About The Museum of Classic Chicago Television:
The MCCTv (FuzzyMemoriesTV) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose primary mission is the preservation and display of off-air, early home videotape recordings (70s to early 80s, mostly) recorded off of TV (in Chicago or other cities now too); things which would likely be lost if not sought out and preserved digitally. If you have any old 1970s videotapes recorded off of TV please email: tapes@fuzzy.tv Even though (mostly) short clips are displayed here, we preserve the entire broadcasts in our archives - the complete programs with breaks (or however much is present on the tape), for historical preservation. For information on how to help in our mission, to donate or lend tapes to be converted to digital, please e-mail tapes@fuzzy.tv Thank you for your help!
When I was a child, my best friend lived down the street and I just ADORED her parents. Every now and again, they would take me out to eat with them, and this was one of our favorite destinations. What great memories I have of them 🩷
Ponderosa was such a family staple, even in the 90s.. ♥
Miss Ponderosa and Mothers both had great food.
Do you mean Mother’s Pizza?
Yes@@jkt4748
Bonanza and Ponderosa were good places to eat. We would take our dates to Bonanza then head to the local Drive IN movie
I still remember the Ponderosa Steakhouse in Johnstown, NY. My family used to go there for dinner on a weekend when I was a child.
It’s currently Sam’s Seafood Steakhouse.
really great commercial
Ponderosa, sizzler, western sizzlin. Steak and salad buffet. The 80's were great memories.
I miss both Ponderosa and Bonanza. My parents and I used to eat at one of them on Sundays back in the day.

Yes, I remember the Regency Steak House in Oak Lawn.
At 13, I thought I was grown going there.
Cattle Company on 159th in Calumet City
$2.29!!!! That's why I buy my steak at the Dollar Store.
Mr. Steak
Holy crap I'm a kid again 😄
I miss Ponderosa's Grand Buffet. Sadly buffet restaurants have now fallen out of favor because of COVID concerns.
Wut
They were closing shop Way before COVID.
Ponderosa was all right
He paid $10 for the meal and skipped on the tip. Some things never change.
For anyone wondering, adjusting for inflation, $2.29 in 1980 is worth $8.74 in 2024. Look at those meals (plus unlimited salad bar) and think about it…
Does anyone remember Regency Steakhouse in Oak Lawn?
