    Hello dear friends :) I was not planning to film this video but I thought that I could share with you my second day wear test. :) I was surprised by the results. The powder quickly made my skin very oily. I hope you will find my video helpful. This video is intended to help you. I am not saying that this is a bad powder. I'm sure it will work great on some people. I am still testing it and I will post a dedicated review in a few days. However, so far I am not very impressed with the results. xoxo

      So just buy the foundation and the spray and a lipliner 😁💞 hope that can help you. Maybe the powder next time but??? Not sure 😉💞

    I admire your persistence! Most products reviewed on UA-cam rarely work on my very dry, mature pigmented skin.
    Don't feel bad.

    Thanks for your honest review. I love Dior makeup, but I usually only wear liquid foundations. Although, I did find the Backstage Face&Body foundation a little bit drying. I'm curious as well to see what happens with this powder test in a few days!

    This powder works better without foundation. I tried it with Dior Forever natural nude and Estée Lauder water fresh foundation and it looked very cakey. If I only use a little concealer and no foundation at all, it gives me a very natural light coverage. Blurs my pores as well. Perfect for no makeup makeup look. I have combination skin

    The powder definitely seems to be for drier skin types. I have been looking at the Tisse Rivoli quad for a while, it is very pretty on you, I'm not sure if it would be good for 'more mature' eyelids. I may just give it a try. Thank you for the video and the thorough review. You always look beautiful! Take care, Ginny 😘😘😘

    • @Frenchforaday
      @Frenchforaday  3 роки тому +4

      Hello Ginny :) Tisse Rivoli looks gorgeous eve on "more mature" eyelids because the sheen is very subtle and sophisticated. I think these kind of shades look even more beautiful than matte eyeshadow because they diffuse the light and make the eyes pop but in a very elegant way. I think you should definitely give it a try. If you do, please let me know what you think. xoxo

    Angela I ve just seen the application of the powder on an oily skin and she said that it was awful till she wear it 5 times and after that she said that it has a "pellicule" on the top of the powder that we have to take of and after that It works better can you please tell us if it's right? And also she put it as a bronzer and it works?! Thank you 💞

    Both Chantecaille and Jouer make mica-based powders like this Dior. They are not setting powders, they are finishing or spot blur powders. I am combo skinned, and I am much older so a blur powder like this is very handy. First I use an actual setting powder to set my makeup and control oil, such as the Prisme Libre powder. Then I can use the blur powder one of two ways: with a kabuki-style buffing brush (such as Sonja G face brushes), I stamp a tiny amount of the mica powder onto my pore spots and the under-eye. The second way is to use the kabuki buffing brush to buff the cheeks with the powder to add glow. I do not use the mica powder in my T-zone because it is already glowy and my matte setting powder takes care of that. If you watch Grace at EverydayEdit, she uses the mica powder to stamp on her concealer spots.

      Hello Cwyn :) That's how I started using the powder and I will show it in my full review of the powder (video coming in a week). However I still don't like the powder. I made it work somehow but I will definitely put in my drawer of unused makeup products. It's just not as flattering on me as Chanatecaille or hourglass finishing powders. xoxo

    Nice video! I tried the new Dior powder and I’m sending it to a friend with a very dry skin. I didn’t like it. My t zone was very greasy too and was a pretty cold day. I can’t imagine how would be on a hot humid english summer. 😖

    I think this is the most disappointed I have ever seen you about a product, so I believe it must be truly awful. Maybe they designed it for dry skin? But I don't know, how many of us with dry skin are really in the market for a powder foundation.
