I think you might be onto something at the end there. I've been an enjoy-er of brutally difficult single-player games my whole life, but as the last year has all been an upward climb of real life accomplishments, on a level I don't think I've ever reached in the past, I spend way less time on those types of games than I used to. Like, consciously speaking I still want to conquer those games as much as I ever did, but on an instinctive level I rarely feel like actually doing it.
