankincense resin part of the video. When you blew into the Shofar it sounds as though you was sounding the🚨Alarm. I have been called to sound the Alarm, i felt that i could not do, but the Holy Spirit kept speaking to me telling me that i am just the vessel and it is the LORD who speaks through me. Everyone has their own sound and The Holy Spirit has developed mine over the past 10 + years and I have truly enjoyed each year...the sounding is the most amazing when I get out of the way...if you know what I mean😉

Wow, that was amazing!!! Thank you for the teaching AND the amazing sound. I’m just now learning about the Shofar and just recently bought my first two ( no where near as big as yours, though). I bought them to aid me in getting closer to Daddy God and to help break free from the strongholds that have bound me for the past 60+ yrs. I know that the playing of the Shofar breaks into heaven and draws His attention, which is what I both need and want. One day, I pray I’m making beautiful music to Him as you just did.
