  • This is the NEW way which I have come up with, to stretch your Hip Flexors in an active, healthy and safe way. Active stretching is very important as it has a longer effect than passive stretches. As opposed to other hip flexors which may pull on the spine when done, this is a very safe flexor and gives great relief for SI joint pain and low back pain!

    I just finished giving this a try. It's great! A wonderful stretch to the hip flexor without hurting my back. During one attempt I felt a mild discomfort on the right side of my back and so I made sure I was engaging my core and glutes and immediately relief from the discomfort. Thank you so very much for this video and all of your videos!

    I have learned so much from your videos. Especially for my sacro joint and hip flexors. I had no idea that "hip flexors" are a huge collection of muscles. I'm having cramping and spasms around my lumbar spine and pelvis. Thank you.

      Hi Olena, thank you very much for your comment! Dr. Ryan put together a video on which exercises are good for back pain and which ones will hurt your back more. I think it would be helpful for your situation. You can watch it here: ua-cam.com/video/Detp9O-9x5A/v-deo.html. I hope this is helpful! 😊

    How often in a week we can this exercise?

    • @CoreBalance
      @CoreBalance  5 місяців тому

      Hi Денис, thanks for reaching out! You can do these exercises as often as you feel comfortable with. The key is to listen to your body as you do the movements, and let your body guide you on how often to practice. Feel free to adjust based on what feels right for you. 😊

    Hi I’m very lost and confused si belt provides me relief but the relief isn’t straight away takes 30 minutes to kick in, also I was told I. Have a herniated disc they haven’t given me an mri Sciatica on my left leg and knee pain sometimes, the pain is right on that left side sacral dimple I put a serola belt on relief!!!
    Does that mean I have been misdiagnosed does that mean I don’t have a herniated disc does that mean I’m hyper mobile?
    or does the si belt work for herniated disc and si problems I really confused please help.

      Hi John, I can understand where you are coming from; this would be distressing for anyone. While we would be unable to assess if you have been misdiagnosed, Dr. Ryan believes all of these issues are interrelated and are part of the more significant issue of muscle imbalance.
      Often, when there is a problem in one area of the body, the result is increased pain and dysfunction throughout the entire body. Please keep in mind that the SI belt is meant to be used as a short-term solution, so it is not usual that this may not address your SI joint pain in the way that you would hope.
      We believe that there is a long-term solution to each of these problems that are currently plaguing you. By forging a new relationship with your core and learning how to move more core-centered, we believe you can find the relief you seek regardless of your diagnosis or lack thereof. We take a whole-body approach for whole-body balance.

    😞 I must not be strong enough yet. I can barely lift a leg off the floor when in the bridge.and keep my core that engaged. I will try, but it immediately pulls my back out of alignment

      Hi Barbara, thank you for sharing! These are more advanced movements, and it's generally better to start with foundational exercises to strengthen your core muscles and stabilize your spine, gradually building strength and endurance. I recommend focusing on the Back Anchor Progression or bridge exercise, depending on your current level of tolerance while you work on building strength. Feel free to update us in the Student Hub on how it goes for you!
