If you're hit by someone without insurance, your insurance will go for them, and you can claim through the motor insurance bureau who all insurance pays into to cover uninsured drivers etc.

Had a 94 for 4 years from 96-2000. It was amazing. Very unreliable but you learn how to fix em. My boy had one at the same time and they would almost blow up at the same time. People that think they are reliable have absolutely never owned one. Ever.

its probably a big resonator tube thats tuned to some series of frequencies. if you had a non acoustic guitar and placed its headstock against a hollow wall and placed your ear against the wall you'd hear it be amplified a bit. or had a sealed sub box vs a ported one that was tuned appropriately youd notice a volume difference thats pretty significant. difference is the tuned or ported options are physically larger. usually by a fair bit.

Even if you go through 2 motors across a reasonable time frame. Maybe youd have to replace and or upgrade the turbos, which by and large is going to be a "youll do it once" thing. Outside that- the maintenance of the vehicle is pretty similar (in whats necessary as well as costs) to most other comparable sports cars from the era.
I remember in 2011-2012 when I was looking for my first car I was at my dads in Washington and Canada was 8 hour trip and they had rx-7 fd for like max 5k same with some skyline gtsts as well I miss the days when their were cheap eclipses and 240s but I’m happy with my 3k dollar r53
